I can't believe that I never thought to review this place as I have breakfast here regularly. It's the best. I love their food and the service is always pleasant and quick. This morning I had the Spinach & Mushroom Omelette, my favorite. I also tried the new Red Skin Potato Hash as a side. Delicious! Hopefully they will keep it as a regular menu item. I don't understand some of the negative reviews. Every time I come here I have a great experience. The only thing that makes me nervous is how most of the waitresses don't write our order down. Sometimes I come here with some friends after working out out at the gym. If there's three or four of us, and the waitress doesn't write down our order I'm always afraid part of our order will come out wring. But that's never happened. Great service and terrific food. My experience at ihop is usually okay. Today, however, was less than satisfactory. It was crowded for late breakfast, but the wait wasn't horrible. The food was alright. The Swedish crepes were way too syrupy but the sausage and bacon made up for it. I was extremely unhappy with the quality of the service. Our server was very impolite when divvying out our drinks and food. When I say divvying out, I don't mean that she actually divvied out anything. Instead, she decided to place every single drink and food in front of my spot. Before she even did that, she set the entire tray of drinks on the table by pushing my sunglasses out of the way... If she asked nicely, I would've just moved them. My actual plate of food had syrup all over the bottom, creating a huge mess. The service ruined my experience there. My dad and I come here for breakfast sometimes. The service is always nice, the food is consistent. The ventilation is terrible, you can't leave there without stinking. They won't give you anything off the children's menu even if you offer to pay more. It's a place to go to for a quick breakfast and are able to go home and shower afterward. read more

If you like iHOP then you already know their pancakes and most of their breakfast food is the best. I personally love all their different types of omelets but love the chicken fajita because I get to eat sour cream with it. I'm pretty basic with my pancake choice and just get plain pancakes on the side with a cup of orange juice. If you're there and it's cold, get their hot chocolate, it's the best ! This location was a pretty nice iHOP but the wait isn't the best! I have visited multiple times, and each time I did wait at least 15 minutes. But best quick breakfast food for sure ! read more

Wasn't a big fan of IHOP until recently. I visited this IHOP with my hubby on Saturday after missing breakfast at Old Country Buffet. I'm sure glad we did. Service was great! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious, grits were good, sausage and bacon were good and hubby had the chicken fajita omelette that was splendid. Our server, Chelsie, greeted us with warm welcome and sweet smile as my mom and I entered the restaurant after a very long day of driving last night. She made us feel at home as well as served us with promptness. We ordered soup, deluxe pancake, omelette, and coffee. It was the best meal we ever had at any IHOP. By the way, I found out while we were chatting after the meal, that today (May 14) is her birthday. Food is typical IHOP food. The only complaint I have is it's always crowded. Wait times when they say is 20 minutes is actually 45 minutes. It's also on a busy street corner and getting there coming south on Roosevelt is not very convenient. Service is decent as well. Not the best but not bad either. During last visit it was 75 degrees outside and felt like 65 degrees at the table they set my family at with AC fan blowing into us constantly. That being said it was comfortable in the waiting area. Same food as all IHOPs but great service. They we not busy when we went for breakfast, but as we got our food i noted all th etables filled quickly. Ther service did not suffer, and the manager came by for good measure to make sure everything was ok. Pleasant staff and clean. For the most part the clientelle is well behaved. I can understand crowds because it's a sign of success, but I've been seated at tables on busy nights that weren't even cleared of the previous occupants' food, let alone wiped and sanitized. I brought my girlfriend here twice for breakfast, the first time I had a heart ham and cheese omelette, it was ok the cheese was watery and it had no flavor. Fast service(every time we go in 5 minutes food is ready!), normal prices, excellent food( i love the variety of pancakes,waffles,french toast and crepes they have!), they also have Strawberry,Blueberry,Butter Pecan and Maple sirups on EVERY TABLE (which i have never seen anywhere else!), if you order coffee you get a full carafe, food always looks like the pictures in menu and overall we are very satisfied! Well first I know it's a city restaurant and a breakfast place, but Caesar salad was chicken spring mix a packet of Caesar and croutons, I never order that but I know that's not a Caesar salad. Got eggs Benedict which wasn't on the menu and it sat too long so the eggs were closer to scrambled eggs. So with that said, the waiter never asked if anything was wrong even though most of the food was still on the plates barely ate. Also never came back for a refill and we had three empty glasses. So we contacted the manger to let her know about the incident and she stated that we could just leave she didn't apologize she was just trying to get us out of there.
