The ambiance is good. It still looks and reminds of an IHOP from yesteryear. Perhaps updated, but the spirit of the place is still there. My party of 5 sat in a booth and it was clean. The restaurant itself didn't look large but we were seated behind the windows that overlook the entrance doors. We were able to see the finishing station of the kitchen and the storage room nearby. Servers seem to be the ones who ultimately apply finishing touches to the customer orders. Our server was very amenable and checked on us every few minutes and he realized he brought us an extra beverage before we told him and whisked it right back where it came from. A huge plus because there was no fuss. The food was tasty. Certainly better than what I've had other locations. It seems like the staff at this location put a bit more care into food preparation and presentation. Total spend was $72 before tip. And we were able to pay at the register, not via QR code like at other locations. For a once in a while family breakfast outing, we'll keep this spot in mind when we just want a taste of something familiar. May even come back for dinner, as I was reminded they do have a dinner menu. read more

I walked in starving and was seated right away by Hakeem, who was super friendly and attentive. The place is small and cozy. I ordered green tea (served in a huge mug!) and the sirloin steak tips with eggs and strawberry crepes. Everything was delicious, especially the tea and crepes. Great service, tasty food. On 1/18/26 I went with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The table and booths weren't sticky like most of them can be. Our server Alejandra E was amazing. She was very attentive to us without hoovering while we ate and enjoyed each other's company. My son ordered a milk shake and unfortunately, they were out of the ice cream used to make them, but Alejandra offered to use the ice cream used for birthdays just to appease my child. I loved that she made it work to make him happy. That is amazing customer service. She didn't even have an attitude to go out of her way to do something for us. I've been to this location many times in the past and have had questionable experiences. I only went there this time at my mom's request. And I'm happy I did. This IHOP gets crowded, especially on weekends but the manager and team appear to do pretty good controlling the crowd compared to the Broad st. locale I frequent. What is also impressive is this one is significantly smaller. both in parking and dining size. The food is as you'd expect from IHOP and the servers are pretty nice. Each of my visits have been pleasant here despite a bit of a wait. My latest visit the server didn't give me hash browns in my usual combo which it includes. I didn't want to make a big thing of it but order the same combo most of the time, and it's pretty basic so I'd think the team would be familiar with it. I didn't get charged for it so no harm there. It is the IHOP location closest to my house, it is small but always filled with customers especially on weekends. This location never fails us though, I believe I can't even count the number of visits i did with this restaurant! Among my favorites is the steak omelette, huge servings of omelette with the salsa, sliced steak with the condiments on the side , it is delicious! We also loved the breakfast combinations that they have and it comes with a stack of pancakes- oh, the ever delicious, fluffiest pancakes ever! So, we decided to celebrate Fathers Day a day early so the kids and I took hubby to iHop for brunch. First, the hostess was definitely the hostess with the mostest! She was one of the sweetest young ladies! Then she assured us that we would be seated in less than 20 minutes. But what really got me, a seasoned senior woman came in with her friend and the hostess knew her by name and told her they made a special table for her - made my heart smile! Then we were seated and we had the sweetest server! She was patient and attentive with the kids (ages 3 and 4, both going on 16). I've lived in NYC for years and every weekend would venture out and try new Breakfast places. I recently moved to New Jersey and in my area nothing opened till 8:00am. I'm an early riser and need a bite by 7:00. Ihop was the only place open and I decided to try it. I'm blown away. Firstly, the food is exceptional, the staff are great and best of all you leave with $$ in your wallet. Seriously, I used to spend $$$$$ for breakfast and now not only am I full as a (whatever) I pay a fraction of the price. Initially I was too embarrassed to say I eat at I hop ( I was a wanker) but this place is definitely my go-to breakfast joint. I even splurge and have lunch there. Went to IHOP the day they announced they changed their name to IHOB and I must say I'm fairly impressed. First off, they still sell their pancakes people!!! All breakfast food normally found at IHOP is still there - IHOB is just emphasizing the new steakhouse burgers they have which I'll get to in a bit. Pancakes are still amazing and what I'll know IHOP (or IHOB?) for. Had a short stack as a side to my mushroom and Swiss burger while my friend had the cheesecake pancakes. The burger I chose was the mushroom and Swiss burger and for ~$10 it's definitely worth it. The burger was juicy and the bun held up and didn't disintegrate. It was so good I killed my burger in about 2-3 minutes. Would definitely come back for another burger. I chose pancakes as a side but they offer endless fries if you choose that as a side. Overall, IHOP is still great at what it does - pancakes - and will still have them. I'm not sure if they're actually changing the storefronts to reflect the IHOB change and think it's just a way for them to market their other items on the menu (burgers). It sure worked for me and I wasn't disappointed with my decision to go to IHOP / IHOB. Might try their other burgers but if you like mushroom Swiss you'll like their burger. read more

Also I love that they leave the coffee pot on your table so you can just pour your own. They're open late, they deliver, you can come pick up, it's up to you. Just remember that this is a smaller location and if you swing by on a weekend morning be prepared to wait 15 to 25 min but they do a good job of keeping things moving and you can always wait in your car near the front entrance since they call out the names on the outside speaker as well. This is my favorite IHOP, although I usually only visit here or the location on RT3 in Clifton. Today while visiting, I messed up my Yelp check in reward offer and the waiter still got me that free short stack anyways and everyone here has always been respectful. I got exactly what I was expecting: tasty pancakes, lots of eggs, well-seasoned hash browns. This particular location is conveniently located right in route 22, making it easy to find and with a good amount of parking space around. Of course, this also means that it's usually very crowder, especially during the weekends. Don't worry, though: I've never had to wait more than 10-15 mins to get a table here. They are pretty good at serving tables fast and efficiently. I'm giving this location 5 stars because I've never had a bad experience with them in the past.
