This is my son's favorite restaurant so we came here for his 18th bday breakfast . Our food was good, service was good, it was really busy weekend so our wait was about 45 mins but worth it. The coffee was great and the hot chocolate! My kids always enjoy IHOP. I liked this location. read more

We went out for breakfast but most of the restaurants were closed on labor da. So I came to IHOP after a long absence. The store was half full with customers. We sat down and ordered coffee first. I ordered new breakfast biscuit sandwich with a side for original pancake, usually includes of coffee or soda for $9. My hubby ordered new, spicy poblano eggs benedict with a side for fruit $14.79 Good service and friendly IHOP staff!!! Thank you for the service of Labor day. I love breakfast foods in general and when I'm too lazy to make it at home this specific location is my go to, it's never too busy when I go which is a plus for me. This IHOP is a great location. I have been to several in the area, but this is the best one in my experience. The service at this IHOP is always quick, efficient, and top notch. The servers are always attentive to my needs and get things in a quick manner. This is my main IHOP that I go to. The vibe is very casual, but this is a larger restaurant compared to some in the area. I love the food. As a vegetarian, I am very grateful for the impossible plant based patties. They are absolutely delicious! I also enjoy the biscuits and gravy and the Mexican tres leches pancakes and scrambled eggs. They are all full of great flavors and taste. They also have great dinner options, but not that many of their dinner options are vegetarian. Overall, I recommend this IHOP. I always enjoy going here and will continue to do so. read more

Easy to say amost none of us go here for their dinner. But the spouse and I thought we'd give it a try, being breakfast regulars. The service was as stand-out spectacular as always. Let me tell you no grass grows under this staff. They have a fun new menu based off of the Wonka movie (an insanely sugary menu but super cool anyway; love the purple icing). I got the fish and fries and was underwhelmed by the fish; however, we both loved the fries (my spouse claimed they were, gasp, "better than McDonalds." I don't lie, ya'll. Me and my boyfriend visited this IHOP Saturday morning first of all 10 minute wait which wasn't that bad,seatedvery quickly. Alma was our server when I say she is such an amazing person hands-down she got our order right and her energy made us feel very welcomed when we received our food it looked like it was straight out of the ad. The presentation was amazing. Taste was even better, we specifically drove to this location because our Renton experiences have never been the best and I will go to Tukwila every time again and again if service is consistent and Alma is server every time!! read more

A general management accommodated me with a mishap online order during the power outage the week prior. I had ordered for pickup at a location that ended up being closed, and the order was forwarded to another open location the one here in Southcenter but I did not notice on the email. I never end up picking up the order. I spoke with the manager Jessica and she quickly offered to resolve by giving me the order whenever I wanted to come back and get it. She kept my email and provided it to the other manager Domingo. When I called back a week later to cash it in, there was no issue, I went by to pick it up, and it was ready soon as I was there. The service is bad enough. Although I feel everyone should be able to be employed, if you're going to work with the public you need to be able to understand English and communicate back. I shouldn't have to repeat things I have dozen times and then still get it wrong. But the worst is the woman's bathroom. I don't know who owns the property but they need to get off their butts and do something about that horrific sewer problem! The smell is absolutely nauseating The last time I was there, somebody was trying to clean and had the door open. NUMEROUS people moved to the other side of the restaurant. That's inexcusable!! Wouldn't let us use an outlet when half the area was without power. We ordered and the food was fine, and the server was kind and sympathetic, but his supervisor (who did not take the time to come talk to us) wouldn't let him remove the child safety plug to allow access to the outlet. Don't order the bacon. It's just going to be all fat. Not to mention it's the thin, microwavable style. Don't order the pumpkin spice drink either. Sister said she should have just went to Starbucks. Also make sure not one person is missing from your party when your name gets called. Even if you're taking a noisy phone call you better be with the party because they only hold your table for five minutes. Customer service was good, but expect to act as an employee while dining in. Server passed all the plates to my dad one by one which he then had to pass around the table instead of server doing it himself. Not sure why that was a decision the server made. On top of that this lady had you pass the plates to her for her to take away. It ended with the server asking if we need change after my sister paid with cash. She said yes and he pulled the fattest wad of cash out of his apron. By the way, as soon as he seated us he counted his wad of cash in his apron before taking the order of the next table. I'd hate to give a bad review but I tried to contact IHOP to advise of the issues and no response :/ I went there with a group at 2pm - non-peak hours - and service was SLOW! While waiting to be seated, I saw the COVID vaccination sign but no one in our party was asked to provide proof of vaccination despite the county requirements. When we did order it took quite some time to get beverages. I was started getting parched waiting for my water and almost wanted to run to the car to get it myself. Food again was delayed. I ordered potato pancakes and a side of apple sauce. The apple sauce was $4. It was MORE than the pancakes themselves - talk about highway robbery. I had searched the menu and never saw the price point for it but a cup of apple sauce that should cost closer to $0.50 was $4 - ridiculous. The waitress Candy is very rude, disrespectful and disturbing. We've dealt with not one, not two, but three awful experiences because of her. From her complaining LOUDLY about her job and other customers, to her disturbing us when she wasn't even our server and put her hand in the middle of our faces, left a empty coffee pail when we were literally right there and she "accidentally" put it on our table instead of an empty one, disturbs us while we're eating by sneezing directly behind us without covering her mouth. She is very disrespectful and clearly doesn't appreciate her job, she should not be employed here. Ask all her coworkers how they feel about her. read more

I ordered a Belgium waffle with eggs sunny side up well-done turkey bacon and I would say that the delivery was pretty fast it also was very tasty it came with butter and syrup I wish they would've provided some ketchup and the waffle was thick spongy it was filling and I would definitely order this if I was in IHOP but probably if I was craving something simple. I have been here a number of times with my family. On weekend mornings it's crowded, which is to be expected, but I've never had an issue with the service. We also go in the evenings a lot, there aren't nearly as many people as there is in the mornings, which allows for a calm dining experience. The staff is kind, and fair. Hello the only reason why they got two stars was that my friend had a real good meal. I thought it was kind of expensive but he said it wasn't. so yeah he had a sirloin tips and a broccoli. and mac and cheese and he said it was good mac and cheese was a little blah. but anyway and then I had the breakfast burrito with bacon. and it was not that good. so my main complaint was that it was a lot of potatoes and oh and the tortilla was kind of odd. it it seemed like it was a little bit stale or something. cuz as I call weird and you know breaking apart. so I don't know it was weird yeah and they hardly put any tomato on it. and I know they're socked it to me on the bill as far as I know. On a trip went to get food before the plane In 2 mins I came across the rudest server on a Sunday ever. MS had a question and was met with brutal passive aggressive rudeness. I've been so caught up with the glitz and glamour of new Seattle restaurants that I've forgotten to appreciate what's already established. It took one of my favorite local writers to give me a wake up call. A developer changed part of the Southcenter Pkwy landscape and established a strip mall during the 2007/2008 time frame. I have to give my fam credit for introducing me to IHOP and I've been coming to the Southcenter location since then. It may not be a locally owned mom and pop shop but at least the employees are allowed to wear Seahawks gear. The Southcenter location is unique. It's not in a residential neighborhood; it's in the middle of businesses parks and retail stores. Tables turn quick because customers need to get their shopping on or catch a movie at the AMC. I've only visited the Southcenter IHOP on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. This is the best time to come because I feel you get the best servers and service. It's very busy. All tables are taken, people are in the waiting area and people are gathered outside on the patio. This is a good sign. I've been known to walk into restaurants and right back out if I don't see customers during prime hours. I've see customers request to be in a particular server's area because they've come here enough times to build relationships with the employees. I've had a particular server before and I knew I was going to get great service. Also, the food hasn't changed for years which means there are no surprises, unless the cook really botches a chicken fried steak. It hasn't happened yet. read more

In the new development next to Chipotle, this is an above-average IHOP for ambience (ambience, IHOP, what?) I'm not a big American chain breakfast dude, but was wanting atleast a decent meal after night work, so this was the closest thing open early besides all of the Sbux around.
