Pretty nice and clean facility. Service was good and fast so I got served quickly. Prices are a bit too high in my opinion for a chain restaurant like this or any other one tbh. And even though I only ordered cinnamon dippers which were 5$ after tax I still feel the other positions are overpriced. Other than that nowhere in the restaurant can you find napkins except the sliver ware it comes in so I had to ask a waitress - she was really nice. I had went to go pickup after my Spanish Mexican grandma ordered the moment I got there a guy named Spencer's he is a white man bald I told him I came to pick up a mobile order and he said "shouldn't you be in school?" And as a guest no one should question I came to eat not to be questioned then he looks at my clothing and says "wearing pjs" but in a weird way which made me feel uncomfortable he wouldn't stop looking at me weirdly I asked for my order but he was just there smirking after he gave me my order which took like 10 minuets he says "don't complain " I will definitely not be going back to this ihop ever again read more

First time I've been to an IHOP in years and I forgot how good their food is. The Santa Maria one was clean and the food was delicious. The omelets are perfection, the way the raw is so thin and rolled up with tons of filling. I got a veggie omelet and it was my breakfast and dinner. Priced not like the old days but definitely worth the money. Service was excellent and fast! Wasn't as crazy about the pancakes and wish I would've got the hash browns. However, my husband enjoyed the pancakes this morning. Funny how an old throwback was still as good as I remembered. read more

Tried the Cheesecake Pancakes, topped with Strawberries and sauce. Two pancakes for $7.49. The pancakes were dry, inside and outside. Cheesecake was minimal. ***Mgr did stop by and told me that they Don't use Butter or Oil to fry the pancakes. The batter is poured onto the griddle and Fried. Have gone to IHop in La Quinta, and never had this happen. Dissapointing. Ambiance: The Kitchen is in the center of Reastaurant , and staff was very noisy. This was at 11:30 am. Food is standard IHop food. I didn't take a picture of their chocolate pancakes but they were delicious! We went around 10am on a Saturday and they seated us right away and had fast service. The restaurant itself looked somewhat full. Would come again. read more

Today we wanted to go to IHOP for the hearty wheat grain pancakes, It's been about 5 years since I last stopped by, today not too many people on Monday at 8:10AM, got a seat quick and the server gave us a great tasting hot pot of coffee. To our surprise the harvest grain pancakes have been eliminated so I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry Crepe Combo with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausages and hash browns. The crepe tasted like a flour tortilla with cream cheese filling and cake icing on the top, the separate blue berries were good. The eggs and sausages were good, the hash browns were dry and chewy. The server was excellent, she deserves a raise! Other then that, if IHOP wants customers to come back, then I suggest bring back the Harvest Wheat Grain pancakes. read more

Morning. Theirs nothing good about it. I woke up starving and craving breakfast. To my surprise, my breakfast felt and tasted like yesterday's cardboard. We went to IHOP this morning for a quick breakfast. Now don't underestimate IHOP our service Stefani was fast to the table to greet us and she helped us navigate the menu to help us find what we had come in for. She got our order and we where chatting and BAMB the food was there! I said wow that was so fast and unexpected! She smiles yes it is fast! We started eating I got French toast scrambled eggs with bacon. I was not liking the bacon. Stefani was right there and got me some sausage instead she was so accommodating and extremely nice about the whole thing! My French toast was huge and my scrambled eggs where good my honey had the omelette with pancakes he enjoyed his food as well. Now for a 12 dollar meal it was pretty good but you add on the speed and the above and beyond service it's worth coming I for.This place was really hoping! Haven't been here in years, mainly because it always looks packed in weekends. We were seated quickly, served attended fast and friendly. We let them know of some butter that had spilled in the floor from a previous client and they cleaned it up ASAP. Santa Maria right off the 101 freeway IHOP is a convenient food break get away from the frequent visited fast food joints you normally would attend... restaurant was clean and staff was very eager to be of asssitance... food was very good And was brought out quicker than I expected. Only mistake in an almost flawless performance was a missing order of pancakes... it was coooooo we were full at the end anyway! All in all we say 8.75 out 10... O yeah! Short and sweet review. Got in and greeted and seated pretty quickly. Restaurant wasn't that busy but instead of seating us in a spaced out booth they sat us next to another family. There are partitions but still, why not space people out if you have room? Waitress was friendly but really seemed like we were being rushed to eat and leave. Probably 5-10 mins after getting our food she brought our check without ever asking if we wanted something else, we didn't ask for the check either she just brought it. After we paid, still eating our food, asking if we needed anything else as if saying "why are you still here". There wasn't a line out the door or anything so not sure why the urgency to get people seated, fed and out the door in 25 mins. Swedish crepes- crepes were too thick and overcooked so they ate hard. The jam was fine but the butter tasted weird. Overall a bad experience and wouldn't come back. read more

When I got here it was very prejudice. I got the strawberry lemonade very good, I also got the classic burrito the bomb. The service was mediocre sort of slow by I was okay with the service. The ambiance was not the best I got put in the room in the back it was very tight spaced but overall not the best. read more

They had me at Bacon! Bacon . Thick pork belly style bacon is now being served here. Yumm. The service was excellent. Happy this place stayed open. Hot coffee and fluffy pancakes. It took 15 minutes to get seated. Not bad for a Sunday morning. read more

Don't usually leave reviews unless the restaurant was superbly bad. The salmon was tiny ! No lore then 2oz very upset I didn't get a picture. The tenders my nephew also very tiny and they were also burned. It only gets worse, they forgot my mashed potatoes and once I asked about they didn't get it to me after I was done. Plain mashed potatoes yum! Just to top things off there was a chocolate chip in my side salad. Definitely never coming here. read more

What a pleasant surprise this was today for breakfast! Food was excellent and the service was outstanding and couldn't have been better. I ordered the senior sampler breakfast and got just enough for me, with tastes of different things, like pancake, egg, bacon, sausage, ham and potatoes, all in single amounts. Don't think we've ever had such great service anywhere else in a long, long time! Server was always attentive to our needs and was right there, ready and willing to help. I LOVE IHOP! There pancakes are very good and there eggs and bacon. They have this special minion menu for the new movie that just came out and it has the most tasty stuff on it. The minion menu has this banana milkshake that is so amazing every one was buying one! There was also these little mini donuts that had Cinnamon on them! But also there other food is also delicious! There toast is very good and I recommend that you get some. They have very good coffee and the best hot chocolate. If your looking for a tasty breakfast place to go come to IHOP! read more

There are two places that I refuse to sit: 1). Opposite the bathrooms on a jet 2). Facing the "bussing" station in a restaurant. I was led to the "back of the bus" and given the seat of dishonor. The server said that this was the only available seat so I left. Would you eat facing this? read more

Upon entering, I asked Jose if we could order from the Happy Hour menu. It was 1:50, he stated he would have to go ask. He came back and stated that we would have to wait until 2 to order the Happy Hour specials. I agreed to wait with my two disabled people I was with. Then, at 2, Jose came back and stated the manager, Miguel stated that the Happy Hour specials weren't available anymore at the Santa Maria IHOP. After eating, when paying the Bill, I stated to Vanessa that was truly not good customer service to say to a customer they could have specials, make them wait over 10 minutes to order, only to tell them they couldn't have the specials after all. She stated, yeah that ended a month ago and our manager said no. Not sure I will return to this IHOP again after this experience. read more

My boyfriend and I went in 15 minutes before they closed to order to go. We had been organizing and packing literally all day because we're currently moving. It was late, we were exhausted, and wanted pancakes soooo bad! The gentleman working was so polite, his name was LUIS. He was very patient yet busy busting his ass at the same time wrapping up the evening. He took our to go order, made us the best hot chocolate I may have ever had in my life, checked in with us while we waited, and was very attentive even though we weren't seated and eating there. I was the only one there and the staff wasn't very friendly, she wasn't rude but not engaging. The scone tasted old and i would not recommend. The protein yogurt bowl was delicious but so pricey IMO. My vanilla oat latte was fine. I didnt love it but i didn't hate it. I may come back once more to try the coffee again but noting here grabbed me to come back again and again.

Tonight was different...the meals all came out together and were served very properly. The food was as they say...finger lickin food...the portion size was generous and the wait staff as good if not better than most. They were gracious and very attentive. In fact the food and service was so good that we asked if the chef could come out...he did...and we all gave him a standing ovation. The steak came out absolutely perfect, pink, almost purple inside, and an amazing crust on the outside - maybe the best Rib-eye I've ever had! We were told to leave after an hour because others needed to be seated - first time for that, but I can understand. Love this place - best in Santa Maria area!

Of course we didn't but it seems that if you want to sit in the back table area, you have to have a reservation. Since we didn't, she asked if we wanted to seat at the bar where it's first come, first serve. Since we were just the second couple who entered when they opened, we had no choice but to sit at the "no reservation" area. That area right in front of the entrance is super dark, no lighting and the only true light is when the door opens. Make sure you bring your phone with you since I saw several peeps who came after us and had to seat at the bar area have to use their phones flashlight to see the menu! For the most part, the staff was pretty good. 5 stars So salsa and pickles are complimentary before your order if you wanted to have the salsa with the packaged breadsticks on the table. My wife actually enjoyed them but for sure she was hungry before we came. I ordered the 8 oz Spencer ribeye - medium with bake potato and salad with bleu cheese . 4 stars- why? My ribeye was over cooked and had little pink. Outer portion of the steak was cooked too much and the center did have some pink. My wife had the 8 oz New York steak Medium also, but hers was under cooked and more a medium rare because of the thick cut. But yah, other than both steaks not properly cooked. The meal overall was good. Price is on the high end compared to other steak places but to me that's fine since it was a complete meal and not one where you have to order the sides separately. Would I go again? For sure and would recommend others to try. Waitress says there is no advertising done and it's all word of mouth.

I ordered breakfast and a tri-tip sandwich to go (who doesn't order tri-tip when in Santa Maria??) Breakfast was good, but I was disappointed at the tri-tip sandwich. Not wild about the potato salad either. Probably won't come here again.
