Typical IHOP really... I can't say that anything here really stands out or is 'better' or worse than any other IHOP. It's food for the masses, in and out with decent service most of the time. Personally, I don't find the food all that great or noteworthy. Typically we just get some pancakes, eggs and bacon or maybe the French Toast. Jeez, I can't even think of anyway to describe it besides 'ok' or 'not bad'. The kids menu is easy for them to use with pictures of the meal so they can see what they would like. Kids meals are portioned well if you've got a kid with a healthy appetite. The few times we've been there the service was reasonably quick, coffee and drinks were checked occasionally and they never seem too busy to get behind or forget tables. All in all though, you've got an IHOP - aside from different experiences on service, they're all the same. read more

Went here on a Saturday afternoon it was not that busy, i went up to the host and i started the conversation by saying hello and he did not acknowledge me at all and walked past me to seat a party that was waiting. He came back to the host stand and still refused to acknowledge my presence so i suggested to my niece that we go to bakers square where we were greeted immediately upon arrival. Stopped in here to get a quick bite before getting on the road, ordered t-bone steak n eggs crepes n strawberries, Texas toast and potatoes, reg and chocolate chip pancakes, bacon ( pork, turkey) so that took OVER 30minutes...we had to play heads up on our phones until the food came and it still didn't, five more minutes and here comes the food, steak wasn't medium rare like I asked, my eggs weren't scrambled soft, I didn't receive my hash browns, the turkey bacon looked fake, AND we didn't get water, utensils or napkins until we asked for it.‍‍‍‍SO we asked to see management, she made all the food over and comp the order....AND I STILL DIDNT GET MY HASH BROWNS I know since the pandemic no one WANTS to work but the floor of the restaurant was sticky, bathroom needed tending...... proceed with caution when going to sit and eat here... read more

The food here was awful land the service was just as bad. When we arrived it took around 20 minutes just for the waiters to ask for our orders. Then it took over an hour for our food to arrive. Plus once the tables food did arrive they took an extra 10-15 minutes to prepare my order, which was a sandwhich. To add to that my friends chicken sandwhich wasn't even cooked all the way and now she probably has salmonella now. Long story short wouldn't recommend going here. read more

The location is pretty nice, very accessible and not in an overly crowded area. They are currently remodeling, so I understand the minor chaos in terms of seating and whatnot. However, the floor of the men's bathroom was extremely wet, and I nearly slipped. I also walked into the large stall, following an employee who urinated all over the seat and did not wash his hands as he left the restroom. The food was usual for an IHOP, and pretty good. However, my egg was fairly undercooked but I opted not to say anything since it was obvious that they were swamped. (It is New Year's Day.) The red velvet pancakes and turkey bacon were very good, though. My girlfriend, on the other hand, didn't have the greatest experience. She ordered a Classic Breakfast Crepe, but received a Chicken Florentine Crepe. The server was pretty adamant about it being the right thing, but eventually realized the error and replaced my girlfriend's food. She enjoyed the rest of her meal, however. I would probably be alright with returning again if I was in the area. Our inconvenience were very circumstantial and probably don't represent the restaurant as a whole. read more

Ordered steak tips and egg breakfast. Steak was pretty good and tender, but no mushrooms. It only had onions on it, which was not what the menu said. I wanted my eggs scrambled with cheese, there wasn't an option online to add that. I called after placing online order and no answer. My husband went there to tell them about the cheese and waited 30 minutes for them to remake just the eggs. (He said he wasn't sure what took so long)When we got back to the hotel, his steak omelet had ham in it! We are non pork eaters! It was not supposed to have ham. When he went back, he also told them about the mushrooms. They said they ran out. I would think as a courtesy, you would call the customer and let them know. Although the food was decent, I threw it all up. I don't know why, other than I haven't been eating heavy like that for awhile, or the onions on the steak may have been to much, but I was displeased. Yuck!!! Completely yuck!! Went for breakfast early Sunday morning so no line or long waits! The wait was okay but food and service was terrible! My daughter and I waited over twenty minutes to get our order taken and thirty more to get our food. Our food was COLD!!! Yes! Cold!!! I'm starting this by saying I love ihop! We had to travel to Merrillville for a funeral and went to ihop for breakfast. The server that seated us walked up with her arms folded and a crabby face. She clearly didn't want to be there. We ordered our food and the entire staff was gathered around the kitchen area and the cooks were laughing and goofing around and were very loud. We got our food pretty quickly which was great but we found that it wasn't cooked all the way and we were given old precooked food. Eggs over easy meant uncooked yolk and my crepes were cold and hard like cardboard. Couldn't eat them and we left more that half our food on the plate. The manager was right there while all this was going on. I never send back food because of the fear of someone spitting in it and we were in a hurry to get to the funeral. I believe people can have fun at work and everyone has a bad day but after working in Retail for over 30 years you've got to still be professional and do your job. read more

As I came in I assumed my guest & I tried into ghosts considering no one acknowledged us for about 5 minutes. After getting seated, things were going good.
