Let's get the important part out of the way first: Jose was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, attentive without hovering, and somehow always managed to appear exactly when we needed something. Great service has become surprisingly rare these days, so when someone gets it right, they deserve to be recognized. Jose absolutely earned this five-star review. As for the food... The fresh fruit was genuinely fresh, which shouldn't be noteworthy, but somehow has become noteworthy. The chicken quesadilla was an unexpected standout. Crispy on the outside, flavorful throughout, and not greasy in the slightest. I'd happily order it again. The pancakes were... pancakes. They fulfilled their contractual obligation to be pancakes and nothing more. They simply had no aspirations beyond that. The Fisherman's Platter was another pleasant surprise. The fish was crispy without being greasy, the shrimp were cooked well, and everything arrived hot. My partner ordered a side of mashed potatoes with country gravy, and both were surprisingly excellent. The gravy deserves a mention. It had a rich, homemade quality that we both really enjoyed. The strawberry milkshake was also excellent. I can't say with certainty whether it brings all the boys to the yard, but I can confirm it brought at least one very happy customer to the table. The restaurant itself was clean, including the restroom. It requires an access code, which I appreciated, and the tropical-scented hand soap was an oddly pleasant touch. Someone is paying attention. Another pleasant surprise for families: during the summer, kids eat free every day from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. We didn't know that walking in, so it was a nice surprise when our child's meal was taken off the bill. That brought our total from what would have been about $79 before tax to just under $69 before the tip. That's a genuinely helpful promotion. If I were reviewing the food alone, this would probably land somewhere around two or three stars. The quesadilla, fresh fruit, Fisherman's Platter, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the milkshake genuinely surprised us, while a few other items simply weren't my cup of tea. That's perfectly okay--taste is subjective. The clean restaurant, thoughtful touches, and especially Jose's service turned what would have been an average dinner into one worth writing about. I think IHop North Hollywood is my new favorite location! First and foremost the service is super friendly and attentive, way better than the location in Burbank. Mariah C was our server and she made us feel welcomed. For those of you who know me understand my love for coffee and I have always appreciated the fact that here they leave the coffee pot on the table for you. No waiting for refills here and I love that! I went with the spicy poblano burrito with hash browns and ordered a side of the cheese sauce from their spicy beef tacos which went incredibly well with the flavors of my burrito. My dinner companion went with the Spinach and mushroom omelette and added bacon. For me it was a little under seasoned but with a few shakes of salt it was perfect. Now I might be weird but the fact that the bathroom was immaculate really impressed me. Maybe I have been working in restaurants too long but I appreciated that. read more

Since my last visit back in 2025, I have visited this particular IHOP 5 more times and didn't do an update because nothing really changed. Today, around 3pm my friend Linda and I went to have late breakfast early lunch. She met me there. When I walked in, there was no one to greet me. I waited for like 7 minutes until the host acknowledged me and told me to have a seat wherever I liked. The restaurant was empty. There were only 3 other tables and she was the only one working and running the show. This is normal for IHOP when it SHOULDN'T BE!!. Read my previous review. We both ordered the same things and shared. She also got small cup of fruit. I mostly go to IHOP to use my 20% off discount that applies to the entire check. We got Bacon Avocado Ranch Burger with Onion Rings, and I asked Mariah(our server) to put the Ranch on the side.(16.29). We also got Breakfast Sampler which came with: 2 bacons, 2 sausages, Hash brown, 2 over medium eggs and ham. I subbed the ham and asked for an extra egg($1.99). It also came with 2 pancakes. I wanted to get gluten free pancakes and she said "they got rid of that". Sounded more like a bad employee that got fired from his/her job! Pretty harsh the way she said that. For drinks I got water and Orange Juice ($5.19), for that small/regular glass I could have bought a 46 oz. juice. She got the order right, but forgot to bring the Ranch dressing, I also asked for my bacon to be extra crispy and it wasn't. I sent the bacon back and it came back to our table very crispy. The food took some time for it to come out and both items including the pancake were cold. She also forgot to bring the extra egg until I reminded her twice. Restaurant was very clean and has a huge parking lot and 2 restrooms. Both for women & men! I've been here several times for lunch. We ordered off for lunch special which are very reasonable. He had a ham and cheese omelette with a side of fruit, I had the eggs scramble with bacon and cheese and hash brown potatoes. The service was good, but not our server, the person who delivered our dishes apparently left them too long and they were just warm. I didn't send mine back, but normally I would have. Kat was our waitress today, and the service was horrible. From the moment she approached us, she had a dismissive attitude and made us feel unwelcome. We ordered a sampler to share, but she never brought us small plates. After I finished my drink, I waited for her to come by so I could ask for a refill, but she never checked on our table or asked if we needed anything. When we were ready for the check, we had to walk to the front because she never came back to our table. Due to the lack of service and the way we were treated, I chose not to leave a tip. Incredible! Unconditionally, and irrevocably incredible! I was here just recently to have a nice hearty breakfast before I went to a friend's party in Burbank. Rosanna was a sweet, caring, and professional individual who did everything and all in her power to make sure my experience was worth the bus ride. I ordered the breakfast sampler and some coffee. This location is our go to for weekend breakfast after as it's close to home and the service is always great! You'll always see the manager on the floor making sure everything is running smoothly. We came in to have breakfast since we had to wait until it was 9am for an oil change. We happened to pass by and decided to stop here for breakfast. Right away we were greeted by Avis and she sat us down and took our order. Everything came out so quickly and fresh. Our food was super delicious. I had the pancake combo with the strawberry cheesecake pancakes and my hubby had the split decision. The baby had the French toast sticks with bananas and strawberries and she loved it. The rest of the staff was also amazing going above and beyond and were very kind. Our drinks were refilled and they all made sure we had an amazing experience. The restrooms were super clean and the inside was also very clean so I appreciated that this place is taken care of. It shows that the employees take pride in their work Overall this was a super amazing experience and I will definitely be back to this location when visiting the valley. I've driven by this IHOP so many times and finally decided to used to come in for breakfast. There is a very large parking lot and I was impressed with how big the restaurant is. We got seated right away. The prices are very reasonable especially considering how big the portions are. The restaurant is kind of loud with all the kitchen noise, dishes, kids crying, and talking. Bring noise cancelling headphones if you want to eat in peace. Our waitress Kay was very nice and efficient. She checked in on us frequently.
