It's always a great time at Shakey's Pizza! I was doing some grocery shopping nearby and got very hungry. Stopped by to grab a bite. Walked in and was greeted by one of their managers Jose V. He took my order and Steven brought out my order on timely manner. I ordered a large, thin crust ALL vegetarian pizza which came with: Green Pepper, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Black Olives, & Yellow Onion. I also got 4 pieces of their delicious fried chicken (all dark meat). Chicken was a bit greasy, but tasted good. Had to damp some of the oil before devouring all pieces! They also have mojo potatoes which I am really NOT a fan of. I also got a cup of vanilla ice cream, which was so cute and paid only a $1.00. Everything tasted delicious, fresh, lots of vegetables on the pizza and was sizzling HOT!! Place is spacious, and has 3 different dining rooms nicely partitioned for dining, parties, and holds up to 225 people. They do all types of parties from birthdays, promotions, retirements, holidays and everything else in between. They also have a buffet between the hours of 11am to 2pm. However, they do have a small section for salad bar, offer beer, all types of soda, lemonade & ice tea. Their Fun Zone is filled with so many arcade games & prizes where an adult can be a kid again. Restaurant was somewhat clean, including the bathroom. Tv's all around you, an arcade, celebrity photos on the walls from back in the days. Great, upbeat, friendly, helpful staff/employees! 80's music playing overhead. Team work makes a dream work! They all put in their part. Big parking lot shared with a Convalescent home. Shakey's is not a place I would dine at, however, this was not my choice so I went with what the group decided. It was extremely busy/crowded (Sunday afternoon). I do not eat at buffets so I did my own order (family combo). I passed by the buffet to find my seat and the buffet had food everywhere. They need to do a better job of keeping the buffet area clean. Once seated the food came out.... the chicken and mojo was on the salty side but the pizza was good. The parking lot is extremely crowded (I found street parking across the street). Shakey's has been around since 1954 in Sacramento. I grew up frequenting their IE restaurants, so anytime I visit there's always nostalgia. This location has street parking and several spaces in the rear. The interior was clean and well maintained. I came for a birthday celebration and the customer service was excellent. We ordered 3 large pizzas; supreme, pepperoni, pepperoni & jalapeño, 16 piece fried chicken, and Mojos. The order was delivered to the table promptly hot and fresh. So I have lived near this Shakeys for almost 15 years and never went in, until last week. It was fairly busy, a lot of kids but not crazy loud & it was clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. AND the food was so good!! When he delivered the pizza I realized there was actually more veggies on the pizza the the obligatory pizza menu photo! I know it's a "pizza chain" but I wanted to rate them well because the boy & I were so impressed with it all, we went back again & yep! Still just as good! We got the chicken tenders & again they were really good! You want good pizza (or chicken tenders) at a very decent price & $20 pitchers of beer - go here. It's literally my new fave place. Free street parking & parking lot in back. Lots of tvs on (not loud) to watch the games as well. And a little arcade for the kiddies. Or me lol There are also always seems to be a party or 3 and they're never loud, and I checked the price of the parties and I can see why people go here, you can feed 10 to 12 people for like $120 or less, I think that's a fantastic deal. read more

There was a full house and I felt confident that they were keeping common areas clean including the buffet area. Loved seeing the manager walking the floor assisting his crew. Leading by example! Worst location I've ever been to. Bunch a lunch price is higher than other locations. I was hoping to have enchiladas since most locations have them Wednesdays and Saturdays but this one only had tiny meatballs. It's parking lot is small and crowded. 4 adult couples were on our way to a Hollywood show and wanted food! We went to Shakey's with meh expectations and were pleasantly surprised! Decor was red vinyl and 80s . They had a table for 8, food was easy to order, food came out accurate, hot and tasty, beer and glasses were ice cold- so so good. The best part was the attentive serving staff. They were constantly clearing our table and asking if we needed anything, including additional glasses, plates, etc. I also respect a bathroom with a code, very clean. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to food being on the floor (they should sweep more frequently) and parking is limited (not the staffs fault). I enjoyed this spot because of the access to an arcade and the buffalo wings are AMAZING! Maybe because this is the first time I've craved wings right after leaving, so that tells you how good they are. I also liked their all meat pizza as well. Lots of seatings options, good for families or hangouts. Good parking in the back. Awesome customer service, we had a spill during our dinner and they didn't hesitate to take care of it right away. First time trying here. I had the $14.99 buffet because it was a Sunday. The service was ok at first but then I noticed the ranch was out even though it just opened 3 minutes before I got in. I heard two people tell them it was empty so I waited and waited. No one refilled it until a third person told them. The salad was fresh and tasty. I then went and got the food. Located off Laurel Canyon Blvd in Valley Village it's about 8-10 mins away from Universal Studios Hollywood. Parking can be tough when busy the lot behind fills up and is shared with another business. Street parking is available as well. The place is nice and clean. They have a fun area as well for the kids. Service was pretty quick but your mileage may vary. Overall a nice Shakey's and what can I say I love their thin crust pizza and mojos. read more

Fried chicken, baked chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, mojo potatoes, steamed vegetables (previously frozen), and pizza. Lots of pizza. Smores pizza, Hawaiian, pepperoni, veggie, sausage, it's all great. The salad bar is great too. It's Iceberg lettuce, and you can add all kinds of stuff to it like carrots, red cabbage, artichokes, olives, hot peppers, bell peppers. There's also about four or five different kinds of dressing as well including italian, blue cheese, Ranch, Thousand Island, Etc. 5 stars? Yes. This isn't the usual type of place that I go to. But in a crunch, or just when you want to reminisce about your childhood this place does what it does best. Good food, inexpensive, baked fresh right in front of you.
