Chicken & Waffles, French Toast, and Pancakes
    Kai J.

Polarizing location in a strip mall next to a barbershop-- locations like these are normally either elite or trash. This place though, was the former. Elite breakfast spot. Pancakes were flavorful with a nice texture. French toast was rich in taste. The waffle was solid, a bit too crispy, but tasted good. The hash browns didn't have great presentation but were sufficient. The chicken tenders were the star of the show, complimented by a barbecue sauce with the right blend of tang and smokiness. Water tasted top shelf as well. Service staff were attentive and quite hospitable. Nice little gem breakfast spot in Raleigh!

Only thing u can say that was good about this place is the service. I ordered the Corned beef hash and I was expecting it to better. But I absolutely could not stomach it. It looked like vomit and I did not like the taste. I took it home and fed it to my dog. I also ordered the Sausage gravy and it was also a disappointment...not flavorful at all. Store bought gravy tastes better than theirs. My daughter however did enjoy her pancakes. I took a bite and can confirm the Pancakes are good. My husband ordered an omelet. He did enjoy it....aside from the pieces of Kraft cheese on top.

We come here at least once a month, they are busy right before church and after. I had the corn beef hash again, but it wasn't fried as hard this time and I will ask for it to be fried harder next time. My friend loves their ham and always gets it. The eggs are always cooked to perfection.

This spot is in an unassuming strip mall. The have online ordering and delivery through Grub Hub This small cafe has a classic American diner menu - burgers, sandwiches, wraps and breakfast. They also have a few vegetarian options and southern classics like liver & onions. It seems like they have popular lunch specials with entree, side & drink for 9.99 The veggie burger & fries I got was really delicious! I was pleasantly surprised. It had great flavor and wasn't dry The staff were friendly and helpful The cafe has indoor seating only with booths and tables. Many of the patrons during the lunch hour were seniors - it seems to be popular with that age group

    Vegetarian omelet, grits and biscuit

I have been driving by this place for YEARS but finally went in for breakfast today. Seated quickly. Ordered the vegetarian omelet with grits and biscuit. Omelet was stuffed with veggies, had two slices of cheese melted on top and a queso like cheese in the middle. Grits were perfect consistency. Drinks are included with the breakfast combos! I ordered a Diet Coke because I am not a coffee drinker and it was included. Great service. Will be back!

The food is amazing as well as the service, it's normally packed but the most we've waited is about 20 minutes.

This time I went with a custom BYO - Bacon & Egg White Biscuit, extra bacon and added a side of grape jelly for balance. I enjoy the open kitchen vibe that really gives it the bakery ambience. I recommend placing your order online in advance for pickup. This morning, I walked in and saw not one familiar face there, and I've come to learn all the staff walked out simultaneously weeks ago. After getting to know many of the staff over the years of frequenting there, anything to make every staff member walk out at the same time has to be big enough to leave a sour taste in your mouth. Am truly sad to see such a Raleigh staple not see the value in the community their staff created. Cheers to Joe, Brennan, Brett, amber, and all of the others past a present (shout out Tim and Casey and Jackie!) for their place in our lives over all of these years! If you are looking for a coffee nearby, jubala (pendo), black & white (videri), heirloom are all great options (and sir Walter coffee and 42 & Lawrence are decent and close)

The place was crowded but there was no wait. I got seated immediately at a table near a column in the middle of the restaurant and Christy came over and asked if I wanted anything to drink. She brought me iced water and gave me time to look at the menu. I wanted to try so many things and I was too optimistic about ordering 3 things and finishing them myself. Good thing I only ordered 2 things! An order of fried catfish with home fries and one egg. And a biscuit with sausage gravy. The fried catfish was salted and well fried. It tasted delicious for my first bite! The home fries were basically cut potatoes, but they weren't very fried or flavored. I wished I ordered the side of apple sauce instead. The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things. Also, I wished I had asked for sausage gravy on the side so I can try the biscuit on its own first as well. Furthermore, I would have more time to eat the catfish so I wasn't worried about the biscuit getting soggy. Christy came to check up on me every now and then. The place was buzzing with people and decorations so I didn't feel so alone. When it was time to pay, Christy brought me the check for me to pay at the cash register. Both Christy and the cashier were so friendly! The restaurant does have a women's and a mens restroom if needed.
