This was a stop on a road trip to the Bay Area. It was about 7p and we needed to get food and also use the restrooms. This was not my choice to have but my Husband made the call to get food here. I was craving Costco Food Court but there wasn't one for miles, so we gassed up, and then drove a minute to this location. We ordered 3 entrees and 3 waters. We used the restrooms, which were clean, and then got back on the road. Food was pretty good. They had 2 older Hispanic women cooking in the back and I am a firm believer that they put their special touch into the preparation of our food because I don't remember Baja Fresh being good before. Coming back to L.A. from an Oregon road trip I decided to stop at Baja Fresh-El Tejon Outlets for lunch. Can't remember the last time I ate Baja Fresh. Must've been over 10+ years ago. Don't really have a BF near me. Rating the staff working on this particular Sunday I will most definitely give them a 5 star or 5 out of 5. Erika F. was super friendly and bubbly and so was the rest of the girls working this day. Management really knows how to pick employees with the right attitude. Now as for the food. I would've like the steak in my burrito to have had a char taste to it. The Mexican Street Corn was pretty tasty. Salsa's were decent. My over all rating on the food is going to be a 4 star. Walked in here right at open and was greeted warmly by Maria. I felt bad for popping in as they were getting ready but she was super chill and welcoming. She helped us order and gave recommendations along the way which were all fantastic. We ate our bowls in their dining room and took some tacos and a container of the street corn, to go, for our daughter. Hearty portions, fresh veggies, and well seasoned meat. You get what you pay for here and let's say it isn't dirt cheap but the bowls were packed (heavy too). There's no much to eat around here but my family decided on this place. I had the chicken bowl with guacamole. It sadly was nothing to write home about. The portion size was huge but the flavors were practically non-existent. My family was in agreement that this was really just something to put in our stomachs but it wasnt enjoyable food. The staff were friendly, very welcoming. We stopped to get a bite to eat before getting on the road again. My husband ordered a chicken bowl with added guacamole, I ordered the steak chimichanga with sauce on the side. My husband enjoyed his meal, I however was only able yo eat the rice and beans from my meal as the chimichanga was filled with oil when you lifted it up (see picture). The gentleman at the register noticed and offered to make me another dish but I declined as I was a bit disgusted by the grease. I appreciate the effort to make things right. read more

Was there on the APR. 26th, customer service was excellent but I wish I remembered the two young ladies names. Food came exactly as ordered and they both had great attitudes. Restaurant was clean, including bathroom and it was overall a great stop. Being on the road all day, its nice having great food and pleasant faces when you take a break. I'll be back! read more

Definitely pricy ($25 for one burrito with guac), but also solidly good and quality. Tortilla was slightly golden and flakey, yum. Just happy to have something that's not greasy fast food. Burritos are huge. My husband and I barely finished one together. Black beans were good too. Didn't get chips, not sure if we were supposed to, but had plenty of food. Was charged almost five dollars for guac and it was literally a smear of it on the inside of our tortilla. Went back and they took good care of us, so all is forgiven. The people working on the evening of 7/31/2025 were honestly the nicest and friendliest fast food workers I have ever encountered. They all should seek employment in hospitality as a lifelong career. I'm not one to review for fun or be nice just for the sake of being nice (see my other posts) Haven't even tried the food so this review is strictly for the customer service, politeness, and general pleasant disposition of the crew. WHY doesn't Fresno have Baja Fresh anymore? *scratches head*. Their food is so fresh and good! I love their hot, crispy chips and guac. The guac reminds me of Chipotles, has a great flavor. The shrimp and chicken tacos are my go-to here. The proteins are good quality and plentiful. They have of lots of salsas to choose from. My only gripe is they only have one mild salsa but it's mango based and way too sweet, wish they had a mild pico to accompany my food. This location is always clean including the restrooms friendly service and gives away free chips while you wait for your food. If you ever are on your way to SoCal or on the way back and want a quick bite, stop here and treat yourself! read more

This is the most expensive and worst tasting Baja Fresh I've ever been too. My Baja chicken burrito was $17 dollars, it was horrible, mushy, very little chicken. All guac and pico salsa. We drive through this area all the time, I'll truly never go back. The Burger place next door was packed with customers, this crappy Baja Fresh had two people in it. Wow what a disappointment! This place used to be pretty good. We had the nachos dish. Overtly expensive ($20) and now they use that canned cheese instead of fresh cheddar. The individual at the counter was very short and semi unfriendly.. My friend became a little ill after eating them. Never going back!!! read more

Food: ordered the chicken bowl. Check out how much onion I had to pull out so if you don't like onion like me, ask without because if not, it's almost a bowl of onion lol. Both raw and cooked onion. Very tasty though. My sis and I ordered a Mexican corn cup and was delicious, highly recommend with their large portion of chip we didn't even finish. The corn is better than some "eloteros" walking in the street and also "La Michoaca" shops. The food was good, I had s steak quesadilla. But very expensive at $18. The inside is nice and clean, but the bathroom smelled bad. Bathroom has a code to enter so it should not have a lot of traffic, but was not clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would eat there if I was in the area looking for Mexican food. Why yes I am giving this location a 5! This was a solid great fast food experience. Pedro was friendly and was quick to take our order. I haven't been to a Baja Fresh in years!!! We stopped by on our return drive from Santa Barbara. I got the 3 shrimp taco combo with rice and beans. These tacos had so much more flavor and tasted better than the $23 tacos I just paid for at Santo Mezcal in SB the night before. They had nice grill marks in the shrimp, they tasted fresh and everything was full of flavor. Chips were served to us warm and crispy. Definitely fresh! The place was clean including the bathroom. My family and I were famished after spending a week long vacation in Hawaii so on the 5hr trip home we decided to stop at this location for lunch. Not only was the food delicious and fresh ( no pun intended), but the service was impeccable. 20 min after we left my wife was frantic and noticed she left her backpack with her laptop, wallet, and kindle inside the restaurant. Calm as I could be, I called the restaurant while on the freeway and Maria, (the sweet woman who took our order, said she would hold it until we arrived back to grab it. On the long and dreary drive up the I-5, this was a pleasant stop along the way. The main reason I give this review is for the very friendly & welcoming Customer Service, the exceptionally clean bathrooms, and the amazing salsa bar. It's almost like someone is welcoming you into their home for a quick visit. Yes, it's a bit more pricey than a drive thru burger joint, but you get those bonus tortilla chips and delicious salsa bar. Service is excellent. Food is great for price and fresh. They have an allergy ingredient menu which is excellent. Only issue is they serve bowls and food in plastic bowls and don't recycle. Baja Fresh should change to the biodegradable bowls and containers and offer the bins for green compost, blue-recycling and black- landfill. I was disappointed by this behavior as hurting the planet for future generations. I just watch documentary BUY NOW on Netflix and woke me up even more how we all need to do our part. Baja Fresh is a big organization and should do their part and be a leader in environmental consciousness. read more

The food was good at least. Other than that, this location is a pure example of corporate greed. Burritos are about $19 which is beyond ridiculous, I mean even though the food was good it was nowhere near worth the cost. The employees hardly acknowledged us, the bathrooms were smelly, and the code is on the bottom of the receipt so you literally HAVE to purchase something and be cashed out before anyone in your party can use the bathroom. Lunch at this fast food joint cost us $65, for a burrito, nachos and two tacos. No drinks or sides or anything like that. I looked and a kids meal is almost $13!!! Here's a heads up Baja Fresh, if you're going to charge like a sit down restaurant you need to act like one. More than two employees should be visible at once, the store should be SPOTLESS, and certainly the silverware should not be labeled with wildly incorrect grammar. The plural of spoons is not "spoon's" ‍ and everything was labeled grammatically incorrect. I'm just thankful the food wasn't bad, because then you guys really would have been hearing from me. read more

Don't let the X.xx margarita sign put you off, this Baja is definitely rated-G and family friendly. :D Baja Corporate must be proud of manager, Pedro, for maintaining this fast food gem in Arvin. Located just outside the outlets with clean bathrooms. We stopped for a snack in some A/C, midday and midweek. Excellent service with a smile and friendly banter. I've had shrimp tacos regularly over the past few days, Baja Fresh can hold its own in comparison to the seaside restaurants during our holiday. Excellent customer service! We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, and to our delight, we were offered free chips--who could say no to that? Our food arrived quickly, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. Although the employees weren't wearing name badges, every guest who walked through the door was greeted with the same friendly welcome. This location truly deserves a five-star rating. I strongly recommend this particular Baja Fresh to everyone! The service is beyond what you would expect from a fast food restaurant. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is clean and well organized. Jade is one of the staff who I really want to point out. She is hardworking and as honest as can be. I accidentally left my purse at the restaurant and Jade guarded it until I could return to get it. She even stayed after her shift until I could get back to the restaurant!
