Sitting at a booth on a Sunday afternoon

Was looking for a breakfast spot nearby and came across this place. It got pretty good reviews so we decided to stop. Wasn't really busy on a middle of a Sunday afternoon. Service was good and seating was readily available. The ambience is really laid-back and the servers were really great attentive. I got the fiery inferno and it wasn't spicy enough for me even though it had fresh jalapeños in it. The hashbrowns were fantastic; nice and crispy.

Solid diner style restaurant to get traditional American breakfast. Eggs cooked properly, bacon crispy, hashbrowns golden browned and pancakes were fluffy. Perfect for family and friends as well as work meet up. Service was excellent.

Countryside Cafe is a finest spot for a breakfast dine in. This place is tucked away from the 405 in the Renton Highlands. Part of a small shopping center. Enough parking near by - sometimes may difficult to find one too. We stopped here while coming back from Tukwila. Decided to stop here once we saw the great reviews for this place. We were welcomed by Karen that day and gave us a nice table. Many breakfast and comfort food options on their menu. Varieties are impressive to be fair. Pretty good options for the kids. Since it was a brunch time, completely skipped the lunch options/ burgers. We ordered couple of Red Waffle specials, Veggie omelette and coffee. Absolutely no wait for the food. It arrived real quick. Omelette came with hash browns on the side; waffle with sausage & scrambled egg. Delicious options. Really enjoyed the food. Service has been outstanding. Karen was really nice and super friendly. They do charge 3% charge if you pay by card. Great experience dining in there nevertheless!

This was our first time trying Countryside Cafe. The restaurant has a cozy diner vibe and was pretty empty on a weekday morning. We seated ourselves and were welcomed by our server immediately. I think our server's name was Karen. She was kind and attentive during our entire visit. She frequently checked in on us, refilled our beverages quickly, and seemed to know several regular customers by name. Service was reasonably quick ( but we were one of only three occupied tables). We ordered coffee, orange juice, country fried steak, and the salmon benedict. The country fried steak was good and similar to other breakfast diners we've had. I have mixed feelings about the Salmon Benedict. The salmon portion was VERY generous and tasty, and I was shocked, as I had expected just a tiny bit. However, the hollandaise was very bland, and the eggs were overcooked. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we appreciated the excellent service. We would be open to returning and trying other dishes.

My family was visiting, we wanted to try breakfast place in Renton. Breakfast should be the same, not really. Food was okay. I ordered big combo breakfast with French toast. My order was okay, eggs were cooked over easy. My brother ordered eggs with a lot bacons. His wife ordered Florentine eggs Benedict, they don't know how to make the order, the spinach supposed to be sautéed. Coffee tasted like instant coffee. Service was slow for weekday. I had stomachache the rest of the day.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and we seated ourselves. I started off with water and coffee. The coffee was fine. I ordered the corned beef with scrambled eggs. It took a while to get our food. We waited for like, 30 minutes? The food itself was pretty good. But nothing super exceptional. Service here kinda sucks. We were never really checked up on and it took us foreverrrr to flag someone down just to pay our bill. It just seemed like the employees don't care. Not sure if I'd come back.

A friend of ours, who is local, recommended this small family run restaurant as a meeting place for breakfast. It is unassuming as you drive up. Located in a strip mall front. It was what I would call the little local dive restaurant as we drove up and parked (parking was easy to do). The interior was cozy, filled with lots of tables which were full. As you walk in the door, don't miss the small board highlighting their specials. We sat at a booth and were offered coffee - yes, of course to a cup of coffee. Each coffee cup is unique and mine was a metal camping cup. It went along well with the quirky vibe. Fun! I ordered the pumpkin pancake specials which were tasty! My husband ordered a plate with an omelette, toast, bacon, potatoes. The clear winner --- the raspberry jam that came with the meals! I believe it was a freezer jam and it was so good, and homemade, that we ordered a jar to go when they said they sold it as well. Now I have to laugh a little that it actually didn't come in a jar, but rather a tall (venti sized) plastic cup with a lid. That's ok because we were able to take some home with us to continue to enjoy. The service - polite, friendly and fun! The waitress interacted with our table and we had a great time. I would definitely keep this on my list for when we are in the Renton area again!

If you're looking for a place to bring family on a weekend morning, Countryside Cafe is where you want to be! the layout of the diner feels comfortable and spacious and the food portions were worthwhile! The service was really quick as well and the servers were very attentive to our needs. Definitely a must on a Saturday morning in Renton!

    Way to thick

Food: This is just a regular old fashioned breakfast spot, but the eggs and hash browns had no seasoning. Pancakes are alright, a little raw and way too thick for the butter knife and fork they give you at the table. Coffee tastes burnt, it's probably been sitting in the pot all day and no refills on the oj :( Service: Our server wasn't helpful and was kinda passive aggressive. Ambiance: This place is cute but not worth it for the food. I feel like it could use a bit help in some areas. the tables and seating is good. I like how nice they are to the regulars but this was our first time here and we didn't get as warm a welcome.

We kicked things off with the truffle popcorn--my go-to starter here. Light, warm, and perfectly kissed with truffle oil. Not greasy, just addictive enough to keep reaching in between sips of wine. Then we ordered the artichoke cheese dip. Warning: it arrives piping hot (our server kindly gave us the heads up). We dug in anyway and immediately learned patience is a virtue here. Once cooled, it's gooey, creamy, and totally worth the wait. And because conversations just kept flowing, we added the meatballs to the table. Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect "something more" to balance the lighter bites. Service was spot-on--attentive enough to make sure we had everything we needed but never intrusive. I also love how this spot works for so many moods: girls' night, solo bar hangs, or even patio time with pups. Overall: cozy, versatile, and always a solid pick when you want to sip, snack, and chat the night away.

The staff was nice and I understand it's hard to manage such a big group but they tried hard.

At just before 8:00 the Karaoke dude who runs it on Tuesdays race-walked past the tv right in front of us and SLAPPED it to face the other way - apparently so those on stage doing karaoke can see the lyrics. No words to us like "hey there - just to let you know we use this for karaoke so I'll need to shift the direction of the screen." It was like a hit and run move, and we were speechless. We asked about them using a different screen but not possible so we shifted our table to face the other screens further away. Tip for the restaurant: This is World Cup soccer - it's once every 4 years and many frequent your place to watch in community. This karaoke guy was such a rude jerk to the manager and to us, and it was the cringiest thing to try to watch a big game with karaoke BLARING out of the speakers. He's a true word class a$$ who was yelling at her (manager) and us when all he had to do was be a decent human and explain. I would NEVER go on Tuesday if you don't plan to marinate in the karaoke crowd - you will be in hell!!! The food was just ok, and had it not been for this terrible guy and the hideously loud speakers - we would have had a much better time - but would not have chosen this spot to watch a game, heaven forbid on a Tuesday!

No one ever came to get us or update us. The food itself was actually pretty good. There was a solid variety, and several of the dishes were well prepared and enjoyable. However, the service continued to be nearly nonexistent throughout the meal. Outside of being seated, there were no check-ins, little interaction from staff, and we essentially handled everything ourselves during the experience. Because of that, the mandatory 20% gratuity felt pretty unreasonable considering there was virtually no actual service provided. We understand holiday brunches are busy and don't mind paying premium pricing for a special occasion, but the level of service simply didn't match the automatic gratuity or the expectations that come with a reservation-based Mother's Day event. Overall: decent food, but the service experience really took away from what should have been a special family outing.

The fried chicken left some to desire. The chicken wings were dry. Just dry and not good. The crust on the chicken thighs was good though. It was seasoned well and super crispy.
