    iHop in Lebec, CA

We stopped at this IHOP in Lebec on our way to Yosemite with a group of eight because a few people were hungry and we wanted something quick and familiar. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. I tried to order "pigs in a blanket," which is a simple item I've ordered at other IHOP locations without any issue -- just sausage links wrapped in pancakes. Even after showing the waitress a photo, she had no idea what it was. She asked the cook, who also didn't know. Then they asked the manager -- still no solution. I understand menus can vary by location, but this was a very basic request using ingredients they already had. The confusion and unwillingness to accommodate something so simple was surprising. To make matters worse, someone in our group later realized she was charged $30 for what should have been a $13 meal, plus she left a $5 tip. That kind of billing error is concerning. We were told this location operates differently because it's attached to a gas station/truck stop and that not all IHOPs are the same -- but that doesn't explain the lack of menu knowledge or the overcharge. Overall, the experience left our entire group disappointed, and unfortunately, none of us plan to return.

We decided to take a girls trip for a Sunday morning brunch and we were quite surprised to see it not crowded at all! Once we were sat and looked over the extensive menu we finally picked what we wanted. I hadn't been to an IHOP in quite a few years, so the menu was very different from what I remember. It has a closer resemblance to a Denny's menu now minus the skillets. Bridgette, our server was friendly, patient and helpful in getting everything we needed! She even made a cool drink for my daughter that was half decaf and half hot cocoa! She loved that! I was really pleasantly surprised by the Bacon Jam Eggs Benedict, the muffin was fresh, and the eggs cooked perfectly!! Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast, so I always want to try it if it's on the menu. The cinnamon apple pecan pancakes I thought might be overly sweet but once I tried them they were a perfect treat and not too sickly sweet for breakfast! We will be back again because I had a hard time choosing so I've got my eye on some other dishes too!!

New IHOP in the Tejon Ranch Outlets that opened around November of 2022., almost directed across from The TESLA Super Chargers. Great spot to stop when charging to rival the Denny's down the road. I love that you can order the "Split Decision" breakfast because I can never decide what I want, so I chose a bit of everything. The service was great, which can sometimes be hit or miss at these chains, and the total came out to just around $20 after tax. Not too shabby, IHOP!

    My favorite thing, Cinnamon Dippers

The nicest people work here! So sweet, didn't feel rushed or felt like your wasting their time when you order, like other IHOPs. Food was good, i lile that they elevated their me u a bit, still had the good staples.... One chain restaurant tjat I will cont to come to, at this spot.

Right in the middle of a major rush, their entire system went down, and instead of things falling apart, John stepped up and led with professionalism, calmness, and efficiency that honestly exceeded expectations. Despite the outage and unsympathetic patrons orders kept moving, food came out quickly, and the team remained polite, organized, and attentive throughout the entire experience. John handled customers with patience and genuine courtesy while simultaneously coordinating the team and keeping operations running smoothly under pressure. What stood out most was the attitude. No excuses, no frustration directed at customers, just outstanding leadership and work ethic during a difficult situation. The level of service they provided would have been impressive even under ideal conditions. At 11:30 at night under a system failure during a rush, it was extraordinary. John demonstrated leadership qualities well beyond his position and operated at a level fit for management either at Wendy's or any business that requires grace under pressure. Wendy's is lucky to have employees like him. Also the place was exceptionally clean.

Given the Tesla EV chargers recently installed across the street I believe this location will grow in popularity. And the workers here deserve praise for how much effort and professionalism they showed during a busy weekend. There was a lot of hustle from the crew but they did their jobs with aplomb and everybody got their food in a reasonable amount of time. Once the line had died down there was worker moving around the dining room keeping it clean. Food came out fresh and was exactly what we needed on a cold night. Thank you, Wendy's crew!

I read that the food is all made fresh and expect it to take 1-2hrs to prepare. We ordered the yellow Thai curry with tofu - the tikka masala with cheese, garlic naan and the last one was Malaysian Laksa. The meal was full of flavor. Like others mentioned I have to highlight the coconut in the curry. A real treat for my tastebuds. Everything was superb. The Laksa was bursting with flavors as well. So good. It's one of those meals where you are trying to identify each herb and spice used. And just want to take your time with each bite to thoroughly enjoy. Very complex flavors and so delicious. The portions are very good and we are looking forward to enjoying the 2nd half for dinner again this evening. It really was a treat and we will be back when we are in the area again. You must try to understand! Kind of surprising to find such a culinary treat in such a small mountain area. Frazier is lucky to have this little gem!
