I was sat on a table and waited 20 minutes and never got a server to get my order. 3 parties after got sat and placed their orders. It was not busy so I went to speak to cashier in front to complaint that no one had taken my order they shared my waitress would come and get my order. We waited 5 minutes still no waitress so we started to walk out. The employee I spoke too saw we were leaving and didn't apologize or try to convince us to stay. Horrible service read more

Food was good, came out pretty quick. Location has plenty of parking and plenty of tables. Service was good to start but when paying it got awkward when changing the tip amount. Waitress was bothered for trying to give a lower tip amount and not give the "suggested" amount. They tried covering up the custom button to only choose from 3 options and then got bothered for not putting a larger amount of tip and did not say thank you after paying. Don't feel obligated to tip what is on the screen, but change the amount or don't tip at all if you want. read more

Extremely long wait times for order pick up Natalie gave me wrong order and did not bother to make the correct order or tell me she was not going to make it. Seeing the way she does nothing but speak down to the people actually hustling is pretty disheartening. Climbing up on the kitchen equipment and touching food with her hands and messy hair all food violations to really not do much of anything at all. It was our first time going to this IHOP. Our server Janelle took the order. Everything seemed OK, but after bringing our meals, the orders were overcooked, and toast was burned. Our orders were brought separately and not together. The server Janelle had an attitude when I told her we were missing some food such as our toast, country potatoes, and eggs which were ordered soft posh but brought hard posh. When mentioned to her about our missing orders she kept saying "it's coming it's coming, I didn't even charge you for your order". So I just placed the order when we had told her like the third time. She took a long time bringing our sides. We had such a bad experience at this particular Ihop that I would not recommend it to others. Very disappointed how our orders were brought. read more

I haven't been to an IHOP in decades because more Denny's than IHOPs around but after my experience with the IHOP in Gardena, the quality of food quality of service the kindness of the staff all around better food I will bypass Denny's and search for IHOPs I hope that more open. IHOP is now my new favorite breakfast spot. Thanks to everyone at the Gardena location. Especially the graveyard shift. read more

What happened! I tried them twice and it was awful! Over cooked, dried out omelet, dry tasteless pancakes! This is the newest one in Gardena on Redondo Beach. The original one that used to be across from El Camino was great, but this one just sucks! I rather go to McDonalds for breakfast. I wish Coco's and Carrows was still here. Never disappointed with either. IHOP needs to Hop out of this area. They will not be missed. read more

Took my grandma for breakfast, was pretty busy, had a wait, but Camila was very helpful! There was about a 15-20 minute wait and she was trying her best to help clear tables and get everyone seated. Service was good . Food was good . But for some reason when we paid we asked for a to go box and never got one . In the mist of waiting I went to get change for the 20 that was given to me for 5's the lady with drinks in her hand says yes one second. The manager then looks at me and says oh no , no change . When this location first opened, we forgave the mistakes with our food (stale pancakes and dry overcooked chicken) assuming they hired a young chef who didn't know much about cooking yet. It's been open for a while now and there are pros and cons. Pros: The servers are pretty friendly and the hot chocolate is delicious. Cons: Their chicken fried steak was so hard and dry it made me feel icky just watching my dad attempt to eat it. We ordered our plates, he asked for 3 eggs and I asked for fruit instead of hashbrowns. When our food came, we had to ask them, again, for the extra egg he ordered and they brought me out hashbrowns instead of fruit. I don't like hashbrowns so I order fruit instead because I like fruit and don't like wasting food unnecessarily. The servers were nice about it even though it took a while for them to bring us the extra egg and fruit, but you would think something as simple as that would have been communicated easily via the kitchen staff. Another big con for me is it's so incredibly loud whenever we come in that I have to raise my voice just for the person directly next to me to hear what I'm saying which gets really frustrating really fast. My biggest priority when I come in here is to just eat and get out as quickly as possible. Overall, I can't say I recommend this location, but maybe another one would work out better. read more

On Mother's Day my family of 14 went to IHOP for breakfast and we were lucky to get Janelle as our waitress. She handled us and our multiple checks with a smile. She never, not one time, showed a sign of being overwhelmed with all of us. Sat down quick. Sat at counter. 10 minutes to even ask if we wanted drinks. Staff seems overwhelmed. At least 15 plates sitting on counter ready to be served. Service was extremely slow for only having 6 tables with guests. We asked for water refills (multiple times), it never came. Our food was room temperature at best. We finally went to the new Ihop this morning. My husband and I were extremely disappointed in both the food and the service. We ordered breakfast and ice water. My hubby ordered an extra egg with his Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. When it arrived, he only had two eggs, there was barely any gravy on the steak and his sourdough toast was dry with no butter. My order had dry toast as well. That would have been fine, had she brought butter on the side, but that wasn't the case. We had to ask for butter and the extra egg to be provided, she argued he didn't order the extra egg, instead of apologizing (for the mistake, whomever made it) and getting it quickly. You never argue with the customer. Just make it happen quickly and then move on. By the time the egg got there the husband was half done with his meal and the egg was runny. For what they charge for bread, eggs and potatoes, I expect better. It is a shame the Carrows that once was at that location closed, it was far better. read more

I was very hesitant on visiting IHOP today since the lines were out the door. It seems many graduation celebrations were happening today but our server Christian was able to provide exceptional service despite the long waits. I was able to order the sampler breakfast with the tres leches pancakes and everything was served nice and hot. Christian ensured to check on our table providing us with refills and checking on us constantly ensuring our visit was exceptional. Decided to take my mother and baby nephew to breakfast and remember they open this restaurant near her home. We got there and there was a party of 3 people ahead of us. The manager greeted us and ask for my name to put on the waiting list, said it would be about 10/15 min await, great we sat down. Saw a couple walk in and also out their name in the list and sat next to us. Now here comes the fun part. As I'm sitting there I see two people walk in and get seated at a small table (manager sat them down). I thought, maybe they don't care for a booth. Okay. But then here comes two other families and he asks them how many people are in their group and one of them replies with 3. I see the guy grab the some menus and walk them to a booth. I right away got up and went to ask why were people who walked in being sited before us. His reply was because it was two people, I pointed out to him that there was a couple what about them. He goes to say I was getting sited right now. We walked over my table, server asked for our drinks. Told him coffee, kids chocolate milk and a lemonade. Server comes gives the drinks but my nephews chocolate milk cup was filled half way. I asked to have the cup fill all the way. We didn't even get creamers, luckily I drink black coffee but what if I didn't. We order our food and my god, PORTIONS ARE KIDS SIZE. come on guys! You can do better with the portions. Quick , fast and great service! Have to meet a friend for a quick meal before her flight and we saw an IHOP. We were seated in a flash and food was served within minutes and were out in good 20 minutes - Full and satisfied with floppy pancakes and great meal! IhOP had been our family favorite but I quit coming since my father passed away as it always reminded me of him.
