Decided to pop in for breakfast around 2pm on a Tuesday. Waited for almost 10 minutes to be seated. The chef came out and saw me and go the server. It's completely dead but to be expected to the time of day. Ordered my food and my server barely speaks English. So I order my food and my French toast comes with a pile of butter just melted and makes the French toast soggy and my eggs soaked in butter. Like if I wanted to die of a heart attack this is it. After receiving my food I wanted something else. Well I never got it because 30 minutes later my server was still no where to be found and I finished eating and got my receipt. I've working in food for a long time. Check on your tables!!! What if I ran out of a drink? No more ketchup? Also missed out that the table hadn't been cleaned. While the pancakes tasted fine they were cold upon arrival and the butter on top was frozen so was difficult to get It to melt on the pancake. Came during the period for all you can eat pancakes and order a pancake combo. Was not asked if I wanted to all you can eat if it had to be entered into the computer differently. This is the IHOP that I have been forced to go to until the one in Centre Park Drive opened. There is nothing good about this place. The first thing you notice is that about 75% of the time you walk in the store, no one is at the reception area ready to seat you or give you the food you ordered online. My average wait time is about 7 minutes before anyone notices I walked in the door. Secondly, my orders have always been messed up, usually having a wrong item In the bag, or the drink has been forgotten, I mean, with the receipt attached to the bag you would think that's an easy task. Half the time, the food is burnt, and recently, their packaging of foods to go is suspect. They put a bag of cold fruit, inside the same container and DIRECTLY next to the hot melt sandwich. I was greeted right away and told it would be a 5 min wait. No problem, 9:30 on a Saturday morning I expect it to be busy. About 5 min later I get seated. Another five min goes by, then another. 10 min at a table and no one acknowledged me. Wait staff running all over the place in this crowded, busy restaurant...yet no one can even look at me much less tell me they will be with me soon for my order? Seriously??? How hard is that? And when I left and told the hostess she could seat someone else at my table because 10 min was too long to wait to even be greeted by my server, she just looked blankly at me. I went into this restaurant mid afternoon and was greeted and sat right away. Only 2 other customers Asked what I wanted to drink and told the waitress for coffee. I ordered the t- bone steak medium well and eggs over medium. Steak came out in about 5 minutes over cooked like they had one in back already cooked and eggs runny. The plastic fork they gave me broke in the steak and the pancakes were mush. Cook should be fired. No one came to ask me if my meal was ok so I walked out without eating. I had Johnny who is a terrific waiter which is why I'm giving 4 stars and considering my friend's burger and fries were well done. I ordered the florentine tilapia with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The tilapia was unseasoned and dry and the mashed potatoes was thick, dry and hard. The broccoli and spinach was perfect but usually with IHOP it's a hit or miss depending on who is in the back kitchen cooking the food. I know I could have requested to send the food back but I chose not to bother anyone but I'm glad I enjoyed my time and had a wonderful waiter just be careful what you order here sometimes (you can't go wrong with breakfast). My friend had a burger with fries and extra fries which were pretty good! Once again Johnny is amazing if you go to IHOP be sure to see him his energy itself will make your worst day the best day!! read more

Its IHOP people... so do not expect 5 star anything.. but for an IHOP its not bad. Well lit with comfy booths. The food wasn't bad when we went and it came out pretty quickly. My only issue was the service, it took a while for the server to come over to us, espically since we later found out that the host sat us in a closed section. But again food decent, service ok and it should start being open 24/7 which is great for those late night cravings for breakfast food. So hop don't walk to the IHOP in Jessup. read more

#1 Not sure why there are two listing for the same restaurant on Yelp. Figure it out and combine it. Called in a order for a coworker to pick up for breakfast and lunch. Stated omelette with a side of fruit. Tilapia no mash potatoes add broccoli (which he said he could not do but would do ....so why say anything, just do it). Had to repeat the order several times because the person could not hear over the noise in the restaurant background. When you take a phone order you should be ready to take the order. Received the order and was told it would be ready in 10mins. Advised my coworker to check the order before leaving. Takes 15 mins to get to there, the food was not ready. The person who took the order (I am guessing the manager) asked for payment. Asked to verify the food, he seemed puzzled. Long and short the order was incorrect it came with pancakes and not fruit as asked. Whenever there is a issue placing an order over the phone it usually does not come out as requested. Not sure if he is not used to taking phone orders if it is a customer service issue. Sounds like it is both. Not surprised by this it is IHOP and I think they could care less. Next time will go with the original plan to go to Bob Evans or even Cracker Barrel. Thought this would be better because it was closer. read more

First of all, we're IHOP fans. We love breakfast/brunch at IHOP. To be fair I'll start with the pros... PROS: 1.) The restroom (female) was impeccably clean and well stocked. 2.) There was no wait time; therefore we were seated immediately. (You'll see why the dining room was empty in a bit.) CONS: 1.) Our food (table of 4 adults) took more than 1/2 an hour to arrive. When it arrived my meal was incomplete. 2.) I ordered fish and chips with a caesar side salad . My plate arrived with 3 pieces of fish and not even enough soggy fries to cover the bottom of my plate. There were no wedges of lemon nor tarter sauce. My salad didn't arrive either. 3.) When I mentioned the missing lemon and tarter sauce to the server (Ezinne 151) she actually snapped at me! She told me that the missing items would be coming soon. 4.) I received the lemon less than 5 minuets later, and the tarter sauce about 4 minuets after the lemons. 5.) She brought me a garden salad with Caesar dressing. As she put the plate in front of me she insisted that this was a Caesar salad. With a confused look on my face I agreed to take the salad just because I was afraid that she would just snap at me again and who knows what would happen if I had the nerve to exchange food. 6.) My food was cold by the time I got everything. 7.) My father's country fried steak only had a small dollop of gravy on top of a cold slab of meat. The mashed potato's were so dry and unfortunately there wasn't enough gravy to make them eatable. 8.) My husband ordered the Spicy Ranch Chicken Sandwich. There was no ranch at all. The chicken was like hard rubber. My husband didn't eat at all. He sent back the food and didn't want to risk retaliation by ordering something else. If you haven't figured it out yet, I DON'T recommend this IHOP at all. read more

Upon being seated, I had to wipe crumbs and food off the bench from the previous guests. The hostess didn't think to apologize or offer to clean them after seeing what I did. Though the waitress was nice, her lack of the menu was apparent. When starting to order, we were told their were items unavailable for the evening. It would of helped to know that in the beginning. It was only 5% filled in the restaurant when myself, wife, and son were seated. It took over 35mins to get our food. I ordered the stuffed French toast. The picture showed two well sized pieces. When the food was brought, I was given one. When asked why didn't I receive two, the waitress said she tried telling the cook it's two, but he said it's only one. Really, you think I'm paying $8.99 for 1 stuffed French toast? There better be gold flakes on top. This is the 3rd time coming here, and the 3rd issue we had. About one mile down the road is Bob Evans, a major competitor with much better service. Middle of the day on a Wednesday and a less than half full restaurant and we finally left after ten minutes of not even a waitress acknowledging us. 4.5 stars. It's brand spanking new so it's uber clean. Service was awesome. Food was even ok. I mean nothing gourmet but it was edible & the fruit was actually pleasant. In my experience, IHOP can serve really scary food so finding pretty good options here was mind blowing. Super crowded on weekends but they have a ton of staff so they quickly get folks in & out. I went to the new IHOP in Jessup, MD and quite honestly I thought I was in the twilight zone! Just remember this restaurant has only been open for a month or two. When I got there only four or five people were eating in the restaurant, that included a family. There wasn't anyone around to welcome the guest. After a while a young man came in the front door and gave me a menu that I requested and walked away. The chef/cook came out of the kitchen answered my questions about the menu and convinced me to order a steak omelette. I was seated by the chef.A waitress brought me some water then told me she wasn't my waitress. Another lady (Hostess?) came by and asked if I had ordered. I told her the chef took my order but he didn't write it down. She didn't write it down either. The chef cooked the order, delivered it to my table and later gave me the check? The steak omelette was more like a hash brown omelette! it was 85 percent hash browns! I've never seen an omelette like this. There were a few pieces of mushrooms and tomatoes on the outside of the omlette. it didn't taste bad after I removed the hash browns. :-) The waiter complained that the chef gave me the check. He took my check and gave me another one? the total for a hash brown omelette with french toast instead of pancakes cost me $14. I gave the chef a $3 and the waiter a $2 tip. $19 for what? I talked to the manager, he appeared to understand that there were some problems but I didn't get the impression that he cared. :-) I won't be going back to this IHOP. We got coffee right away then waited 15 minutes for coffee refills and water that never came. 30 minutes for the food to arrive and no silverware. Five more minutes waiting on silverware while our food got cold. We got up and left the restaurant. The manager wanted to make things right which is expected, but the only 'right' thing would be to fire the staff. Not gonna happen. read more

We were waiting outside at opening time with no one in sight to open the door. I was even looking through the window hoping to flag some one down and was just about to call the restaurant to open their doors, LOL! Thankfully, we didn't have to wait too long but still if the hours are at 6 am then open the door by 6 am! The food is as expected IHOP should be. I personally like to order the Grain and Nut pancakes which has oats, almonds and walnuts. It is so good with butter pecan syrup. The Smoke House combo's smoked sausage is very good too. Jasmine is a gem among ihop managers. I have been to my fair share of IHOP's and because of my work schedule typically I order to-go. My favorite meal is a "special order" and so I have to call it in. Typically IHOP's put me on hold and are rude about my online order but not Jasmine! She was quick to take my order and extremely kind. She was totally understanding about my "special order" and was so sweet! While I was waiting for my food (no more than 3 minutes) .. 2 little boys ran in and hugged her saying "Mommy". They were coming to have dinner with their mom, while she worked hard keep customers happy! Jasmine, you are amazing. We went to this IHOP late night the other day and it was a pretty rotten experience. We were seated immediately, and the restaurant wasn't busy. It still took almost 15 minutes for our server to come take our order, and then another 10 minutes after that to get our drinks. When our drinks came out, our server didn't give us enough straws, and when we asked for more, he gave us an attitude about it. Our food took another 30 minutes, and my sister's pancakes had a hair cooked into them. And since it was taking forever for our server to come back to the table with refills, she just sent it back and had them take it off the check. The rest of us had decent food, even though it took forever to get to us and wasn't hot. There was zero sense of urgency with our server until it came time for us to leave. I ordered a bacon temptation omelet, sausages and some harvest grain and nut pancakes from the IHOP in Jessup through DoorDash. Everything was good accept the pancakes. I took one bite of the pancakes and they tasted like they were prepped in a bowl of vinegar. I called them to complain about it twice. Both times I talked to two different managers that said they were refunding me for my order. That was almost 3 weeks ago and I still haven't seen a refund.
