This may be the worst IHOP I've ever been to. We waited five minutes for someone to come and seat us, and that was only after I looked around the corner to find someone because he was sitting around talking to a couple sitting down eating. The staff paid no attention after we got our food. Bacon and sausage tastes like it was cooked earlier in the day and it's been sitting around in grease. The eggs were horrible like a rubber brick. There were also tons of flies in the restaurant. Won't be coming back here at all. IHOP has fallen off.i wish I could give it half a star. read more

I've been to this IHOP at least 30 times since I moved here m. usually it is spot on. About a month ago however, there heat was not working. My client and I were eating breakfast and it was very difficult because my pancake got cold as did the syrup. My waitress was hard to find. She also had had a rough time saying the heat had been out for several days. They did have heaters sitting around, but it still was very chilly, other than that one time I've had good experiences. The food is usually very good and the service. I give it eight out of 10. It really depends on the waitress or waiter that you receive. All in all it is worth the trip. read more

It seems like everyone is confused at this particular location in La Plata Maryland. Whenever I place the order I receive someone that has zero customer service and zero understanding of the menu which is extremely frustrating. I want to place an order to font to find that my order was not completed once I arrived however when I called to complain to the manager he mentioned my order was prepared and ready on the back table whatever that means. Was craving some pancakes so I rounded up the kids and headed out to this IHOP location. This was my first time here and wanted to try them out as I always normally frequent the Waldorf and Clinton locations. Upon entering I noticed that the waiting area is rather small and with an infant in a car seat and a 5yo, it was kind of a tight squeeze. The host quoted a 10-15 min wait which I thought was great for a Sunday morning around 1130am. The wait was as promised and as soon as we were seated we immediately ordered. Our waitress Theresa was fantastic and very attentive. I ordered the Split Decision which comes with BOTH pancakes and French toast as well as eggs scrambled with cheese and both turkey sausage and bacon. The pancakes were as per the usual the bomb.com but the french toast was just ok nothing spectacular as well as the eggs which had a funny taste to them (couldn't quite figure out what it was but there was something extra going on with the flavoring). The turkey bacon and sausage was good as well. My son ordered the Silver 5 and left absolutely nothing on his plate with no complaints. Oh and the wait for our food was literally about 8-10 min if that which is the reason for the 4th star seeing as though there was a party of 14 that was seated when we sat down in addition to just about every table being occupied. Overall, we will definitely be back for more pancakes and great service, no eggs or French toast though! read more
