IHOP, Mira Mesa Ca

Aloha ohana! I stopped into IHOP to take advantage of their free Red, White and Blue breakfast combo meal for Veteran's Day. It was delicious and filling. The pancakes were fluffy and topped with blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream. The meal included two eggs, hash browns bacon and sausage. A lot of veterans were here today to celebrate and take advantage of the offer. It was good to see my fellow vets enjoying breakfast together. Thank you IHOP for recognizing veterans and active duty military personnel on this special day.

Spinach & Mushroom Omelette

Came here on a Saturday for brunch. This place has plenty of parking. I haven't been to IHOP in a long time but mom wanted to go here. Mom ordered the spinach omelette. It was pretty decent. I ordered breakfast sample. A slice of bacon, sausage, ham, and eggs over easy. Eggs were way over easy. Also, had the tres Leches pancake but it needed more sauce. Service was great though.

2/09/24. Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity French Toast with caramelized apples ($11): huge, crispy, and a sweet treat, 4/5 stars!

I typically enjoy the food here; however, this last run was unsuccessful. 11/24/2024. Country fried steak entrée ($15.99): this was a bit dry. The gravy somewhat helped, but overall, this was an unsatisfying dish, 2.5/5 stars. Fries: fried crispy yet tender inside, 3.5/5 stars. Pancakes: these were dry, as they crumbled once you cut into it and they were bland, 2/5 stars. This is the first time that I had a subpar experience at this location.

Great service by Ernesto! I ordered sampler plate. It was super good just what I wanted. The 2x2x2 came as ordered also. Quick service good prices. I like the SIMPLY ketchup that is served also No artificial sweeteners. Thanks Ernesto!

I love grabbing breakfast here with family. The servers are always so nice and the food comes out fast. If you want a quick bite, IHOP is the perfect place to go.

I haven't been to ihop in years. The wait wasn't long at all. Our waitress was so nice! Our entrees were delicious! They have a kids menu. There is plenty of parking in the lot. We will be back for sure. Q

I haven't eaten here in god knows how many years and now I remember why. My coworkers ordered a whole catering amount of food for us one day and it just wasn't good. My food was literally dripping in oil/grease. The bacon wasn't crispy at all, the eggs were bland and the pancakes were incredibly sweet even before any syrup was added to it. I don't know how people can eat this kind of food all the time. It doesn't even taste good in my opinion and it was pricier than I thought it would be for the amount of food we got. We got a decent amount of pancakes and waffles, but there was barely any sausage and bacon included. I honestly felt gross after eating from here.

Supposedly gluten free/friendly pancakes. NOT gluten free or friendly!

The gluten-free pancakes were NOT gluten free! I asked 3 times before I ate them. As soon as I ate them, my stomach started cramping up and l was in pain! I've been to many other IHOPs and had their gluten free pancakes without a problem: it hasn't been a problem. That's why I go to IHOP! But here, it was a problem! I've been to three different locations in San Diego, and one in Florida. But this location is passing off GLUTEN pancakes as gluten free or gluten friendly. They are going to kill someone!

I don't know where to start. This is based on this location. The service was nice but beyond slow. It was empty so I'm not sure why our service was so slow. There was maybe one or two other families eating in. The food was alright. Nothing great. I feel like the quality has gotten way worse from when I was younger. The ambiance was clean but I also felt like I was in a abandon ihop. It was hard to find a server or anyone to help us. This location made me want to stick with Dennys.

As you enter.

Andrew, one of the assistants, always goes above and beyond and makes the experience even better every time we visit. We usually come with our two kids, and both they and we love it here. The ambiance is beautiful and relaxed, which makes it perfect for a family meal. Highly recommend the pizzas, the burger is solid, and the fried chicken is really interesting with a lemon zest sauce that works surprisingly well. The French onion is also excellent. We sat inside which I prefer to outside as the decorations are sharper and seating is cleaning and comfier. Lots of companies come here for their after work happy-hours so it's always very lively and bustling after work. Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the Gravity Burger which is a bacon cheeseburger and came with a choice of fries or salad. I was craving a fruity drink and ordered Its Britney Spritz which is an Elderflower based fruity cocktail. The burger was quite good, and I appreciated how crispy the double fried fries were. I would have liked a little more greens in my burger for that fresh crunch but I understood the vision with a very cohesive burger and perhaps more greens would have detracted from the meaty goodness. Towards the end of our evening the heat lamps got extremely hot above our table. Not sure if that was intentional or not to get us to leave but we ended up heading out as it was difficult to focus on our conversation while we were sweating. Overall Gravity Heights is a fun happy hour spot for solid drinks and good food.

Like every respectable San Diego micro-brewery, Ballast Point has a vast variety of beers from light to dark, all delicious in their own way. But what makes Ballast Point way better than the rest, is the fact that they serve really good food here, very reasonable prices. The complete opposite of high priced small portioned foods from a food truck. $18 Fish and Chips...big fresh beer battered fish..better than most! $20 Brazino, pan seared to perfection, the sauces is amazing! This could easily be a $30-50 entree at another restaurant. Wife was very happy! Pizzas and Brussel Spouts are good too. If you and your pals are talking about hitting up a brewery, and you want good beer and REAL food, Ballast Point is your friend!

Thanks for the memories filled with tasty beers and great food Ballast Point Miramar…read more Upon hearing that Ballast Point Brewing Miramar was closing this December, it was only right to go back one last time to enjoy the space and the beers. With the recent sale to Athletic Brewing, Ballast ceased operations for about 2 years now. The San Diego beer landscape has been changing the last couple of years with consumers drinking less beer, choosing non-alcoholic options and preferring canned cocktails. It was a wonderful space with a large walk bar, extensive dining area and tons of high top tables. The only gripe was the parking which was always difficult to find a spot. If you are a fan of Ballast Point, definitely stop by before they close the Miramar location.
