This is one of the best IHOP I have eaten at. I had the all-you-can-eat pancakes and they were coming back to back hot buttery and fresh. Our waitress was the best she was on point. I believe her name was iada. I recommend this IHOP over any when it comes to breakfast and service. BAD, bad, bad service. I went on my lunch hour, 1st mistake! 20 minutes before we needed to be back at work, still no food, so we asked for the food to go because the staff appeared to be in NO rush. 20 minutes later, still no food!! When they finally brought the food out, it was on plates, not boxed! WHAT??? Back into the kitchen to box up the food. I got the check, I gave Sam my card, but she never brought it back. I found it laying in a pile at the front desk, along with 5 other checks. Anyone could have stolen my card! Nobody at the register! We got back to work, late and without eating. We got nothing taken off our check, the manager never came by to apologize, we didn't even get our drinks in a to-go cup, which we requested! All around bad. The worst part, nobody seemed to care. as far as Ihop's go this is the best one in the SoCo area. the service is usually friendly. There are a couple of people that are a bit over friendly for me. i would rather have over friendly than rude. the food is good at this one. i'll choose this Ihop over the one off Watson Rd anyday. sometimes the flavored syrups are not on all the tables. it is usually pretty clean. this is my favorite ihop in the area. read more

My favorite restaurant. The new manager is extremely friendly. They have the Best pancakes anywhere. Hands down! I've tried a few of the advertised specials.. Fruit pancakes, etc but they will put you into a diabetic coma.. Too sweet to even eat. So stick with the normal food on their menu. Pancakes, sausages, hash browns, eggs. Everything is always cooked perfectly just as you request it! My husband gets the beef tips and he says they are better than Texas Steakhouse version. (where we often eat steak.) Highly recommend. This IHOP has gone down in recent years. I remember coming when I was younger and being greeted by friendly service. When I walked in today, no one greeted us and only said the number 2. They then proceeded to mutter something under their breath to their coworker about me and my party. Then the hostess refused to seat us and instead passed it off to another girl doing another job. We waited for about 10 minutes before the server came by and at that point we were contemplating leaving. She said she'd be right with us. They had seated us at a 6 top table for only two people. They then came back and got us waters. As they were getting the water the back of house workers got into a verbal argument about how coffee is supposed to be brewed. And at that point we got up and left because the restaurant was taking forever. Was not friendly to us and definitely didn't work hard enough for us to spend our money there. Bad service. read more

I'm from Chicago so am used to seeing 24hr IHOPs all around, and didn't find many here in STL while on vacation. This particular one is open all night on the weekends, which is a plus. Was nice to get a late night pancake craving here with the girlfriend at almost 3am. Great and cheerful staff working there that time of morning. read more

We went here Friday night, possibly 8 or so. We were seated and while we waited for drinks, an older server was scolding a poor server named Jake. She was VERY unprofessional. When did it become okay for one to scold an employee in front of customers? We kept waiting. Jake ended up being our server and he was great. We ordered our meal from one server and Jake took over our table, he was really nice! Our food came, my omelet comes with salsa and it says there plain as day in the menu. Jake brings our food and asked if we need anything, I said my salsa please. He goes back to the kitchen and a cook yells at him, "Wasn't on the ticket!" And poor Jake who did not take our order told him that he didn't make the ticket. Older lady with frizzy hair: shame on you for scolding this boy in front of customers! Unprofessional! I am usually disappointed when I go to an IHOP, but we went to the Fenton Mo location this morning and the food was fantastic! Easily the best IHOP I have ever visited. This place is really going downhill. It used to be my favorite IHOP. The last three times I have dined here, we have waited 40 to 45 minutes for our food to come out after ordering. My husband and I don't order anything too complex, just usually eggs and bacon or a sandwich, and they're usually not that busy when were there. We intentionally go during off hours so that they're less busy. The last time we dined here our server actually forgot about us. He never came over for refills and something was missing from my husband's order. I heard numerous other tables complaining about him as well. We attempted to dine here last night. I had asked the server for a booth in the corner. She said no because then she'd have to clean it. Did she not intend to clean the booth we were sat at? There were only two other couples in the room and the couple we were sat right next to were horrendous. They were freely cursing, loudly kissing, and then the girl began sobbing. Had the server let us move a couple booths down like I had asked, it may have been tolerable. We took our business elsewhere. I have social anxiety and don't like being put right on top of someone else's table. The comment about the server having to clean the booth that I requested was a bit off-putting. It didn't really make a lot of sense and we came to the conclusion that she just didn't want to walk the extra 5 feet. read more

Almost a 5 star experience. Our server Kelly was awesome. Very knowledgeable with the menu and had some great suggestions for personal modifications on each plate. She was on top of things and paced the meal perfectly. The food was delicious and my (generally high maintenance) grandparents even gave thumbs up for the temperature and taste of everything on the table. The only disappointment throughout the entire experience occurred within the first 2 minutes of entering the restaurant. We had to change our number of guests on the wait list from 4 to 5 and the hostess (Jessica) seemed completely inconvenienced with this simple task. I informed her that we were more than alright with squeezing into a 4 top, I just had a very impatient grandma with me and wanted to ensure that we could be sat within an accurate time frame (we were initially told 15 minutes). She then extended the wait 20 more minutes even though there was a steady flow exiting the restaurant and only one name ahead of us. She lacked any form of the hospitable attitude required of a front of house employee (especially the first one that guests meet walking through the door) and more so she was just rude. I work in a high pace restaurant, and have dealt with people flooding the host stand and demanding priority, this was not the case and her blatant attitude was uncalled for and detracted from the overall team atmosphere and work ethic that everyone else, including the manager, adamantly displayed throughout the rest of our visit. Management and service was on point. Easily the best iHop location in STL. Don't let one grumpy mood spoil the rest of your contagiously happy employees. read more

Went in for lunch on a weekday. This location was very busy due to the flooding in the area. The server had a bubbly personality and although busy, the service was great. The food took a long time to get to the table. I was expecting mistakes but the food was hot and surprisingly good. The employees took a crisis and made themselves better. read more

Took my daughters there for lunch and everything was k at first our server brought us our drinks, no spoon for the coffee. Got another server, Kimmy, who seemed nice, took our order and we had asked for silverware and she said she would bring them out right after she put our order in. We waited ten minutes while she waited on another table and never came back so we had to ask another server. When she came back with our food she asked if there was anything else she could get us and I said silverware would be nice so we could eat our food. She FINALLY brought them out and we never saw her after that until she left the check. No refills on our drinks. NOTHING! Food was pretty good. Prices could be better spent almost $50 and that is just way to much. $3 for a soda. Come on. read more

I didn't expect much as I was going in for a quick bite, it started with being quickly redirected to a different table ( which was fine but I wondered why), waiting longer than usual until someone approached me to ask for drinks, I immediately gave her my whole order and the check because I had a feeling it might be the last time I see her. As the food arrived I had to fish for the utensils (mind you this is all still okay just abit annoying oh and btw they're NOT BUSY AT ALL) , the final straw was when it came time to pay. She told me the total I paid in cash plus %20, this is where I got extremely annoyed, she said nothing. No thankyou, no see you again or even would you like change back?. Unbelievable. I'm not a regular at YELP but that whole scenario prompted me to write something. The service and food were good. (Typical breakfast food). However, On September 9, 1:30 female supervisor was distracting. She loudly instructed and belittled the serving staff. I felt uncomfortable and quit frankly sorry for the servers. I feel that she had no idea how loud she was and how her actions were effecting others. read more

I love IHOP and this one is the closest to home... My problem is today I got the four crepes with strawberry and the cream.... First off they were not crepes they were the crepe mix made into a pancake and folded in quarters..... with a little strawberry and then a little drizzle of sauce .... and there were only three.... the crepes in picture were rolled with cream inside... what I got Totally not what it should have been... then my sweetie's pancakes were not fresh they were made prior and put in microwave because they were rubbery.... this trip will not deter me from going again .... but definitely will be watching more so. read more
