12th Man Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. Plus, I ordered some extra mushrooms. Don't forget to eat your fries. They're hot and fresh.

Looking for another breakfast-specialty dining destination in Renton? We got another great spot... Countryside Cafe! Located on Northeast 4th in the Renton Highlands (Just east of Renton Technical College), you'll see a little strip mall, with big painted windows "COUNTRYSIDE CAFE" welcoming you! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has your quintessential breakfast-place vibe with familiar classics, and a few specials. There is nothing too out of the ordinary. It's also run with some Vietnamese flair. But definitely an all American diner experience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Fresh ingredients for your veggie omelet, waffles and pancakes at the ready, and hot coffee on request. They also have a very decent lunch menu as well. I recommend the 12th Man Blue Cheeseburger (with Bacon)! Give them a look, and of course, read the backside of the menu too for a few affordable surprises! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Be advised, it is self seating in the early parts of the day, so it can be understandably busy on weekends, but don't let that stop you![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The very kind and attentive staff will be on their way! Let's get breakfast!!!!! And... a little bit of lunch!!!! #countrysidecafe #supportrentoneats

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little diner that's close to home![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely for an older crowd that love to take it easy and slow.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came in at around 10 am on a Friday and was able to sit anywhere that was open. Our waitress was very sweet, and as far as I could tell, the only one serving tables, so service was a bit slower. Food was tasty and just what you would expect for diner food. Prices and portions were great as well. Around $43 for everything ordered (food is pictured). Definitely would come back for a nice and relaxing breakfast.

Was looking for a breakfast spot nearby and came across this place. It got pretty good reviews so we decided to stop. Wasn't really busy on a middle of a Sunday afternoon. Service was good and seating was readily available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is really laid-back and the servers were really great attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the fiery inferno and it wasn't spicy enough for me even though it had fresh jalapeños in it. The hashbrowns were fantastic; nice and crispy.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Solid diner style restaurant to get traditional American breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Eggs cooked properly, bacon crispy, hashbrowns golden browned and pancakes were fluffy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect for family and friends as well as work meet up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Countryside Cafe is a finest spot for a breakfast dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is tucked away from the 405 in the Renton Highlands. Part of a small shopping center. Enough parking near by - sometimes may difficult to find one too. We stopped here while coming back from Tukwila. Decided to stop here once we saw the great reviews for this place. We were welcomed by Karen that day and gave us a nice table. Many breakfast and comfort food options on their menu. Varieties are impressive to be fair. Pretty good options for the kids. Since it was a brunch time, completely skipped the lunch options/ burgers. We ordered couple of Red Waffle specials, Veggie omelette and coffee. Absolutely no wait for the food. It arrived real quick. Omelette came with hash browns on the side; waffle with sausage & scrambled egg. Delicious options. Really enjoyed the food. Service has been outstanding. Karen was really nice and super friendly. They do charge 3% charge if you pay by card. Great experience dining in there nevertheless!

This was our first time trying Countryside Cafe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a cozy diner vibe and was pretty empty on a weekday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We seated ourselves and were welcomed by our server immediately. I think our server's name was Karen. She was kind and attentive during our entire visit. She frequently checked in on us, refilled our beverages quickly, and seemed to know several regular customers by name. Service was reasonably quick ( but we were one of only three occupied tables). We ordered coffee, orange juice, country fried steak, and the salmon benedict. The country fried steak was good and similar to other breakfast diners we've had. I have mixed feelings about the Salmon Benedict. The salmon portion was VERY generous and tasty, and I was shocked, as I had expected just a tiny bit. However, the hollandaise was very bland, and the eggs were overcooked. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we appreciated the excellent service. We would be open to returning and trying other dishes.

My family was visiting, we wanted to try breakfast place in Renton. Breakfast should be the same, not really. Food was okay. I ordered big combo breakfast with French toast. My order was okay, eggs were cooked over easy. My brother ordered eggs with a lot bacons. His wife ordered Florentine eggs Benedict, they don't know how to make the order, the spinach supposed to be sautéed. Coffee tasted like instant coffee. Service was slow for weekday. I had stomachache the rest of the day.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and we seated ourselves. I started off with water and coffee. The coffee was fine. I ordered the corned beef with scrambled eggs. It took a while to get our food. We waited for like, 30 minutes? The food itself was pretty good. But nothing super exceptional. Service here kinda sucks. We were never really checked up on and it took us foreverrrr to flag someone down just to pay our bill. It just seemed like the employees don't care. Not sure if I'd come back.

A friend of ours, who is local, recommended this small family run restaurant as a meeting place for breakfast. It is unassuming as you drive up. Located in a strip mall front. It was what I would call the little local dive restaurant as we drove up and parked (parking was easy to do). The interior was cozy, filled with lots of tables which were full. As you walk in the door, don't miss the small board highlighting their specials. We sat at a booth and were offered coffee - yes, of course to a cup of coffee. Each coffee cup is unique and mine was a metal camping cup. It went along well with the quirky vibe. Fun! I ordered the pumpkin pancake specials which were tasty! My husband ordered a plate with an omelette, toast, bacon, potatoes. The clear winner --- the raspberry jam that came with the meals! I believe it was a freezer jam and it was so good, and homemade, that we ordered a jar to go when they said they sold it as well. Now I have to laugh a little that it actually didn't come in a jar, but rather a tall (venti sized) plastic cup with a lid. That's ok because we were able to take some home with us to continue to enjoy. The service - polite, friendly and fun! The waitress interacted with our table and we had a great time. I would definitely keep this on my list for when we are in the Renton area again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a place to bring family on a weekend morning, Countryside Cafe is where you want to be![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]the layout of the diner feels comfortable and spacious[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food portions were worthwhile! The service was really quick as well and the servers were very attentive to our needs. Definitely a must on a Saturday morning in Renton!

    Philly omelet. A daily special
    Kristie T.

We were coming back from a night in Woodinville on Memorial Day and all the cute Woodinville places had huge waits. I started looking for places on the way home and came across this place. My fiance was familiar with it and had been there years ago. There was a wait when we got there, but there were seats opened at the bar so we decided to sit there. Immediately, the owner greeted us and got us some waters. She took our order after that and she checked on us often. The cook staff and the servers were hustling around that place despite the huge crowd. I chose to get a daily special of the Philly Omelet. Wow, it was so good. And huge!! I also tasted my man's bacon and it was perfectly crispy.

The food was great, I had a large slider and some clam chowder and my friend had a large slider with some brussel sprouts. However, the service was terrible. There were 3-4 servers behind the bar, but it took us around 15 minutes to even get one of them to acknowledge us. They did have a small crowd, but nothing outrageous. The servers were obviously busy, but they ignored our efforts to be helped and 3 other couples got served who sat down after us. When we left, there was only a few people left in the bar, and the servers had turned over. The new bartender/server also ignored us. He finally acknowledged our existence when we asked for the check. Of course the bill was incorrect and included extra items that we did not order. We left and went to the receptionist to get parking validation. Apparently the free parking is only 2 hours free, we were there for a little more than 2 hours. So, we paid the extra cost and left. That area of Renton is super cute. Unfortunately, we wont return because we can find similar offerings in the area with free parking and better service.

Although we sat at the bar, we still got to have a very nice view of Lake Washington, which certainly went a long way. Overall noise wasn't too bad. Sure, some conversations got loud, but it's Saturday, the World Cup is going on and everyone is just enjoying their weekend. While loud, it wasn't disruptive. Bartender serving us was very attentive and provided most wonderful service this evening. She was very kind and while social, still tended to guests accordingly and swiftly, which was also appreciated. The Pork Chop and the Salmon were wonderful, savory and tasted great! But the Fries really took it home and were very filling. Hope to come back for more in the future!

We had a reservation and showed up about 10 minutes early, gave our name to the hostess, and then sat waiting in the lobby. After about 20 minutes of being completely forgotten about, I finally got back in line to ask about our table -- only to find out it had been ready for us the entire time. No one ever came to get us or update us. The food itself was actually pretty good. There was a solid variety, and several of the dishes were well prepared and enjoyable. However, the service continued to be nearly nonexistent throughout the meal. Outside of being seated, there were no check-ins, little interaction from staff, and we essentially handled everything ourselves during the experience. Because of that, the mandatory 20% gratuity felt pretty unreasonable considering there was virtually no actual service provided. We understand holiday brunches are busy and don't mind paying premium pricing for a special occasion, but the level of service simply didn't match the automatic gratuity or the expectations that come with a reservation-based Mother's Day event. Overall: decent food, but the service experience really took away from what should have been a special family outing.
