I am not the type of person that writes Yelps for chain restaurants because, in general, the links in a chain should be standard in their sameness. True, some links are positioned in the chain in such a way where they are given the opportunity to serve in a more purposeful way, while others are located in the chain in a place where their function never had the chance to shine, but in general links should perform at the same baseline. Thus, I write for chain restaurants when a link under or over performs from these baseline expectations. And this I-hop was a chain link that not only sustained a quality dining experience but hoisted the expectation. For example, in my many years of eating out, I do not think that I have seen an I-hop, or Denny's or similar restaurant sing a version of the happy birthday song to a patron. But, here, in this restaurant, a group of servers, rallied around the table and sang happy birthday to a patron, with modest joy. I cheer for them, for adding this simple yet important touch. I say this because I am a person who is big on birthdays. I mean every year marks a milestone of survival, in a world where decay of life happens, by dreadful intention, casual default, unexpected circumstance, and vending machines falling down a la final destination. Plus, at one point, all will cease to have their next birthday. So when a person is brave enough to announce I am celebrating my birthday, it should be met with off key singing. Additionally, for some people, I-hop might seem like a throw away choice for a birthday meal place. But for some people I-hop might be the "nice" restaurant for a birthday meal. And for the second group, this place delivered a little bit more of candle light quality. I know it might seem weird to fixate on a birthday song, but, I know there a lot of people out there who find true glee (pun intended) when they are sang to on the anniversary of their birth. Another thing that was stellar for this place was the service. This experience happened a few weeks ago, but I want to say that the server who was lovely at her job was named Angel, (she read female). I might be wrong, but I might be right. The person who I had lunch with, wanted an omelette. There was an option for an omelette and unlimited pancake combo, which was the better deal. in places like this, the the best deals are unlocked by the choices we make, which is also a good life philosophy, if you kind of think about it. Angel, informed us, that she would allow for a second stack of pancakes to be taken home. I loved her suggestion because it would be hard to eat the omelette and the pancakes and then a second stack. This type of consideration being offered by the server instead of being asked for by the customer, is next level courtesy, and thus it is grand that it came from a server named Angel. Then the pancakes came, and the to-go plate was more like a pod. I clipped the picture for evidence. The pancakes were strawberry and cream, and, the extra room on the lid allowed for the whip not to be smushed into a mess. One time I went to a meditation spot, and I was placed in a pod that made the experience better. One time I got an MRI and then made me feel entombed. The pancakes were in the pod not the tomb. I also think that this place just generally had a lighter and more clean fill that other I-hops. I am not sure why this place developed such an aesthetic and service-forward culture, but I for one hop a bit in salute to this chain in the link.

Located off Redondo Beach Blvd. in Gardena. Formerly Carrows in Pacific Square. Lots of parking shared with all the businesses in the square. This IHOP is opened 24hours as well. You can dine in or take out and curb side pick up is available as well. The place is fairly new so of course it looks nice and clean inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did do a take out order and order two of the 55 breakfast sampler. Overall a good location and spot and 24 hours.

This is what's left of a great meal!!

I went to Gardena IHOP for my Free Stack of Pancakes. Got there at 6:25pm I put my name on their list. I waited 15 min then ordered. It was quick and easy. We just wanted our free stack of pancakes. Me & my bf added sausage with our plate. The tables looked cleaned but it was sticky will syrup. I just put napkin on top of it. Other than that we were satisfied. Next time I will get the 2 big spicy sausage links (looks as big as 4 regular sausage links). They tastes better than the regular 4 small sausage links.

I ordered the breakfast sampler and I'm glad I did. The kitchen staff are amazing from our view. They fulfill orders right on schedule. Our server made sure we don't get bored from start to finish. Time well spent!

I was around Gardena and came to this IHOP, Amber took our order she was great very friendly I was going to get the fruit bowl however, Amber told me they serve the impossible burger that made my day since I'm a VEGAN It was great delicious with lettuce tomato & pickles. The service was excellent the tables were clean and the floors and provided high quality service. I highly recommend this IHOP.

Customer service was great. Fast and convenient. Food was very good and well served. I highly recommended to come during the week because it's less packed. Plenty of seats and ambiance very relaxing. Issac and Jessica our servers were so helpful and attentive to our service experience was great. Thank you very much for a wonderful great experience in dining at ihop.

This IHOP reopened recently, and hubs and I went to check it out. It is your standard ihop, but in the old location that local perennial favorite Carrow's was in. They made some good structural changes inside, so it seems larger and more spacious, but I would say the essence seemed the same. I tried something new (to me) from their menu - the lemon ricotta blueberry protein pancakes. What a (literal) mouthful to say! But to eat, they were outstanding! I really enjoyed the flavors, and that it had a decent amount of protein in the mix. They will be my go-to next time I return. Convenient, plentiful parking, and in same plaza with dim sim, Tokyo Central, and boba shops. Enjoy!

Lupe is the best server!! They were very busy, and she remained attentive, and that's really appreciated. They listened and resolved, also appreciated. We'd return again.

Front desk where we placed our order. Wish they would have checked to find what was supposed to be available online.

Due to our family Thanksgiving get together being delayed until Saturday, we had to look for a stopgap meal to carry us over for Thanksgiving. We had planned to order some open faced turkey sandwiches at Marie Callendar's the day before with a pumpkin pie but were turned away being told they were only taking care of preordered Thanksgiving meal sets and were closed for everything else. We didn't really want to wait in line at one of the hotel buffets or pay about $80-100 per person at one of the restaurants in the area open on Thanksgiving since we were getting together with family on Saturday so we were faced with a true conundrum. Would Thanksgiving day be a McRib meal? As we drove home, we saw that the Carrows that had closed was replaced by an IHOP. Surely they would have some type of turkey dinner to give us an appropriate alternative! Well...kinda. No open faced turkey meal (even though the website says they do) but they did have a Cali Roasted Turkey Melt that had stuffing and cranberry sauce inside. Not perfect but it would do. We ordered 3 of them on sourdough but when we arrived back home, we found they had put them on multigrain which didn't thrill me but beggars can't be choosy. At least we wouldn't be eating McRibs on Thanksgiving. Mission accomplished, sort of. Real Thanksgiving was coming later and it was wonderful even though it was late. The new IHOP is very nice and clean inside. The service was rather slow but it was the day before Thanksgiving and many people were off work so it was understandable. The girl at the front desk was pleasant but didn't seem like she knew their menu very well. As I stated before, the turkey dinner is on the website though it wasn't on the menu provided. Maybe it was a breakfast or lunch menu? Getting our order wrong was disappointing too. Oh well, it is what it is or was. The parking lot is always crowded at Pacific Square so that's a bit of a hassle. The restaurant is open 24 hours so that was nice to know in case we ever get home late from Vegas or another long trip and everything else is closed. We'll have to come back for breakfast and see how it compares to the location in Carson we used to eat at.

    55 2 x 2 x 2

There should be more breakfast meat options other than pork products. The "turkey bacon" is inferior and sausage/links need to be added to their menu. Services is great....

But if you're willing to walk a bit, you can usually find a spot towards the farther end of the parking lot. We ordered the food online, and it was ready for us when we arrived. I love a good fish taco, so we decided to try a few different ones. We got some Marco Mahi Tacos that come with cabbage, tomato, cilantro, and crema. You can choose flour or house made corn tortilla. We also got the George Fish Taco that has battered Alaskan cod. Both were good, but I enjoyed it more with the salsa on top. They have a Gabe Portobello Taco which I thought was interesting! It has a battered portobello inside, which I thought was unique. I would get it again! They have a lot of fun side items. We got some Tom Yum Sidewinder Fries that have a tasty tom yum salt added to them. The salt doesn't stick to the fries the best, but you can kind of dip them back in the salt at the bottom of the container for some more of that salty tart flavor! The Potato Rings look like onion rings. They're basically a tater tot in ring form. Fun to eat, but I wish they gave a few more in the order. We also got Crispy Battered Green Beans and Fried Zucchini. Both come with ranch sauce for dipping and were pretty solid! I'll be back to try their sandwiches and pastas!

Party on Western is a hole‑in‑the‑wall dive bar in the most affectionate way possible. The kind of spot where the lights are dim, the playlist is fire, and the walls have definitely seen some things they'll never speak of again. You walk in and immediately feel like you've joined a secret society of people who just want good music, strong drinks, and zero judgment. People will always judge...who are we fooling. lol!! The playlist? It was on point for the spot, it wasn't just good, it was spiritually aligned with my bloodstream. Every song slapped. Every beat felt like it was personally trying to fix my life choices. I swear one track looked me dead in the eyes and whispered, "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Let's talk about these drinks because they were flirting with me HARD. * Jack on the Rocks, a simple classic that's smooth, cold, and acting like it knew me from a past life. It slid across the bar like, "Hey stranger... miss me?" * Chilled Tequila Shot...Wow, this one didn't flirt. This one grabbed me by the soul and said, "We're making memories tonight." * Jack & Coke, it was sweet, bold, and absolutely lying to me. It told me I was the main character. It told me I was unstoppable. It told me I could dance. It was wrong... but I believed it. Ha ha ha! By drink three, I was ready to text people I shouldn't and tell the bartender my entire life story. Didn't happen though. Ha ha ha! Oh wait a minute...I almost forgot...I ordered some hot wings to set the tone, and let me tell you, they came in HOT like they were auditioning for a music video. Perfect bar wings: messy, spicy, and exactly what you need to convince your stomach that the tequila was a good idea. Typical bar food across the board, nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just the classics and messy at its best. But let's be real: the drinks are the main event. The food is just there to keep you from making catastrophic decisions. At one point I swear my Jack & Coke winked at me. The tequila shot told me I deserved happiness. The wings told me to stop being dramatic. And the playlist told me to live my truth. This bar didn't just serve me drinks, it emotionally supported me. For better or worse, get over it! "The energy you give is the energy you receive...always keep that in mind! Just be happy!" Miguel C.

The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's nostalgic, cozy, classy and proudly old‑school in the best possible way. Cause I'm an "old school" kind of person! Let's talk about the food (aka: The Reason They've Been Voted Best Steakhouse 13 Years Straight) Let's talk about the the star of the show, Diamond Jim Cut -- 19oz of prime rib glory. Medium, juicy, tender, and so perfectly seasoned it felt like the chef whispered affirmations to it before plating. This thing didn't just sit on the plate, it posed and winked at me. It had main‑character energy. Honestly, the steak looked at me like, "You sure you're ready for this?" Respectfully, I was not... but I still finished it like a champion. Everything else? Straight hits: * Prime Rib Special, classic, comforting, and exactly what a 1960s steakhouse should taste like. * Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, big enough to file taxes. So delicious! * Sautéed Mushrooms, wow...wow...wow, buttery, earthy, and the perfect sidekick to the prime rib. * New England Clam Chowder, so creamy, hearty, and not shy with the clams. Love it! * Shrimp Cocktail, very classy and retro, refreshing, and served like it's still 1969 (in a good way). Super delicious! The service here is chef's‑kiss classic. Truly excellent and the staff, very warm, attentive, and smooth, the kind where the staff checks in just enough to make you feel taken care of but never interrupts your prime‑rib spiritual experience. Plates come out hot, drinks land quickly, and everyone moves with that confident rhythm of a team that's been doing this for decades. Super big thanks for all that you do! This place has that retro steakhouse charm that feels like stepping into a vintage movie set. Dark wood, red leather, dim lights, and a vibe that says, "Order a martini and talk about business you don't actually have." It's cozy, nostalgic, and honestly refreshing in a world full of neon‑lit modern restaurants. At one point, the Diamond Jim Cut was so massive I considered calling for backup. I swear the prime rib looked at me like, "Buddy... this is a commitment." The jumbo shrimp were so big I almost asked them what gym they go to. And the clam chowder? Thick enough to patch drywall. San Franciscan is a South Bay legend for a reason, amazing 13 years of "Best Steakhouse" isn't luck. It's the food, the service, the old‑school charm, and the fact that they deliver exactly what a classic steakhouse should: big flavors, big portions, and a big nostalgic vibe that hits every time.
