I've been coming here for years with never any problems worth mentioning before. Tonight, however, was a totally different situation. our party of 4 arrived at 5 p.m. they were not, yet busy.. the service was terrible. no refills for beverages offered or provided. toast was dry , no butter or condiments of any type were provided. we had to go find some on other tables. On my order alone I ordered toast (received none despite requesting twice), no avocado (also asked twice). our coffee became cold while waiting on the creamer, which the server was asked for (again) twice. I understand that we are post covid, but this was completely unacceptable. When my husband discussed this with our server, he simply shrugged his shoulders and said, "well, we are short staffed.". When I was young IHOP was the breakfast place to eat. I'm told their pancakes are still very good. I wish their other food was. There's two or three places where I order a BLT and add a fried egg. The best is The Flying Biscuit. IHOP is way worse. They have no idea how to cook bacon unfortunately. It's undercooked and limp. The tomato wasn't ripe and the sandwich wasn't even slightly warm. My wife likes their waffles but tonight they left the chocolate off her Belgium waffle. Instead of redoing the plate they brought her a small bowl of cold chocolate. Went to Ihop Knightdale NC and waitress was rude, we had a few guests joining us and she loudly was asking other employees who wants our table due to people joining right in front of us, then after ranting about it came back and told us she had an appointment to be at, then later stood around, food was decent and came in an orderly fashion. I really enjoyed my meal at this IHOP location. They were a bit optimistic in our wait time and slow to take our orders, which made us nervous because we were on a schedule and needed to get in and out. But the food was delicious and we asked for the check and received it right away. We've been to the location before and both times my bacon could have been crispier, it was a little soggy. But for all the locations in the general area, this one has the best food and service and it's our IHOP of choice. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!! read more

She does a great job keeping drinks full and ensuring food is on the table in a jiffy. omlettes choices are great, I actually like the coffee, and staff works well supporting each other. We all like deals and what better deal than having a FREE breakfast for your birthday. I accompanied a friend who was extremely excited to partake in this offer. I enjoy the variety of breakfast items at IHOP, however the service is extremely lacking. Once the server found out that it was my friends birthday, she assumed that we were not going to ordering anything else and did not bother to ask me if I wanted to eat. She slid two, luke warm waters on the table and tossed two straws in our direction. The breakfast came and it was cold; my friend lost her appetite and we got up and told the manager on duty. This IHOP is brunch location for my family to meet up east of 64. Saturday and Sunday is probably their busy days since there's not a lot of options for brunch in Knightdale that I know of.. As far as the food, I always go for the waffle with fruit or a salad. Service is always good and the wait is not too long. My only complaint is they they serve better tasting coffee and the waffles should arrive at the table hot enough for that cold pat of butter to melt. read more

I have loved IHOP in general for decades and still do ... BUT not this one location. Used to think it was me or one of us was just having a bad day but no more. I ate there yesterday for the third timr and again ... 1. The wait staff was disinterested and tepid in their performance to the point of bringing the check without asking if we cared for anything else. We were not greeted nor bid farewell. We were not thanked nor asked if our meal was satisfactory; it was and wasn't. 2. My pancakes were burnt and leathery. 3. There were numerous flies in the dining room. Several more aggressive flies stayed too fond and too close to me by hovering nearby and landing on my food. An earlier review noted ants in the dining room. My conclusion? The building is buggy. 4. The worn out booth we were herded to was out of level, rickety, lumpy and uncomfortable. This sorry excuse for an ihop can't even get skid-row diner right! By the way, my spinach and mushroom omelet was perfect and delicious. However, I will never eat at this particular location ever again. I recommend you never try to either. read more

Great place to go for a quick breakfast providing to get Mark waiter who is on it from the time you said it is table to the time you get your food. Never leaves a mess behind during the course of the meal always cleaning up your table so there isn't a bunch of Miss left behind. There is another lady that works there as well it is pretty good but I need to go to the mark but the rest are not as quick or cleanly as Mark who knows his stuff. Went here for Friday brunch. We had about a 15 wait which wasn't bad because when we pulled up the parking a lot was full so we just knew we were going to be waiting forever considering it was black Friday. Our waitress was very attentive got our order quickly, kept our drinks filled, and checked on us often but not overly too much. The food came out hot and was cooked as we requested. I love going to IHOP because it's quick and great for an on the run meal that won't break the bank, but I have yet to find an IHOP in Raleigh/Raleigh that fits. Either the food is always wrong or the service is terrible! In this case I would have to say this was the worse customer service experience. I completely understand not wanting to take tables when it's time for you to get off, but please servers take it out on your manager and NOT the customer. My server was unpleasant, unfriendly, and frankly made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I did finally get a new server who was at least pleasant but I am will say that I am glad so am in the process of giving up dairy. This will be my last visit to IHOP Raleigh/Knightdale. My men's group from church meets here once a month. The food is fine and is typical for IHOP. This is a very new location, so it still looks good. I dropped a star because the service, while it has been efficient, has been rather dour every time I've been there. I know it can be a little daunting for one waitress to handle a table of ten to twenty guys, but we are not a demanding group, and a smile once in a while would be nice :-) read more

We ordered dinner from the Knightdale IHOP. The turkey dinner arrived with the mashed potatoes carton upside down dumped on top of the meal with no lid on it!! I called and spoke to the manager who listened to my complaint but was not willing to have another dinner delivered or make any amends except to file a complaint with Door Dash. I ordered the chicken dinner which arrived minus the side salad I chose. Also the chicken was tough like it had been frozen and not thawed out enough. I microwaved it for about a minute which made it more tender but it had no taste and I couldn't eat but a few bites. I've also dined in before and they were way understaffed, it took a long time to get our food, and even longer to get the bill. This IHOP used to be a great place but it has gone way down. If the manager doesn't get this place under control I think they will go out of business sometime soon. I do not recommend eating in or ordering out of this restaurant! read more

I've never had a bad experience at this IHOP. Went for breakfast today (Memorial Day) and it was very busy. We received a friendly greeting and were seated quickly. Tina, one of the servers, stopped by to tell us our server's name and that she would get us drinks. She brought the drink and then took our order. She ended up serving us and it was truly outstanding service. The order was correct and the food was hot and fresh. If you want to wait hours for pancakes that have been cooked by chefs that don't wear masks and handled by a manager's bare hands, most likely served by waiters that wear masks below their nose or on their chins, this is the place for you. In the past, we had witnessed a waitress here remove her mask to sneeze, which would defeat the purpose of mask wearing. Nonetheless, we returned this Sunday morning for brunch. My family was seated beside the door to the kitchen. We watched as several staff members, including the manager, took their masks off to speak while standing over the food on the prep table and leaning towards the plates under the heat lamps. Already horrified, we watched the manager pick up a pancake with his bare hands to add butter between the layers and then put it back on a plate to be served. We called our waitress, who was working so hard to see to her tables, and confirmed that it was indeed the manager who touched the food. We asked to pay for our juice and the waitress told us that a second manager comped it. We will never return to this iHop. read more
