Of course we've all been to many In-N-Out Burgers in our life, but this one was extra friendly, so wanted to give them a shout out. The drive through was staffed by two workers who went through the line of cars to take orders from cars before they got to the usual ordering point, so the food could be prepared to coincide with your arrival at the pick up window. The young lady was super friendly, smiled in a genuine way, and did a perfect job of repeating the order back to me. The person who took my payment said Hello, asked me how my day was, seemed happy when I asked how her day was, and wasn't very efficient and so friendly. As the person who took my order while I was in the drive through queue asked me if I was eating in my car, the payment person gave me a place mat to "keep my car clean" - now thoughtful. And finally, the person who gave me my food gave me my drink with straw already inside, then asked if I wanted ketchup, and handed my food over with a huge genuine smile. I ordered a burger with onion, no tomato, extra spread. On the receipt my burger was correct. After going through the drive through I got my burger and it had chilies on it. I went inside and the lady in the corner brought the burger over to the cook and said that the burger was wrong. The cook then said that's "how she ordered it", which is false. Stopped here for lunch on our drive to San Diego. At 11:54a it was not busy at all, just a few cars in line. We had two burger orders with a couple of modifications due to preferences. Not sure if y'all experience this but sometimes they hire autioneers to take orders because worker, Victoria, repeated the order so fast. We ask her to repeat so we can ensure everything was right but, again, she repeated so fast I thought I was on Storage Wars. You have a choice of grilled or raw onions. We got fries with no salt too. I'm not a big fast food person, but I got the hype for In & Out after trying it for the first time in a while. It's quick, cheap, and delicious. Not the healthiest, but you don't go to fast food joints for a healthy meal ‍. I will say, my one critique is that the tomatoes made the burger soggy pretty quickly. The service was consistent, the food was consistent, and the vibes were exactly like an In-N-Out should be! It's a hustling and bustling burger stop that's meant to serve travelers and locals alike! I always get a double single (2 meat 1 cheese), extra toasted bun, grilled onions, raw whole onion, and chopped chilis! This ensures a great ratio of meat to cheese, plenty of toppings, and a bun that's toasted enough to withstand their weight. Fries, optional, but I got 'em this time! I get "fry well" to avoid that kind of chalky normal fry texture from these guys. My opinions of Lynsi Snyder will not change the fact that In-N-Out is still one of the best and most compelling burger places that exists, especially on the West Coast. read more

Probably not the best In-N-Out I've been too. Not only did they get the order wrong for my onions but they completely messed up the cheese too. I've been ordering cold cheese the last few months and I was really looking forward to it here. But, alas and alack, this was the same standard melted cheese everyone gets. I really enjoy stopping at In N Out out for a delicious and inexpensive burger. This particular location is typical of others in the chain, and is situated among a variety of eateries in the Tejon Ranch complex off of Interstate 5. As a result, it is a very high volume location. I happened to stop there on a weekday at peak lunch time, and the place was extremely busy. It took quite a while to get my food after I ordered it, and it was essentially impossible to find a place to sit down and eat inside. Fortunately, I noticed there were some outdoor tables in the back which were not occupied and I was able to eat there. I also noticed that very few cars were using the drive thru, which makes sense because people who are driving by at this location probably want to stop and get out of their cars. So if I ever stop there again when it's so busy, the trick I will use is to go through the drive thru and then either eat my food at one of the outdoor tables, or worst case just eat in my car. I think that will save a lot of time standing around waiting for the order to be called. read more

A few days ago I was headed down the Grapevine late at night and I was in the need for food. This exit has a Habit Burger, my fave fast burger place, but it's too late. They close at around 10pm I think and I just missed closing ... Sooo, I guess it's the In N Out at the same exit, they open till something like 1:30am. It's easy to find just off the freeway. Tons of other cars here, but I go inside to dine in ... I'm gonna spend enough time in the car after food. The cashier is all In N Out efficient and friendly. The worst in-n-out I been to. I ordered two grill cheese with grilled and raw onion and one without tomato. Two animal style fries. They have me two animal style grill cheese with both tomatoes. Then I told them and then they made one grill cheese (right) and the other one looked right without tomato. I took a bite into and it had beef in it. Solid In-N-Out Burger located north of the Grapevine for those making the Norcal-Socal trek. Like others have mentioned, the line here does get really long. Parking can get a bit tight too, but there's turnover. Bathroom is fairly clean. Food took about 20 minutes to come out on a weekday around 1pm. Since the seating inside was crowded and due to limited outdoor tables, I opted to eat outside on the grass away from the crowds. My cheese burger with extra grilled onions sure hit the spot.
