My husband and I go through Sherman about once a month and look forward to stopping here for breakfast. We love this IHOP. It's big. Clean , great service, good food. The servers are the best we've ever had at any IHOP we've been too. I use their app for the rewards and to pay my bill, being not too familiar with it, the servers have always been helpful. While we waited forever and ever to get our food, the poor server was running his legs off while two females were sitting over there, just wrapping up silverware and ignoring how much this waiter was covered up. The server was very kind and he even took my food back, which was lousy and got me some different food. Plus people that came in after us got served and were leaving before we even got our food. Service is the worst here I came here early in the morning at 3 am we were seated immediately and when our server comes she makes small remarks about things that were unnecessary that it made her look like she had an ugly attitude or could've been racist because she did not like it when my party of 3 would talk Spanish. It is just an assumption but I wouldn't doubt it because she did it all night and she would tell other employees things about us as well as trying to listen in on a conversation. The other guy on the picture would not stop staring at the rest of my party so much that I even got a chance to take multiple pictures of him staring awkwardly. There is something wrong with people when they go out of their way to bother others and give hard times is usually comes from misery. I hop I hope you choose better employees you need a strong team who feel like real people not people who try to antagonize. I believe the server was also manager or just a server. My family and I came in hoping to enjoy a warm meal after a long day at the casinos. We arrived around 12:45 and were seated promptly with waters brought to our table. However, we had to flag someone down just to place our food order. After placing our order, we waited patiently. In the meantime, a party of five arrived and ordered, followed by a party of eight. Neither our table nor the other group who arrived after us had received any food at this point. To our surprise, once the party of eight received their drinks, they were able to order immediately. Within about 10 minutes, they received their appetizers and then their main dishes shortly after--while we were still sitting there with nothing. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing to see guests who arrived after us being served before us. We were the first large party to arrive, and yet we were completely overlooked. It felt very unfair, and understandably, both our table and the other waiting party got up and left. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I will not be returning to this location, and I hope other customers receive better service than we did. read more

The IHop in Sherman was ok. I did not like the Benedict eggs. The poached eggs were hard broiled. The English muffin was rubbery and the hollandaise sauce was awful. All and all I would not recommend eating this. The service was ok, the restaurant is older and feels more like a diner than an IHop. Ate dinner here (well, I had breakfast for dinner) with my daughter who was 9 months pregnant, my son-in-law, and my 16 month old granddaughter. We were greeted and seated immediately. The hostess sat us at a nice, long table so my granddaughter would have plenty of room for her food and her colouring. =) Our server was exceptional. So very sweet. She paid extra special attention to my granddaughter, and that was very much appreciated. She also got all orders perfect and constantly kept our drinks refilled. As I mentioned above, I had breakfast which was 2 crepes with strawberries, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and hash browns. My very pregnant daughter snagged my hash browns, but I was find with that.... a pregnant woman has to eat, right?! =) My food came piping hot and was cooked to perfection. My granddaughter had the chicken strips and fries. She was too young to comment on them, but gathering at how fast she ate them, they must have been good. Definitely no complaints from her! Haha! I can't recall what my daughter and son-in-law order, but neither of them had any complaints about their food. The restaurant was very clean and overall it was a pleasant experience. We had a very nice family dinner. The last before my daughter went into labour just 4 days later. The newest edition was born on December 6th and I have a new grandson! It took forever for our drinks. Then it took about 20 minutes to order. Now the food took awhile but I understand if the kitchen was short staffed but there were so many other servers around. When I had asked for a refill on my coffee she had a smart little comment to say "Yeah... I was about to do that." Horrible. Went for dinner on Saturday, February 28, 2024. The temperature in the restaurant was either upper fifties or lower sixties. Wasn't my imagination because a solid 85%-90% of people with jackets or coats kept them on. We got our water and coffee quickly and placed our order within 10 minutes of arrival. So far, so good. Then things went haywire. After waiting 30 minutes or slightly longer a different waiter stopped at the table and asked if we had been helped. We told him yes, but it been quite some time since then. Our original waiter came by a couple minutes later and said he was sorry it was taking so long. He said he thought the omelette was ready and he was waiting on my fish /fries order. He brought the omelette which wasn't what the wife ordered after looking at it. She accepted it and began eating it since now the wait time was approximately 40 minutes. The omelette was overcooked and appeared to have been under a heat lamp for a long period of time. The waiter came back and said the cooks overlooked the fish/fries order and had just started it. It was another approximately 20 minutes before my fish dinner showed up. Of course, at least it hot!! We have eaten here 5-6 times a year and never had this type of service before. A very welcome surprise!! We stopped in this morning for breakfast before going to sign for our new home! Everything was amazing here! We were seated very fast even though it was packed in there! Our food was top notched! And, our server, Sharon T, was totally awesome!!! She seemed to know just when to check on us! We had plenty of coffee and our food was brought to us hot and fresh!! Stopped for brunch. IHOP is excellent in that capacity. Sometimes I don't want breakfast items for breakfast and prefer to have something more suited to lunch or dinner. IHOP has the full range of menu items all day. This location was not one of my better experiences. The service was mostly good, but server didn't check on us and drinks weren't refilled. Other than that, the food came quickly and was very tasty. I had the double decker BLT thus morning and I was surprised at how good it was. Bacon was crisp and flavorful, mayo was done just right, and the tomatoes were ripe and juicy. Great sandwich! The hub got the Denver Omelette and it was ginormous!! It was more than he could finish and it was also very yummy and loaded with everything but the kitchen sink! This location lost a star because the bathrooms were dirty and gross. They were very busy, but a dirty bathroom is often representative of kitchen cleanliness, so it really bothers me when I see one in that condition. We have been here twice before and it was fine, but today is unacceptable. We came in and were seated in the back. It was kind of cold and the fan is directly above our head. Everything is ok until when one of the girls started feeling unwell. We asked to switch seats to avoid the a/c fan. The lady said we could anywhere in the restaurant and specifically asked us to bring our water and utensils with a very rude tone and language. We brought our unused utensils and followed her to the other side of the restaurant. Every communication from that point was carried with rude, shortened and annoyed tone that we felt we were an inconvenience here. The food came out and the sirloin tips were burned (see photo). They did not bring our side of toast that we ordered. Until when we asked for it, the waitress said it was not on the ticket. I don't blame her because she just took us over from the other waiter. He came back and admitted the order was messed up. Water and drinks have never been asked for refills. The rude lady decided to point at each of us and asked what our drinks were to bring out another drink after she asked "where are y'all drinks?" We lost appetite and felt unwanted and unwelcome over here. The last two visits with Lisa and Kyler were just so much better. I should have asked Kyler to be with us when we saw him at the front. Not sure if we want to come back since the rude lady seem like the manager of the night. She did not wear uniform. P/S: read some previous reviews and seemed like the manager had problems with the people of color. This is our second time that my family and i have come here. We had to wait 40 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us, and the another 30 min. For them to take our order, and another 45min for them to bring our food. Then food came cold, not cook right, the order was wrong. No help in the place. Only 4 workers on the food. They need a good night staff. The night cooks are a joke. They need to learn to follow the order. The manager running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. We never got a refill on our drinks. People at the door waiting to be seated. They wait so long, then they turn and leave. They need to hire some of there old workers back that want to work at night. I had not been to the IHOP in some time, When I first walked in I noticed they had redecorated and were now all non smoking. This was the only good thing about the trip. We were seated and there were only about 4 other tables. This should of been a sign as it was 6 pm (dinner time). I'm pretty certain the waiter Brad was high but I don't care as long as he can do his job. Drinks came out quick and he got our order. As we were ordering I was texting so I know how long it took to order and get our appetizer minutes! When the server brought out our appetizer he brought no plates! We had 5 people, 3 of which were kids, plates are a must when you bring food. When I asked for plates he looked confused but brought them anyway, EVERY single plate was chipped! Is it so hard to have some non broken plates. TWO minutes after we got our appetizer our food was brought to the table. Shouldn't there had been some space between the two? The food was a disappointment. I asked for my bacon NOT to be crispy and they brought out extra crispy. Mine and my three daughter items (breakfast) were cold! The pancakes were not hot enough to melt butter and neither was the french toast . My girls ate theirs because they are kids and they don't care. I had to send my entire plate back to be remade., It seemed as if they started cooking my husbands fish at the same time as out pancakes because his was the only one that was hot. When I spoke with the manager she augured it was the only order up and he ran it asap. That didn't change the fact that it was cold!!! Those were the main problems. My brother and sister-in-law met my mom here for breakfast bright and early before we went to her house in Denison to work in her yard. This location is busy , efficient, friendly and has good service and good food. I had a crepe with my bacon and eggs and it was all good. The cheese crepe - or it might have been a blintz- was good and not so sweet. I'm not fond of sweets for breakfast and prefer something a little more substantial than sugar to start my day Sometimes my brother and S-I-L share a meal but not here!
