Service was terrible. It took our server 10 minutes to get us our drinks. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. The server apologized and told us that she just forgot to put the order in. How do you just forget? We were her only table. The manager walked past us several times but seemed to busy wiping off the same table for an hour and a half to even ask us how our meal was. Pleasantly surprised! I didn't have high hopes, my memories of IHOPS are from years ago, eating at night while traveling for my job. Since then we avoided them since my husband worked for a competitor. I don't know when IHOP "rebranded" but if everything tastes as good as it looks on the menu I will be stopping at more IHOP's in the future. Maybe they have some new staff or got the kinks worked out, but we had great service while here compared to the previous reviews. Everyone made eye contact and smiled, we were greeted immediately upon walking in the door. Our waitress was pleasant and patient with my kids. We came early-ish on a Sunday. Not much of a wait when we got there, but by the time we left it was out the door - our waitress never pushed for us to leave. We only got pancakes and bacon but both were perfectly cooked. I ordered a stack for my 8 year old, thinking the kids menu wouldn't be enough. But when the happy face pancake came out for the 6 year old it was huge - I would say 12 inches diameter. While our waitress wasn't pushy - about 4 other people stopped by to "clean up" our plates for us. One, named Corey, who I think also greeted us, engaged my 6 year old in conversation and patiently listened as he rambled on. :) For out-of-towners, this is a brand new IHOP in Pooler, all shiny and clean looking. If management can keep up the positive vibe with the wait staff, I think this will be a great addition to Pooler. They are definitely filling a void offering breakfast at this location! read more

Slow service. Ordered two Scrambled eggs, bacon, and two pancakes. Eggs were rubbery. Pancakes were fine but I will probably not return.

Thanks to my wonderful server Crystal, my experience here was amazing! I'm a server in Pooler as well and she was everything I want to be to my customers. I tried this IHOP despite the reviews commenting on slow service and was pleasantly surprised. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked through the door and seated promptly. My waitress seated me and took my drink order immediately. She was back with my water by the time I had made my dinner selection and I received my food within 15 minutes. I did arrive later in the evening, but there were still several other tables occupied when I arrived. The staff were all attentive and pleasant and I would be happy to come here to eat again. read more

Waited 15 minutes to be seated. 10 more minutes till server arrives. 10 more minutes till beverages arrive. My husband ordered the steak omelet. I ordered a hamburger and side salad. 45 minutes later our food arrives. I was told it took so long because of my burger. I thought well ok it will probably be good then right? Wrong! Dry as the bottom of a shoe. Burnt bacon and fries instead of salad. 10 minutes later here is my salad. She forgot the dressing. That arrives 10 minutes later. I'm giving this 2 stars only because our waitress, Michelle worked really hard in a tough situation and one of the few waitstaff wearing a mask. We waited 45 minutes after being quoted a 25 minute wait. However I expected this based on the situation in the lobby and would not have written a bad review based on that. We specifically went to IHOP because they are one of the few places that have gluten friendly pancakes. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated we were then told they didn't have any of that batter. (This was 11am on a Sunday). 3 of our 4 meals came at one time and another meal came about 10 minutes later. My husbands omelette was missing one of the vegetables he was charged for, again not Michelles fault. This would have been okay except about 2 hours later my husband became violently sick and had to pull over by the highway. If there is anyplace else to go for breakfast, I recommend you go there instead. read more

If I could give this place a 0, I would. I ordered a turkey dinner over the phone, when I got to the restaurant they told me they didn't have stuffing then she came back and said they didn't have any broccoli. I got to my vehicle and look into my bag to find out that the gravy is cold. They also told me over the phone it would be done in 15 mins and I showed up to the store in 20 mins and I had to wait another 5 in the store. read more

Service is decent from wait staff, however, the food is never prepared correctly. Always missing something or cooked incorrectly. Half the food is hot the other cold. Just a bad experience that I had on three separate occasions at different times of day, so, I feel like I've given a fair chance before this bad review. DONT EAT HERE!!! My friends and I just came out from the Pooler Cinemas (Infinity War was BOMB! Go see that ASAP) I digress. We walk in, got sat right away. Our server takes a while to greet us, but we're patient people. When she does come, she ask our drinks. I say water, and she looks up, "Anybody else want that? Anybody else want water?" My wife ask for orange juice and once again, "Anybody else want that? Who else wants orange juice?" Mind you she's not saying this in the kindest tone. She finally gets all four of our orders, repeating the same question after each one, and leaves. We're talking about the movie, so we weren't tracking how long it had been. But when I saw her come out doing something else, I put my timer on just for the sake of proving to my wife that it had been a while. Five minutes later and I know we've at least been there for fifteen or more minutes without drinks still. We came to the agreement to just leave. Now we're at Cracker Barrel and guess what?! She took our drinks and orders without a problem, huff, or puff. Moral of the story, don't go there if you expect good service. read more

When I received my food the order was completely wrong. Ok no big deal. I asked for the check and waited another 15 min for it. I hope this place gets better soon. read more

Unprofessional, disorganized, slow for no reason place of service. Don't waist your time or money. I called to speak with a supervisor and was hung up on twice. I was then told that the reason why I wasn't seated was because they were short staffed. Our first impression told us to turn around and leave. We walked into the restaurant around 3 am and saw one table with customers, and about half the tables in the joint needing bussed. We decided to stay anyway. When someone finally came to seat us, we had to wait for her to bus the table instead of just seating us at an already clean one. We then waited for someone to take our orders. The food took a long time to arrive and most of it was over cooked and not exactly hot. Service was slow and not very friendly...but not nasty. I've been to this location twice now. The second (yesterday) will definitely be my last. On both occasions my wife & I have gotten ill from the food. One thing noticed on both visits, the pancakes come out the color of the table tops...they bear no resemblance to the pancakes on IHOP's commercials or on the tabletop promo displays. It could only be worst if they served charcoal with syrup. On this second visit we specifically asked for light pancakes (as described above) & was told no problem, they're coming out light. They weren't & the server served it anyway. To make matters worse, the wait staff seem to think they are doing us a favor by waiting us. Cold food, not replaced or comped. Coming back to see how you're doing, ain't going to happen. Finding the manager, good luck, he's talking to someone at another table. This will be the last time I eat here. I asked if they use cracked eggs when making scrambled eggs? I was told no. They use what I call bucket o eggs. Total chemicals. The server told me the last time she asked for them to scramble eggs for a customer, the kitchen and manager said no. The server said she would check. She came back and they said no. So, if I hadn't had asked for cracked eggs, they wouldn't have told me anything about the fake processed chemical they use. This causes me to vomit. Not very customer friendly. Beware! read more

I was in the mood for something light and fruity for breakfast. My husband and I decided to check out the Ihop in Pooler. There was only one other table there and 4 waitresses. Our waitress Kristen, I believe, was too focused on what everyone should or should not be doing. I ordered the creped with the cream cheese filling and glazed strawberries. My husband ordered the biscuit and gravy with sausage, hashbrowns and eggs. His biscuits didn't have enough gravy, the sausage was under cooked and his eggs weren't cooked right. There was no flavor to his food He went to put on some salt (which was in a grinder) was wet and stuck together. He ordered coffee with honey, which she forgot, that came in a jelly pack and the cream was clumped and sour. The second bite into my crepes, I bit into onions. YUCK!!! When she saw me spitting it out her reply was "Yeh, they use the same spatula for everything." Sorry but cross contamination is a bad thing. What if I was allergic to onions or the pork, egg or cheese on the omelet or whatever was flipped before my crepe? I had ordered water which never got refilled after the horrible shock. I know this place hasn't been open very long, but they are in need of a lot of improvements!! First of all the coffee was terrible! Plus what's the point of putting a carafe on the table when it holds about 2 1/2 cups and their cups are small! We had chicken fried steak (which was a good sized steak) it was well seasoned, but too salty & over cooked, so were the hash browns! my daughter and my self went to the ihop in pooler ga. (we live close by). we have been there 3 or 4 other times and it was great, this last time we went, we ordered our food, she ordered the Wednesday Adams pancakes, with eggs with cheese and bacon. I ordered my usual 2x2x2 with sausage, when our food comes out, I have on my plate a tablespoon size of scrambled eggs with cheese. and my daughter has a tablespoon size of eggs and cheese. I told the waitress I didn't order eggs with cheese. she said oh sorry ill get you more. so I say ok, I started to eat my pancakes and they were absolutely cold. The sausage was piping hot, so I assumed they was waiting on the sausage to cook while my pancakes got cold, ok so I didn't say anything. still waiting on the eggs. we finished eating all our other food and was ready to leave and finally the waitress appears and says " oh, your eggs should be out in a minute" this was 30 mins after she was supposed to re-order our eggs. I said nevermind, we're ready to go, she gave me the bill, didn't take the eggs off and said, sorry, I still tipped her because I am polite. Absolutely awful. We didn't even get seated. We walked in and there was nobody up front to handle seating. In fact there were no employees to be seen whatsoever. I took my daughter to the bathroom while my husband tried to figure out what was going on. The bathrooms were filthy. There were hair nets laying ON TOP of the trash can. When we came back my husband told me there were only two employees working and they were handling both cooking and serving. The gentlemen that was standing next to us said he has been waiting and hour and a half just to pay his bill. I'd like to make it clear that I DO NOT place all the blame on the employees. Clearly management is lacking if there were only two people scheduled to work on a Friday night in such a busy city. I should also add that the night prior to this one, I placed an online order for some of the "Wednesday webcakes" for my daughter. As long as I've been a customer of this establishment since it has opened, I've never experienced service this terrible! We ordered our food maybe 10 minutes after being seated. My first drink was grapefruit juice, which tasted like something other than that and it had black specks floating around in it. My second drink was cranberry juice which had something white inside the glass like it wasn't cleaned before the drink was poured. The waiter then offered to give me the same drink in a styrofoam cup. Mind you, our food was ordered at least 40 minutes ago now. Needless to say, we could not take anymore of the horrible service so we then spoke to the manager about our issues. She told us the drinks did not have to be purchased. I cannot remember the name of the waitress but I do recall 2 other tables that had issues with her the same time we were there. I do believe this is the worst IHOP I have ever visited! The restaurant itself looks new and clean. However, the food and service was horrible. Our waitress knew no answers to any of our menu questions and acted like she didn't need to know the answers. We ordered and when our food arrived everything was cold but the plates were hot. I am assuming they depend on hot plates to keep the food warm. Well, it doesn't work! You know your pancake is not hot when the butter is hard as a rock and doesn't spread at all. The hash browns were in a perfect square and brown on the top. However, on closer inspection the the potatoes underneath were white and cold. We had to constantly ask for drinks, ketchup, jelly , butter ...everything. Never were we ask if we needed anything. I certainly wish I had read the reviews before we dined there as there are other good choices in pooler. read more

From the outside, it looks like a great IHOP. Once inside though, we faced multiple issues. First was the 5 minute wait to be seated at 4 pm in a nearly empty restaurant. There wasn't even a host/ hostess at the counter! Then there was another awfully long wait for drinks. Food came and was about par for a chain restaurant. Service was mediocre. The very worst part was my daughters having to use a bathroom with a broken lock on the stall door, no hand soap, and zero toilet paper. They had to use paper towels! The bathroom had been said to be serviced every half hour, but in the hour we were there, that apparently hadn't happened, which was funny because it was not busy at all but the servers had plenty of time to laugh and joke in the back. How had this mostly female staff been wiping and washing their hand before serving customers?! This place is a trainwreck and I won't be going back. Trifling. read more

along with my youngest son i took my middle son there for his birthday breakfast...it was jammed, and yet we were and served in a very reasonable amount of time...our waitress listened to our order and got everything just right...a task, as we were very specific about how each of us wanted our breakfast cooked....when we needed something the other wait staff gave us service even though they werent our waitress...and to top it off they came and sang him happy birthday totally embarrassing him...YEAH!!~...which he enjoyed despite his protestations...I WILL be back...with my sons or others, thats for sure read more

Eggs had been previously scrambled and put under a heat lamp. Restaurant was clean, though, and service good. Would not return, however.

7:20 on a Thursday night and the place was almost empty, (hint, hint) took 20 minutes to get mozzarella sticks, 3 out of our table of 5 got their food after about 45 minutes total waiting, the other 2 got their food 15 minutes later, everyone else was finished eating. I was the last one to get my plate, and the seldom seen waitress just dropped it off without saying a word as she went by. We had to ask mgmt for refills. We saw a family of 6 sit down and then leave after 20 minutes of not even being spoken to. The tables around us hadn't been bussed, and we had to go get our own silverware, napkins, ketchup, etc etc. I stood by the register for 5 minutes without a soul to pay, so I called them on the phone , hoping the loudly ringing phone would bring someone, but even that didn't work. Finally got the bill, FULL PRICED, without even an apology for anything. Looks like most reviews for this IHOP are the same. Slow, uncaring service, barely average food, not clean, not organized. Someone please get corporate involved and get new ownership so Pooler can have a great IHOP. read more

one of the worst experiences i ever had at a breakfast establishment. horrible from the time i walked in the door to the time i was leaving. never asked if i needed high hair for my toddler. the childs menu or crayons were not given. waitress walked up to say what do you want- nothing was written down to say the least it was wrong coming out. chicken sandwich was not available after 15 minutes of waiting. then appetizer came out with with half of the cold food. the pancake was so cold the top half peeled off... 20 minutes later the 2 burgers arrived with no side on one. never received that. no refills on coffee or soda were offered even after they were requested. needless to say both the sand which that was not avail and my side were on the bill for me to pay for. after speaking with a manager to have my bill adjusted i was offered take home crayons. read more

I was very disappointed. My sister and I went there on a Tuesday night. Not busy at all. We waited to be seated. 2 people at the register. We waited yo be seated, finally I,asjed eas we supoose to seat ourselves. They said no , we will seat you after we stood there over 5 minutes. They seated us. A total of 5 families there. So not busy at all. We ordered. I got sweet tea, ordered unsweet. My sister ordered toast , never got it. Went to leave , we couldn't because a elderly lady fell outside the door and was hurt. The manager on duty was clueless on what to do. The waitress told her she had to do an incident report. What a clueless bunch of people. I don't know whose running this place but as a restaurant manager , I couldn't believe the bad service and lack of knowledge the manager had. Restaurant was dirty, tables floors and restaurant. We come here every Saturday morning. The manager, Eddie, is friendly and attentive and cares about his customers. We always ask for changes from what is exactly in the menu and even when not perfectly done -- they try and ask how they did. Hesitate to say our favorite waitress as others will ask for her too but Netra is friendly and efficient and can get the job done!! read more

Ihop is so good and affordable i really recommend the chicken and waffles the staff is very nice and concern for the costumers experience at the restaurant. Omg. Not even deserving of one star on Google review and I'm willing to go live on the news with this incident. My name is Dr. Kris Falcon and I've a local marriage, family, and pediatric psychotherapist in Pooler, Georgia. Horrible and humiliating experience today with my family at the local 24 hour IHOP in Pooler, Georgia. After a 45 minute wait in a packed IHOP that we anticipated a wait, me, my husband, and family, one who is disabled and a Diabetic in need of taking his meds with food, who were visiting my house here in Pooler GA from North Carolina went to the 24 hour IHOP in Pooler GA. Our waitress Janee came took our drink order and disappeared for about 20 minutes or more. Our table and three other tables shared the same waitress and we were all complaining. It's Valentines day and yes it was busy, but poor service still isn't justified. We asked another waitress to find our waitress and the manager. When Janee reappeared she stopped at the table ahead of ours and apologized to them for the wait, but when she got to our table she slammed our drinks on the table and splashed my husband's cranberry juice and walked away. Appalled is an understatement! And what's worse is the manager, Andy, literally was right next to her when it happened and just cleaned it up. He then asked what was wrong, of course we're a bit pissed at this point and explained our service being horrible and Janee's attitude towards us and that we'd like a new waitress. We're assigned a new waitress, but Janee kept walking by and rolling her eyes at my family. Then I ask our new waitress if this particular IHOP is privately owned or corporate. She said it was corporately owned. She offered a comment card. I said no I'd prefer to call corporate and speak with someone there. About 5 minutes later the manager, I believe his badge said Andy, appears and asks me if i took a picture of the waitress. What the heck was he talking about??? I said no but if i did its my phone, and I had my phone Googling IHOP corporation's information. He said there's a policy about taking pictures of waitresses. I informed him again I didn't take a picture of any waitress, but where's a policy about it, I'd like to see it. He then asked if I called corporate ( which is the point of it all obviously), I said as informed our new waitress I am going to call corporate. He said we could've just spoke with him and not call corporate office and began arguing with me saying every time I come there its a problem. I was embarrassed and so was my visiting family. I said excuse me I've only been here a few times without any problem every and he's mistaken; and I'm new to Georgia only being here a few months and I can't believe how he's speaking to me. He said we have the right to refuse service to you and you all have to leave, you're a problem and we're busy. He was yelling and loud, patrons at other tables were staring at us. I asked for his name confirmation, he again yelled at me and my family saying we have to leave now. My disabled brother had no food and he couldn't take his meds for his epileptic seizures, diabetes, and high blood pressure; and to make matters even worse, my 4 year old nephew began crying saying he wanted sausage and pancakes. I was again embarrassed and now heart broken by my crying nephew who's just a baby and hungry. So after wasting over an hour at this restaurant and being humiliated we left and we drove to another IHOP. This was how we spent our Valentines Sunday morning before my family made a hour drive back to North Carolina after visiting me. read more
