I visited this store on 6/16/26 and I was charge twice for a single transaction. I ordered thru the kiosk and was not able to complete transaction because it says "gift card only". The lady in the counter helped me with my order and I was issued a receipt. I just checked my bank statement and there are two transactions. My bank told me to contact the business. This here is some good stuff, excellent sandwiches. It has a sandwich kiosk as well as delivery if you so choose. Service was friendly and got my order correct as I'm not a pickle person. Ambiance was a chill vibe and I love how every sandwich comes with a chocolate cookie for my sweet tooth. The sandwich also has 3 sizes and they have all kinds of bread to choose from. I like to go to various sandwich shops around town to get a sandwich for the next day for work. Mr Pickles did not disappoint. I ordered through the app which made things convenient, and love that they have a pick up window in the parking lot (yay for not having to unload the kiddos). My sandwich was delicious and was happy that they followed my directions to have the sauce on the side (remember, eating the next day, don't want a soggy sandwich). Our family loves Mr. Pickles! The sandwiches are the best in the area. My personal favorite is the Kickin Chickin which is chicken breast with pepper jack cheese and the most delicious Baja sauce. My husband loves the Big Easy which is chicken salad. Everyone who works here is always helpful and patient and the owner is absolutely lovely. This location also offers a Military Discount which earns a lot of respect from our family that my husband's service to his country is recognized in the civilian population. Takeout order of pastrami reuben and CJs pastrami. Complimentary cookie was freshly baked, soft, and flavorful! I ordered pepper jack in addition to Swiss cheese on the reuben. I couldn't see or taste either. The portion of meat to bread was lacking but it wasn't a bad sandwich. Hubby said the CJs sandwich was just ok. Ugh they've seriously gone down hill. I have 3 stars because the service was good from the young women there but the quality of the sandwiches was not there. The bread was a little hard on all 3 sandwiches I purchased. Two of them were on soft rolls but were hard and my Dutch bread was extremely hard. I was disappointed. This place used to be one of my favorite spots but not I will not go and spend a fortune on sandwiches that don't taste fresh. I LOVE this place!! I always get the Mr pickles sandwich with a green peach tea and miss vickies jalapeño chips. I also enjoy the bulldog sandwich too. I haven't gotten anything here that's been bad. The last time we came was during covid. Our experience wasn't very good but today we decided to give it a second chance. We placed our order online. When I arrived they were finishing up the order. The guy handing them out was very nice and polite. He asked for my name and then grabbed my bag. The service was super friendly. The food was so good. It was fresh. The meat was nice and tender. Today I got a My Deli with pastrami and it was the worst sandwich I've had from here to date. Super flat because there's barely any contents, and the expectedly soft french roll was hard and definitely not fresh. I won't be coming back for a while. I don't mind paying whatever it costs for a bomb sandwich, but just short of $20 for something that's become consistently less than mediocre at best is kind of ridiculous. Did a doordash pick up order at 5:20 pm for 2 sandwiches. We drove over and sat in the parking lot waiting for a text that it was ready. Approx 540 pm, I get notified by doordash that my food is is likely ready (see photo of text). No one was in line or outside waiting to pick up. I get to the window and they tell me my order is next. So I go back to my car and wait again. At 5:55 pm, I go to the window. One person just ordered in line and I hear them tell him 10 min. I'm waiting for my order and they slide their window open to say "we just ran out of beef" (for one of the sandwiches I ordered) the sandwich I ordered - Got Beef- without beef? What a shame. Are you kidding me? Ordered at 520 pm, at your window at 540 pm to pick up and you didn't say anything? Told them an alternative meat and waited another 5 min. Another 5 min doesn't seem like a lot but when you've been waiting and checked on your order already, it's a frustrating and long 5 min. Order finally ready at 6 pm!!! It's too bad because I really like their sandwiches but we won't be coming back. Service is awful. It wasn't busy and two people working. You made one of my sandwiches in 5 min. My food order should of been ready within 20 when I first checked on it. This feels like a common thing here as of late. Not shocked to read others had this experience. I really do not enjoy leaving negative reviews but it was not a pleasant experience. One star for the sandwiches, one star for location. read more

Ordered multiple sandwiches through their app from Mr. Pickles in Vacaville, all had issues with them. One sandwich has a single layer of turkey, the cheese was thicker than the meat. Another sandwich had very minimal turkey, just slightly more than the first but noticeable. Still not enough for a proper sandwich, but shows there's at least zero consistency. Also, the bacon on the sandwich was practically see-through, too tiny strips. You'd get more and better bacon from McDonald's. The last sandwich was supposed to include bacon but did not have any. Not that the measly amount they put in their sandwiches would have made a difference. I tried to rectify the situation with the store, but every time I would call it would go instantly to an automated message stating they were not taking phone calls at the moment. I would not recommend the Mr. Pickles in Vacaville, CA. They've apparently changed ownership recently and have totally gone down hill. read more

I love Mr. Pickles sandwiches but this location has the worst customer service. I've been going to them for years waiting for them to get better. The people look like they hate their job and every person that walks in the door. They have one person now that greets you and tries to make sure things run well but, they don't do a good job. They tell you your sandwich will be ready in ten minutes when you'll find that they're never ready under 20 minutes. Why they say 10 when it normally turns to 30 minutes I will never know. I will keep hoping that they will get their act together. If you run into another Mr. Pickles somewhere check it out. It may be a good one. Their sandwiches are my favorite. This is my favorite sandwich shop to come to in Vacaville. I grew up here, and still prefer this place. The shop is always nice and cool on a hot summers day. My order is always taken quickly.
