As a former waitress, I'm always pleasant, yet the server was non attentive, disinterested, forgot an item we ordered, and never asked how everything was. Probably the worst dining experience we've had at ihop... and that says a lot considering we've ordered and doordashed soggy pancakes before. Our server was SO SLOW and we went at kind of an off time (around 11). Took us almost 35 minutes to get our food (again, not very busy), and after waiting for 20 minutes, our server came back to ask us a question about how my boyfriend wanted his steak - she hasn't even put the order in yet! Had to request my drink twice. Look, we don't expect Michelin star dining... but if we're paying for service, it would've been nice to have been seen with a little more efficiency. Food - breakfast - hard to ruin right? Wrong. The eggs were runny - the hash browns were undercooked and the "sausage" links were these weird mini hot dog things. The coffee was weak and watery and so was the OJ. Service - the absolute worst. The above food items for some reason were brought to me each on a small separate plate. I had to ask for a large plate so I could deposit my food on it and at least make my breakfast look like the picture on the menu I was pointing to (hate that). I ate it because I was hungry. Service - the check came - $17.25 - I confronted the wait person with the fact that I ordered the 55+ sunrise breakfast for $8.99 which at first he denied they offered - I had to show him on the menu and he went off to recalculate the bill. He came back with the adjusted bill with the sunrise $8.99 on it but the total was still 17.25! Well ok -I was done with this - the dude went to get change for my $20 bill. The dude came back with my change - but only gave me two 1 dollar bills - he said he did not have any coins! So he would have to owe me the balance? I told him to give me another dollar and I would owe him. He gave me another dollar 1 dollar bill - I grabbed it and left. We came here yesterday to grab something to eat while waiting for my clothing to be processed at Plato's down the street. The host at the front ended up being our server as well. He was pretty good but he was being pulled a ton of different directions so I felt bad for him. (He had to seat people, serve people, and run his own orders) I decided to try a new item on their menu: the Belgian chocolate pancakes (chocolate chips, chocolate mousse, and whipped cream). The description made it sound amazing but in reality, they were extremely underwhelming. The pancakes were dry on top (when you cut into them, they were really flakey on top) and didn't taste like anything special. The only chocolate taste came from the sprinkle of chocolate chips and the mousse on top. My eggs and sausage were cooked to order so they were fine. My grandmother and sister's food was okay (they had a philly cheeesteak with fries and fish and mashed potatoes) Our server was great; we didn't have to wait too long for anything. They don't follow the $6.00 prices that they advertise, and have over priced drinks. Just wait till Golden Corral comes to this area,than they will drop the prices to a reasonable amount but it will be to late. Soda costs about .02 per ounce wholesale. The legendary pancake house suffers badly from poor management, ridiculously long wait times (25+ minutes midweek!), and insufficient wait staff. I've been here several times assuming the 'start-up issues' would fade when they really just get worse. On a positive note, the food is generally well-prepared and served hot. One of the worse managed iHop 's I've experienced. Brand newly built. Open floor plan. Employees lack pride in their work. I overheard them talking about the manager- as they should - she was ineffective. The waitress clothes are stained, the workers stand around until the manager comes around then they scatter. The food was mediocre. Bacon not crisp the redo was almost burnt. The manager was talking to the staff ie they were kids - looks like a lack of training. Too bad management doesn't take better care of this business to hire and maintain a quality staff who take pride in working in a beautiful new restaurant. I won't be back. We went there to try their breakfast on a Monday morning. We arrived a little after 10 and were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. It ended up being more like 40 minutes. When we were being led back to our table, I noticed a large section of empty tables. They said they were short on servers. Our food arrived in an acceptable amount of time, but one of the omelettes had diced tomatoes on it when we specifically asked them not to put them on. It was easy enough to just scrape them off, so we didn't complain. To be honest, our waiter didn't seem overly busy at all. He spent a lot of time standing at the computer where they enter the orders, so I definitely think they could have had more tables open. A lot of people in the lobby left after getting tired of waiting and some turned around as soon as they got in the door. I would say at least a couple hundred dollars worth of sales they could have had were lost just from the customers we saw leaving because of the wait. I understand they opened a few weeks ago and still have some issues to fix, so we'll give it another try. The food was good. I did not enjoy this IHOP at all. Ive come to this specific location 3 times, and each time was a disappointment, and I always walked out the door dissatisfied. Firstly, their pancakes tasted funny for some reason, and when I cut into them, they seemed to be undercooked (only the top and bottom seemed to be cooked. Second, I have no idea what they put in their scrambled eggs (...milk maybe?...), but they're flavourless, and they have a wet texture. Don't try to add salt to them either, it makes it worse. :) In addition, every time I went, there were barely any people inside. Just me and my family, and maybe a few other tables of 2-3 people, but it still takes as long for us to receive our food as it does when the place is packed (at a different, more popular location). My son asked for a table of 3 and was told it was going to be a 15 minute wait, which seemed great until we started to notice something weird- other people were getting seated in front of us. After 25 minutes I asked what was going on and the hostess said she had forgotten to ask for a name for the table so just disregarded us. She literally overlooked us, basically telling us to go f*** ourselves, and when I confronted her all she had to say was "you can wait until all these other people pass". She did not give a flying f*** and didn't even have the decency of treating us like the other customers, maybe because we weren't white. Very unimpressed with the service we received from this restaurant Friday, November 15th Husband and I walked in with our two grandkids and found no hostess or waiter to take us to a table. We finally cedar ourselves and got our own highchair; A waitress finally came over from her huddle with five other waitresses in the back of the restaurant. We got our meals and the waitress went back to her huddle. After finishing with two very impatient children, my husband again had to find our waitress so we could get our bill. Needless to say she received no tip. We haven't been to this I have it twice before and the managers on duty were very obliging especially since we brought in our two grandkids. I was so looking forward to a pancake breakfast with my husband at the new IHOP. Unfortunately we went before the restaurant was fully staffed with capable employees. There were many empty tables, yet we waited 15 minutes to be seated. They were very understaffed. Our waitress was clearly stressed out and kept telling us she was trying to recuperate from being "slammed" but she was frazzled the entire time. She got our order wrong and never brought toast. We split a tuxedo pancake combo. The food took forever but the pancakes were delicious. My husband's eggs, hash brown, and bacon were fair. He unhappily ate the eggs without toast. Went for like lunch today. IHop was half full. Our server was quite attentive and helpful. Mediocre service seems a common complaint in other reviews. We ordered Swedish Crepes and Breakfast Sliders using small pancakes instead of bread to make the sandwiches. It all came out promptly and tasted good and freshly made. I can only rate based on our experience. Prices are quite reasonable, there is a very large selection of breakfast dishes and listing calories for each menu item or add on is really helpful to avoid empty calories and eating. They offer lunch and diner items but the offerings appeared bare bones at We returned for breakfast. It was Sunday about 1:00 PM. There was a twenty minute wait to be seated. The server gave us our drinks relatively promptly and then WAIT. The restaurant was emptying out and servers including what appeared to be the manager were taking a leisurely lunch break. We appeared to be invisible. After perhaps a half hour our breakfast platters were served. They were tasty, avocado toast and a breakfast melt sandwich. Both came with optional fruit. The franchisee who converted their old restaurant in this same building to an IHOP did the public no favors. As I walked around the whole restaurant looking for an outlet to plug into I noticed the floor was greasy and slippery everywhere-- the whole restaurant was being mopped daily with greasy, dirty water. Then there is the matter of not being able to connect-- no outlets at any booth or table, and no WiFi. The manager confirmed: the owners do not provide WiFi. I couldn't believe they would remodel an old restaurant, and rebrand it, and NOT put in electrical outlets and WiFi, to compete with Wegman', Panera, Bob Evans and my other usual places where I go to eat and work. Ok. IHop is the most gross place I've been to eat. It thakes like 30 minuets to bring out three drinks like seriously it take like five minutes anywhere else. It's dirty and disgusting. Their eggs suck so much, their sausage tastes frozen, every single worker in there looks so unhappy and for about 15-20 minuets two of the workers were standing at the table behind me and talking to a family and they weren't doing anything else till around the time I left and then they started to clean off the tables. Their building looks like it was built like they just threw random things to get her and tried to match the colors. Ok, fairly new IHOP here and I like IHOP but haven't been in awhile... thought I would check it out before my appointment in the city. 8:30am About 5 tables total. Greeted nicely after waiting only 3 minutes. I was seated for about 1 minute when the server arrived and said: "Hi there! Are you ready?" Really? Nationwide chain restaurant and that is how the server greets a new customer? So I asked, ready for what? Then, she said, "to order or get some thing to drink?" Ok Later she said she had only been here a couple of weeks. Apparently no one trained her yet. I observed another server do basically the same thing to a new table sat near us. Oh well, kinda a bummer that someone would spend all this money to open a new place and then not know how to operate it or give good service. Food arrived by another server who was very pleasant and smiley! Just started eating and my server laid the check on my table as she walked by, not a word ...? Can't imagine she will be here long? Anyway, bacon was good. Pancakes gummy and separated top from bottom when I tried to cut them. Got the server name from the check since she never told me Tarayne... please train her. You would think that a company with "Pancakes" in its name would specialize in light, fluffy pancakes. Instead, they serve dense, gummy pancakes that require as much syrup as possible in order to be consumed. Their sausage tastes as though they came out of a "brown -n- serve" box, and their eggs are mediocre at best. The hash browns and coffee were decent, but that's where my compliments end. Greeters in food service should enthusiastically greet their guests upon entering, instead of just asking "how many". Thus, they should thank guests on their way out instead of telling us to "have a good one". Nothing impressed about this place, and it's a shame because we had high hopes.
