I love their pancakes, I've tried a bunch of them! However every time I go I get sick ( nauseous & very painful tummy ). I don't know what in their pancakes make me sick but it does. Is it dairy ? Gluten ? No idea cause I'm not sensitive to any of those usually. This is the reason why I don't give 5 stars. However, I went there with friends around midnight and left at 2 am and I want to congratulate the waiters there, they do their best even if we were obnoxious, so sorry about that but thanks for the good food ;) read more

Not sure what is going on with IHOP in Prescott Valley. Been going for years and have a favorite server, Boots. It started going down hill a few years ago. Then last year it was getting better, staff was better, food improved, everyone seemed happy and that made the experience better. This past month it is worse than ever. Food is slow, cold and not even eatable. Happiness is gone. When i I asked a young dark hair manager what happened in the past month she said the GM left and no one knows what to do. Havent been to an I Hop in many years. New to Prescott Valley and decided to give it another chance,. 1 PM on a Wednesday. No one in there! Should have been a red flag? Ordered Eggs Benedict, Not bad, but ham was cut too thick. Hard to chew. A few hash browns accompanied the eggs. Eggs cooked properly and hollandaise was okay. $16.00! Ordered a diet pepsi and this was $4.00 for an average sized glass and NO offer of a refill. I can understand why no one was in there. I sure won't go back! This IHOP is a complete joke first if you are willing to wait 45 minutes after then come here after ordering. Next after 45 minutes waiting patiently the waitress made a simple mistake and gave us the wrong eggs so we asked her nicely to remake the eggs she had the balls to though a nasty comment and turned away so both of us got up and said it's time to leave I got the check and she had tried to charge us for the food that we did get and all we got after 45 minutes was 1 side salad and two drinks that I was trying to pay for if I had a suggestion for this company is to fire her because this waitress doesn't have people skill not one bit but hey at least the manager was understanding and somewhat nice oh I forgot to mention when you buy food at this location there one excuse was everything they make is frozen and that's why it takes 45 minutes to receive a order that's what the waitress told us read more

I came in to have breakfast before going to an appointment. Everything was fine until I noticed that the coffee pot that I was served had obviously not washed in some time. Not can you see the coffee residue on the pot. But the old coffee buildup along the rim at the top. When I brought it up to the manager. She became defensive and insisted that the coffee pots are cleaned on a daily basis. Then provided a different pot. Never apologizing for the "possible" error. read more

Me and my husband are here from Florida. We, along with a large group from The Potters House came in on Monday night and Amber was the only server in the restaurant. I remember her name because not only is it the same as mine, but she was AMAZING! All together, there were about 20 of us, and the rest of the restaurant was packed. She was efficient, sweet, incredibly funny and handled the whole place with ease! That girl didn't break a sweat! We overheard a table start to complain and get upset at her because they wanted more coffee, and within seconds, she had them laughing and smiling and happy! Our orders came out hot and just how we ordered them, drinks stayed full as did the rest of her tables she had! We will be coming back again this week, and we really hope to get her again! At one point, she had to help the cook out with how to prepare a couple dishes, and I only know that because we could see them from our seat. She remained calm and nice through that ordeal, and the food still managed to go to it's table on time! You have a real gem there, and I applaud her and the restaurant! I won't go to IHOp for dinner every again. I had better luck at breakfast. Manager was cooking and trying to run the restaurant. Poor guy. Worst service Worst food I realize they are short staff but they should have prepared for the weekend. Also short supply on straws. Although IHOP is the same all over, and that's the draw and assurance for customers, service can really hurt the business and the bottom line. With all you can eat pancakes and dining areas not full by any means, why must one wait fifteen to twenty minutes to complete your split decision order! Non-attentive service from the wait staff! If 1 is the lowest start I can give than 1 it is. We went to this location several times and every time there's been the same older gentleman working in the mornings for breakfast time and he always says he's short handed and there behind, but there was only maybe 3 to 4 families there and he was running around sweating and seemed very upset.Our food was cold it was unappetizing, and it was not worth the bill that we paid for it. You would thing a Restaurant named International House of Pancakes would have the best pancakes, yet they are far from it. The best Buttermilk pancakes would be at Cracker Barrel. The food here sucks and the service is always so weird and unfriendly. Came in today with my baby and the server almost instantly seemed like she had a problem with me, didn't take my drink order for ten minutes and acted annoyed when I wanted to put my order in with the drinks. Didn't bring me the drinks for another 20 minutes. Didn't bring me the food for another 40. Save your money or go to Denny's or somewhere local. read more

The pros (just to be fair): our order was 98% correct. The eggs on both orders were perfect. The cons: Had to scavenge silverware from another table. Not only was our server obnoxious, and just barely adequate... I suspect this IHOP is not a drug-free workplace. And as for this IHOB crap. Please, please- stick to what you know. It was absolutely horrible. I wanted to vomit and go eat again somewhere else to get the taste out of my mouth. The hash browns came out and she said who wants the extra crispy? It was burnt and hard not extra crispy. We didn't even ask for extra crispy. She acted like, yay look at this surprise. The other two hash browns were soggy and under cooked. So gross and greasy. We got sausage links instead of patties like we asked for. She said that is all they ordered and had to offer. But didn't tell us that when we ordered. The links were overcooked. She gave us only 2 slices of toast when we asked for 4 but she said oh thought you wanted 4 pieces and did not fix it. I felt so sick after eating the soggy gross food. Never refilled coffee, which I needed to get the food down. We should have left and not try to finish our food. We will never be back. Oh and the place was dead no people and a few dirty tables. This has become our go to place to order from during COVID. We've always loved IHOP. They have surprisingly good burgers. I love the Cowboy and my son always get the Big Brunch burger that has had brown and egg on it, I still love their breakfasts and have enjoyed their seasonal pancakes. French toast is awesome. Some the bottom of the burger has been a little soggy since the lettuce and tomato there. And a few times it's arrived cooler than we'd line, but it's deliver l, so it happens. First, I will say the waiter was wonderful and tried his best to accommodate us. With that being said the food was horrible! The chicken tenders were way over cooked and the fries covered in salt. Mom's turkey was served dry with no gravy. Served it that way rather than telling us there was no gravy available. Was like eating jerky.. They replaced it with a cheeseburger and more oversalted fries. Burger had no flavor.. we gave up eating and requested a partial refund. Someone came back from the kitchen with the waiter and said nothing but just unhappily stared at us making my mother feel very uncomfortable. Totally uncalled for. I regret posting unfavorable reviews; I give 2 stars for staff showing up. We were seated promptly but seemed a long wait for coffee and water with only 3 other tables occupied; smallest coffee cup ever! We had to ask twice for more napkins and coffee but the food was hot and tasty. The problem was in full view of the dining room a staff changed an overflowing garbage bag from a filthy trash can and then placed the 2nd filthy trash can on the counter right next to the coffee pot. I went to IHOP today with a friend for breakfast. We live in Prescott but decided to drive down. Everything started out well. Seated immediately. Waitress was friendly. Then we got our orders.What happened to the portion sizes. The 2 pieces of bacon was one slice cut in half and the hashbrowns were maybe 2 tablespoons full. They gave my friend a small pot of coffee but I only received a single glass of tea and the glass was even small. My over medium eggs were over hard. Not impressed. I've eaten at several I-Hop's but this location is not being managed very well. It literally took 30 minutes to get our food and a few of the dishes must have sat too long because it was cold. We gave IHOP a try as all other restaurants in the area had along wait. We arrived about 6pm on a Friday. We were very pleased. Several workers greeted us as we walked in, servers, manager, even the cook! We were seated right away and shortly thereafter were served our drinks. Our meal was delivered within 15 minutes and was served hot and tasty. Pamela, our server, came by several times checking on our needs. Ordered curbside from here today wasn't busy no other customers around, I received a completely plain stone cold burger as well as a soggy omelet with only onions and pepper none of the other fajita omelet ingredients. Tonight was the last time I think I will be going to this IHOP. Tonight me and my roommate dinned in and had Amber W., as our server. She was slow as can be. Drinks came quickly, but that was it. After that bringing soup and salads were slow, as well as the refills for us. The food, cooked by Nate was really slow. Oh and speaking of salads, our server pushed down the salad into the bowl with her bare hands. When she brought the salad, I quickly said" I changed my mind, I would like the soup instead". Well that was a bad idea too, because she slid the bacon that Nate gave her off into the bowl of soup with her bare hands too. Nate, from observation had an attitude and threw plates at her. Let's talk about the food Nate prepared with only a glove on his right hand. Little or no turkey, avocado, or bacon in a turkey, avocado, bacon wrap. A Patty Melt sandwich with no dressing cooked to death and dry. Onions not even caramelized. He cooked a to go sandwich for us that was sitting dying in the window for over 30 minutes!When my roommate brought to Amber's attention that she should of used gloves, her excuse was that she wasn't trained to. I am sorry, but in the state of Arizona you are required by the health department to get a food handlers certificate to work in any restaurant, grocery store, or any establishment that prepares food. In this course it teaches you how to properly handle cooked and raw foods. BS on you! It's the responsibility of the server or cook to make sure he/she is handling food correctly, and the responsibility of the establishment to make sure all health codes are met. read more
