I'm honestly shocked to see so many negative reviews about this place because my experience was wonderful. From start to finish, the service, food, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. On a busy Friday night, the wait was about 20 minutes, which I thought was very reasonable. Our waitress greeted us promptly, took our drink orders, and quickly brought out fresh bread and butter. After ordering, our meals came out in less than 15 minutes--piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. At our table, we tried the ribeye, the LongHorn, and I had the salmon with shrimp. Every dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection--truly finger-licking good. Prices were fair for the quality, which was an added bonus. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and inviting, with plenty of seating as well as a bar area with TVs for a more casual vibe. I've been to longhorn once before at a different location for steak. Tried this place out because I was in the area and heard that the burger lunch special is a great deal. The burger was quite good and for $10 for a burger and fries, very reasonably priced. It was on the salty side though. Service was fairly quick. read more

Haven't been to LHS in decades bc wife is a TRH (tex roadhouse) patron for how long. Reason bc we dined at LHS iselin a decade ago and she was turned off bc the area we sat in smelled like puke and I kept telling her it's a pungent parm cheese topping for the steak. So years and years pass by and finally I get an opportunity to go with my daughter as the wife was at work. Man I miss onions peels and thier onion app delivered! My birthday was on April 30th, 2025. My husband and I went to Longhorn Steakhouse on Rt.22 in Springfield, NJ. I began with the Strawberry Pecan salad. The salad looked as if it was literally thrown onto the plate. There were 3 strawberries strewn over the greens with some plain pecans with a low grade raspberry vinegarette splashed on it. I took two bites and returned it. I then ordered a regular salad. It looked better.However there was an extraordinary amount of blue cheese glopped on top. I couldn't even taste the lettuce. I've always loved the Wild West Shrimp appetizer. I actually order that as my main course. However on this day the oil that the shrimp were fried in was beyond the expiration date. The oil was dirty and broken down. This once lightly crisp shrimp was heavy and dark in color. It tasted awful like the dirty oil it was prepared in. The hot cherry pepper slices were limp The peppercini looked as if they were the from the bottom of the jar. You can't use everything. Products breakdown. Waste is a part of the industry. Saving a few pennies can cost you a customer. Then we came to the end of the meal. I told them it was my birthday and if my desert would be at no charge. The waiter explained that you have to sign up on their app. for the free desert. I explained that I didn't want to share "more" of my information with anyone. Shortly after the so-called manager came by. She explained that I " had to" submit my information. I was disappointed again during this special dinner. Regardless, it was my birthday, I ordered the Strawberry Creme Shortcake to go. A short time later I was ready for a good desert after all the other disappointments of the evening. Unfortunately, that never happened. The desert tasted like the refrigerator. The cake was dry and crumbly. This experience was a giant "FAIL". Clearly, the restaurant is no longer providing a quality experience. A manager who doesn't have the authority to use the soft power of a desert to appease a dissatisfied customer isn't a real manager at all. Then on top of everything else my husband ordered a ribeye steak medium rare. First, the steak was medium well. Secondly, my husband was in the bathroom all night. As a former restaurant owner we are extremely reasonable with our critic of food establishments. As a first time customer of this steakhouse chain, I was very pleased with the experience. Going on a Saturday with a party of three we had to wait "15-20" minutes. Well it was closer to 5-10. Melanie S was our waitress. She was courteous, attentive and responsive to our needs. Salads were a meal on to itself. Shrimp appetizer was a little spicy but was delish! Margarita had no liquor. Ordered meal with side sweet potato. The potato was not cooked enough so I asked for a replacement. I got the replacement but it also was not fully cooked. Let me just say a guy who loves beaches and cold beverages, this is hands down one of the best pina coladas I've had in over a year. It's very cold full of flavor and melts in your mouth like a hot meal! So the drinks alone make this a bare minimum of 4 stars. But now onto the main course. The Filet Mignon was amazing it was juicy it was packed with flavor and with the cheesy garlic crust... It sold the whole thing and it comes with two sides. The ribeye steak comes with multiple pieces very large and hard to consume in one serving especially with fries and appetizers. Everybody was very friendly and even though every time somebody came with food or to check in it was a different person. They were all so nice and I couldn't ask for waiters and waitresses. Everything was SPECTACULAR! The waiter serviced us wonderfully and was super attentive to us. The mango margaritas we had to drink were super delicious and the mixers held extra for 2 cups ! The Shrimp and Lobster chowder was just what the doctor ordered during these cold few days and it warmed me up indeed. It was filled with so much flavor and nice pieces of shrimp and lobster. The complimentary bread paired just right with the chowder too! The Surf and Turf dip was just as flavor packed with chunks of lobster meat and the perfect amount of shrimp, all mixed with delicious cheeses and just YUM! The pita chips were nicely toasted on the outside and fluffy almost bread like on the inside giving just the right crunch and chew. PLUS it held the dip just right. Now the dessert, you're going to have to try it yourself because the mix of warm cinnamon apples, Jack Daniels Caramel sauce, all baked into a almost pie like loaf topped with caramel and raspberry sauce WITH vanilla bean ice cream on top was phenomenal. So I wanted to come back and update my review. My daughter recently turned15. Between the OUTSTANDING service and food, we knew we wanted to have a gathering at Longhorn. I went in a week before to talk to a manager to see if it was doable. Spoke to Ed who told me the day I choose (Monday) could be a hit or miss in terms of being busy so I should just call early in the day and we will take it from there. I also wanted to see if separate checks for families could be done as well. I was told it shouldn't be a problem. On that Monday just as Ed advised I called about 2pm. Spoke to Joe who I let know we would be there at 6:00 because Ed wasn't in that day. No worries everything will be ok he will leave a message for evening manager all is good. I arrive about 5:50 only to be told it will be about an hour wait because I should have called half hour before. Well if I was told to call a half hour before I would have done that. Gordon who is the best of the best came out and we talked but there was nothing that could be done. No I wasn't happy but it was what is was. So I wanted to get clarification about separate bills since I was misinformed about the time and sure enough. Gordon updated me that they could only do separate bills per table. Another headache I had to endure. For me communication is key. I just want to know so I can prepare. Less than an hour and we are seated. It was slow going but it rolled good. With Melody the waitress, Gordon and the food I was again satisfied. I will continue to rave about the service and food here. Their steak is always tasty albeit sometimes I think the chef is too happy and heavy handed with his salt. I had my side salad with extra cheese and Boy! I thought they threw in the whole slab of of parmesan on it. I'm not complaining. I like their Caesar salad dressing the best. I used to like Outback's dressing better before but not anymore. Great experience! Went here for lunch on Sunday and I have no complaints. We were seated quickly and the service was great. Alex helped us out every step of the way. It was quiet so he seated us and even made sure both me & my mom had a view of the football games. Our food came out quickly and was all correct. The portions here are HUGE, it was enough to have for dinner the same night. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin and rib combo, it came with a salad and a choice of a side. The best part about my meal was the bbq sauce on the ribs, I asked for some to go. The baked sweet potato was done perfectly, not a lot of sugar added and my steak was done right. To be a chain restaurant LongHorn Steakhouse steak is on point. Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and son and did not expect to be blown away by the food. I had the filet with a baked potato with cheese ,bacon,sour cream and butter. My boyfriend had the ribeye with veggies and french fries and my son had their burger. Each piece of meat with cooked exactly how we ordered it which can be rare when you order different cuts . Everything was so good including their service.
