It is exactly what it is and better than you expect. I generally don't come here for breakfast, but this is a go to for lunch or dinner when I need to get out of my place and eat somewhere and read a book. (Don't judge.) The burgers, melts and fries are solid. The chicken fingers, turkey dinners and pot roast all do a good job of providing nutritive value. And the chocolate cake is always requested by my kids. The coffee -- hot and abundant. Service is truly on top of it. The atmosphere is somewhat sterile, but also comfortable. Comfortably corporately sterile. I actually like it here. read more

This is a fairly recently opened location and I've been to it two times in the past month. I regret not going nearly enough because now that I am moving out of the area, I will only be able to visit when I am near. The location inside is clean but parking is difficult if you have a large vehicle. Both times, the service was great. The first service was better than the second one but I do not remember the servers' names. I love Ihop's coffee. It is better than Denny's. I only come here for breakfast, I haven't tried anything else. I get the deluxe sampler and order another side of bacon or eggs and share with my husband and that usually fills us up. The food was incredibly tasty. The place is quite loud but the target audience is probably families so that to me is expected. read more

Corporate needs to revamp their hire process for managers! Seriously I was absolutely appalled last Saturday when the manager went to seat us and realized when we got to the table that it was dirty, and then proceeded to walk away and leave us standing there. This was a very clean IHOP and the server Chantal was really great. My fruit was fresh, the crepes with lemon and powdered sugar are no longer on the menu but you can still get them and they were so good. The bathroom was clean. A couple of things I think required attention are the massive water damage spots on the ceiling and how difficult it is to get into the bathroom stall the way the door opened up into the space. I was wearing a mini backpack purse which made it even more cumbersome. With all the space available in the bathroom area I don't understand why they made the stalls so small. The place also really echoes badly and I think something needs to be done to help with noise since there were loud people there that were pounding on their table while they spoke which I don't think I have seen at any other restaurant ever! We love coming to this Ihop it's one of our favorites to go to! The atmosphere is always welcoming. Everyone looks and acts like they love being apart of their team! Our server Avis wasted no time coming to serve us and answering any questions we had. She even taught us more about the app and making sure we are scanning our reciepts for points!! Up until yesterday, I assumed that all IHOPs were equal. This is not true. After leaving this one without ordering, and experiencing a different level of service and dining environment at the Burbank location, we know this is "the bad IHOP." My husband was really wanting IHOP so we mapped this restaurant. It's probably in the most depressing, sad, neighborhood in the area, surrounded by abandoned and boarded-up shopping centers, but at least there was good parking. We were quoted a 20-minute wait, but got a text well before that (they get one star for the text message waiting system!) Once inside, I thought that this IHOP lacked any of the warmth and comfort that most of their restaurants, especially the older A-frame models, have. The dining room looked like everything had been gutted for a remodel and then just left that way, a large empty space with nothing but a sea of cheap tables and chairs. There wasn't any music, and the worst part was that from the kitchen, there was a loud, steady beeping that sounded like a hospital heart rate monitor. It was impossible to ignore. We were seated next to a woman with young children who ran in circles around our table, stood next to us and screamed at the server. I can't remember the last time I've sat in a more uncomfortable restaurant, and even hospital cafeterias are nicer to sit in. We waited about 15 minutes and chose our orders, but no one came around, even to tell us they'd be with us soon. Finally, we couldn't take the beeping anymore and told the hostess we were leaving. She didn't ask why or seem to be remotely concerned. It doesn't look like management reads these, but you can't have the ONLY sound in your music-less restaurant be loud, heart-rate-monitor-sounding devices. read more

I love this IHOP :-) it is a great place to come to study in the middle of the night you can order your coffee, do your work, They have free Wi-Fi, and then treat yourself and order a stack of pancakes :-) in the night it's pretty quiet for study purposes :-) the staff here is super sweet and accommodating. my server is usually Avis :-) she is great and her energy reminds me of that familiar feelings of the good times of being home :-) I love the dynamics between the workers here they are like a family the way they greet each other when they come in for their shifts is really cute. they are well oiled machine over here :-) read more

The service at this place needs improvement! It wasn't busy, so we got seated right away--great start. Our waitress was friendly and took our order immediately, which we appreciated. We ordered a Coke and hot chocolates. The hot chocolates came out right away, but my Coke? Never arrived. After waiting **15 minutes** with no drink and no check-in from the staff, I finally had to get up and ask the waitress about it. Guess they were still "mixing the ingredients together"...? The service here makes you feel forgotten the moment your order is taken, and unfortunately, when you look around, you get the feeling that everyone feels the same. To top it off, when I paid through the IHOP app and showed the waitress, she asked me to wait while she confirmed it--but first, she decided she was going to **use the restroom**. Unbelievable. Ordered a pancake combo and the pancakes never came. We asked about them and after 5 minutes they still weren't ready but my husband's sides were already gone. We asked for the pancakes to be removed and they said no because it's a combo. We then asked for them to just charge us for the sides. The manager just removed the biscuits I ordered from the bill.
