Server was not friendly at first matter a fact seemed annoyed when I asked for the special advertised for 6.00. Oh we don't have that there a special menu inside and walked away. My husband and I had dinner there last night. I ordered fish and chips, my mistake and my husband ordered three eggs over medium the oil in pancakes were undercooked I mean my fish was so bad. I was so sick all night. My husband's eggs were so runny he couldn't eat any of them and the grease in the home fries. Everything was just so awful. I don't understand, same owners forked river. What happened to this place ???? We typically go here once a year on vacation. We don't love the ihop chain as we never seem to have a good experience in one except for this location. They are always good. But not today !! Our first warning sign. We walked in at 6:30. They should have been in the middle of a dinner rush and we were one of five tables seated. Uh oh ! Bad sign. We were seated promptly. And ordered. The menu seemed different than usual. Definitely not as pretty as usual. We ordered some simple breakfast items, a burger and a chicken sandwich. We waited almost 25 minutes for our order to arrive !! The waitress apologized for the wait but gave no reason why as there was hardly anyone there. The eggs were definitely made from an egg substitute. The bread for my sandwich had mold on a small piece of it. The French toast is huge and pancakes seemed fluffy. The burger was also ok. My salad came out with no dressing. I had to ask for it. We passed on dessert and moved on. When I asked for a military discount they said ok. It's only off my bill. Then they came back and corrected themselves. For future reference, I can't get a military discount if someone in my party orders from the 55 plus menu since that is already discounted. Then we were told to exit out the side doors as they had already locked the front doors. It was 8:24 pm. They close at 9. Sorry manahawkin ihop. Ordered the "big Steak Omelet" and wrote in the special instructions box: "No Mushrooms, Please." My order arrived (delivery) right on time. I was in this morning with my father celebrating good news I had just received from a Dr. appointment. While eating the first few bites I began to hear an angry man berating his team of breakfast servers about the amount of coffee being poured and napkins being given out. Cursing and calling them names I don't wish to share. I immediately lost my appetite and began to physically shake because of this man's treatment of his workers. I asked our server to speak to whoever he was and was informed he was the owner. After waiting 5 minutes I was told that he had left and to be told to mind my own business. As a member of the hospitality industry and just a human being who thinks people should be treated in a respectful way, I find it absolutely appalling that these women were treated with such complete disregard. We both ordered something with pancakes, used the syrup, then after we were almost finished eating we noticed tiny ants all over the table! They were coming out of the syrup container! My first time attending this iconic American establishment. Our large group of 16 was returning from AC on a snowy, rainy Sunday afternoon and decided to grab a late "brunch." We were the only people at the establishment, yet it took time to clean and push tables together to seat us. The service was slow when it came to taking orders, getting coffee, water, then waiting for our food. That wasn't nice, especially when everyone was super dehydrated and hungry. However, our waiter was super sweet and understanding, always responsive to our jokes and requests. He took care of our check quickly, splitting it amid a million credit cards without issues, which was really appreciated. They were out of burgers. All burgers. There was a recall on lettuce, so no salads of any kind either. So our carnivore group was left to ponder our remaining options. I was hard pressed to find healthy options. Everything on the menu was too greasy, too full of sugar or sodium or fat or all together. Indicates calories for each option were a helpful touch. I went with The least offensive option, which I ended up being very happy with. Chicken Florentine crepes $9.99 were only 860 calories. Very filling, yet light. Two sweet/savory crepes were stuffed with mushrooms, chicken breast, and Swiss cheese, served on a bed of spinach, topped with diced tomatoes and white cheese sauce. All the elements worked well together and I finished every last bite. Gota say I really enjoyed that dish, while all my friends were gulping down their liver-killing meals. Have to mention that the pancakes were delicious. Fluffy and light. Ordering them as a side was a good idea. If you order any other sweet dishes, you'll probably get diabetes. But just going with plan pancakes with butter will provide that sweet kick without sending your insulin crashing up and down. read more

I went here for pancakes the other day, with my husband. I needed Gluten Free which they make and is on their menu. Their GF pancakes are very good. I ordered a side of bacon and when that came and was served, it looked so greasy and actually looked blackish from cooking on a dirty grill. I sent it back and had the girl take it off the bill. This isn't the first time that I had problems with their food. Hope they clean the grill often or I won't go back. Especially since they offer Gluten Free they should clean up the area they cook on. read more

What happened to this place? The food used to be great for breakfast. The pancakes were smaller and crunchy on the bottom. The sausage links were smaller. There was no salt or sweetener on the table. We were greeted by 4 friendly faces at the door, were promptly seated and then sat for 15 minutes without seeing a waiter. The restaurant was not crowded at all. We left without any acknowledgment. There is no longer a cashier and you pay your bill with your server. Two days in a row our bill was paid with cash and the server did not provide our coin change. If they do not have coin change then they need to round in favor of the customer as this was form of theft. Hope they enjoy our change as we left lower % tip than usual for us. read more

So, we try to support this place but last Saturday was dismal. They were 1/3 full but apparently no help, so a 10 minute wait. Hostess/waitress was trying but failing. No management onsite until 9:00 an hour after we arrived. Additional help also arrived at 9:00 My platter consisted of french toast, eggs, bacon hash browns toast. French toast was so cold it wouldn't melt butter. Clearly, it had been made first and sat around. The toast was cold, again butter would not melt. The Bacon ordered soft was well done. The waitress took back french toast and after 10+ minutes it came out warm. When the manager arrived and saw all the issues he should have gone table to table to ask if everything was OK and apologized if not. Not sure where he disappeared to. When we left person greeting/seating people did not even acknowledge us leaving. Obviously terrible training. read more

Cold coffee in the pot, cold pancakes that the butter wouldn't melt on, toast brought to the table with no butter on it or on the side, had to get my own napkins from the waitress station... Ordered through DoorDash 3 times. Each time the order was freezing cold and missing items that we paid for. Requested a credit through DoorDash each time but they would not allow it. I Decided to reach out to the store directly. I spoke to the manager who was extremely disrespectful and uncaring. She spoke over me each time I tried to explain the issues with our current order. Haven't been to this IHOP since the beginning of covid. Went there on April 8th and were so disgusted with the condition of the place. We didn't notice anything when we went in, they seated us right away! After we placed our order we were looking around and realized that the floor was dirty and had debris all over. We waited quite awhile for our food but it was fine. We had to ask the waitress to clean the table, it hadn't been wiped after the last customer who sat there!! As we looked around we saw that the whole place was filthy. Not only because they were busy (they weren't) it looked like it was just neglected!! Our waitress Claire was super attentive but not over bearing. Our food order was exact and came out pretty dang quick!

We were excited when we saw "under new management" as we vowed to never return again after our last experience. Well, I wish we never went. We sat at our table for a good 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. We were a table of 6 including one infant and a toddler, making us not only viable but also audible as our son likes to drum and sing wherever he is. Finally we waved down the manager and let him know we were ready as now at this point my son was starving. He took our order and after sometime our food came out. To our utmost disappointment, our beloved cheese blintzes were CURDLED! Again, no one checked in on us but when they finally did, the manager didn't even come over. They did remove the charge but still. This is how you get someone sick. The waitress was doing her best but was definitely overwhelmed. This is definitely one of the better Ihops! I came in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was surprisingly not packed. I was able to enjoy a fairly quiet and pleasant brunch experience. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. We didn't feel rushed in any way. This has probably been my most pleasant Ihop dining experience. The food was fresh, and everything from the sample platter we ordered was fried perfectly. The breakfast platter, blueberry pancakes, and omelette we ordered was good. The only con was the side of home fries; they tasted undercooked. Otherwise, this place gets a solid 4 stars! read more

Seriously the worst experience tonight with my family, to start how about Refreshing ice water accidentally dropped in your lap by your waitress? To follow poor service, the dishes weren't as they are normally put together and other patrons not being able to order while seated at same table as others that have due to the cut off time of 7:32. To top it off to see a family at the next table get their order missing the child's that was never put in to the cook and the grill closed and cleaned!!! What a night. Bad host; walked in while no one was at the podium, cashier came out to run the register but still no one to come over to seat us; crowd start coming in and assistant manger name Duane came out to the podium start taking names but people came after us cut in front of us then get their name taking while we try to get our name in. Told the assistant manager we were there first but he starts giving us attitude. Still seats the group who cut us off first before give us group of three a small booth. The assistant manager then went over to greeted the group who cut us off because guess they were regular but totally ignored our table. Good menu,good price, GREAT staff and service. Dwayne was our server for our last three most recent visits. He adds a personal touch each time, spends time at each table and makes sure each order is to customer's satisfaction. Dwayne is also the manager during our visits and is setting a fine example for his staff- like him, they are effective, efficient and add the personal attention that is missing in many restaurants. read more
