Came here around 10:30 am on a Saturday because we happened to be in the area. Took a few minutes for them to clear off a table for 4. They sat us at a booth. The bench we were on was loose and could feel every time the people behind us moved. We were debating asking to move to the booth in front of us but we realized it was also loose. Ordered our drinks and the waitress brought the hot water carafe (with the lid on incorrectly so water couldn't come out) for my tea and she forgot my mug. When I flagged her down told her - she looked at me blankly. I'm like I ordered a tea. She's like I gave you a tea. I'm like what do I drink it with. I need a cup. Literally after like 3 back and fourths she finally understood me. And bright me a mug. She also seemed unfamiliar with the menu. The thing my son ordered came with bacon, ham, and sausage but she asked which one of the three that he wanted. We kept saying that all three of them are included and she kept insisting that we'd have to get it on the side until we showed her the menu. All of the eggs came out over easy even though I asked for medium. My yolks were 100% runny and I like them custardy. Some of the egg whites were still raw. Janelle was a phenomenal server, making us feel welcome even though we came in just over an hour from close. The kitchen staff was prompt in getting our food out and our pancakes and eggs were delicious! Our party of 4 devoured plain pancakes, blueberry pancakes, the Cinnastack and protein pancakes along with sides of eggs. My partner had the same as mine except with scrambled eggs. Everything was good. Went in tonight for ihoppy hour and was supposed to be charged $8 x 2 for chicken and pancakes $4 for mozz sticks and $4 for French fry and onion ring sampler. We also added one mango lemonade. Yikes! I like IHOP but this place was a total flop. I came with my family because we were with two young toddlers. We walked into a empty dining area and waited 10 minutes to be seated and when we did the service did not improve. The drink order took 15 minutes and the food around 30-40 minutes to be served. Some people order the purple Monster Pancakes and the frosting came out white. The experience was extremely strange. The only reason I gave the place a 2 star was because the server was working extremely hard and was friendly. read more

First time for me to IHOP since the COVID shut-down in March 2019. So much has changed - much to COVID I believe. Good: Smaller, more condensed menu so it is now a single laminated sheet. Therefore easily cleaned between uses. Good: The tray of syrups is gone, individual disposable containers of syrup instead. Sad, but necessary. Good: No more pots of coffee on the table. Again sad, but necessary. Good: The staff wear masks. Good: Still the great pancakes that I remembered. So then why, when we were the only patrons in the restaurant, did they seat the couple that came in at the booth next to us?! As in I was back-to-back with one of the people (BAD), definitely NOT six-feet between us! Leave an empty booth between customers, please! P.S. If we were the second couple in rather than the first, I would not have let the hostess seat us there. read more

I have been here quite a few times and this far was my worse experience. It was not busy at all when I went in, the two waiters kept walking in and out of the back looking at me. Finally, the guy comes over and his excuse was he thought I had a takeout order. Even so, he was just going to let me stand there. The food was good, but the waitress sure rushed to get my check. I went to this ihop twice, and both experiences were so different. The first time, I went on a morning during a weekend, and the food was good and the staff were fine. The second time, I went for dinner and it was wildly different. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and we were seated right next to them, which is not my personal favorite but it's fine. The table we were sat at was disgusting, sticky and had food all over it. I'm guessing they just didn't want to give us a clean table because they wanted to clean less at closing. The food was also just bad. I ordered scrambled eggs, toast and hashbrowns and they were cold, and just pretty gross. I didn't end up eating it. This was the first time I went with my partner and he never wants to come back. I'm just surprised, because the first time I went it was totally fine. I have been to this IHOP location before but never had such a bad experience here. When my friend & I got here we waited almost 10 minutes for the hostess to seat us while she took a take out phone call that took all of 10 minutes to just get their order. The restaurant was very busy when we got there but she was going to seat us before taking the phone call. In my opinion she should have asked the takeout to please hold while she seated us. When we got to the table it was wet so we had wipe it down with napkins. We ordered & it took a minimum of 50 minutes for us to get our food. In the meantime at least 4-5 takeout orders went out. Our waitress didn't have much of a personality & didn't seem very ambitious. We were seated near the kitchen & while we were waiting for our food there was some sort of spat with yelling in the kitchen that half the restaurant could here. There was also a lot of foul language coming from the kitchen that was loud enough for patrons to hear. When our food came my bacon was raw...literally which I had ordered well done. The manager delivered our food & she said she would get me fresh bacon. I didn't get my bacon until 15 minutes later when she walked past my table & her memory was triggered that she had forgotten it. When the restaurant started to clear out there was dirty tables everywhere & it appeared there was only one bus person clearing tables. I will never return to this location again. We were headed to providence & I should have gone to that location where I've always had a good experience. My recommendation is don't eat at this location! Had been there for brunch. Their pancakes are undoubtedly amazing. My bacon crusted chicken breast with potato hash seemed to have very less bacon. Wasn't sure if it was supposed to be so.. This is my grandson's favorite place to go to breakfast. The staff there are incredibly kind to him and go out of their way to entertain him. Being 4 years old and having to sit in a restaurant and wait for food is not always easy. The servers they have make it not only easy but entertaining as well. The food is pretty good but I think we go there more for the staff and the experience with the little guy. We are grateful for their kindness to him and we do enjoy the food that we get there. He eats their pancakes and eggs and bacon which he doesn't always eat in other restaurants so that is helpful as well. read more

I'm an Activities Director at a nearby assisted living facility and I brought seven elderly Vets here for the Free Veterans Breakfast on Veterans Day. Most are on fixed incomes and we're delighted to enjoy a huge complimentary breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes! Alexis was our server and she was terrific! Lots of coffee and water I have always enjoyed International House of Pancakes. I don't go here often, usually only when I'm traveling, but usually find them a convenient and nice place to stop for breakfast on the way to somewhere else. So I was pleasantly surprised to see an IHOP opening only a few miles from where I live. This IHOP is located in the old Bickford Restaurant building and is decent size and has lots of parking. The inside is still all shining and clean. It hasn't had a chance to get all grubbed up yet. When we arrived we had about a ten minute wait for a booth. No problem, there is a nice little area to wait inside. The hostess was very friendly and prattled away about how nice great it is to have an IHOP in town. After a few minutes someone gave us menus and took our order and then brought over coffee and water. So far everything was as expected. After about 15 minutes a very nice guy came over and explained that our order is still a few minutes away. At least he gave us more coffee and water. After about another 15 minutes he came over again and said the same thing. More coffee and water. 15 minutes later he came once again, apologized and said things were moving very slow in the kitchen but our food would be right out. Finally after an hour and about a bezillion cups of coffee and water later he came once again and said the food would be right out. Still no food and we sure as hell didn't want anymore coffee or water. This went on for 20 minutes more. The waiter was extremely nice and kept asking us if we needed anything. Hmmm, how about some food? "Sorry the food isn't ready yet but how about some more coffee or water"? Arrrrrrgg!! After nearly an hour and a half we decided that we have had enough and had to leave for somewhere else. The waiter was once again very apologetic and seemed genuinely sorry and distraught. Even offered us some more coffee and water on the way out. No thanks. In fairness to the IHOP they had been opened for only two days and and obviously haven't quite worked out all the bugs. We will definitely be back to try again and I suspect they will do much better and get a much better review on our next visit. They do have pretty good coffee and water but some food would be nice. Absolutely terrible service. Arrived at the restaurant. Was not busy at all. At least 5 people on the floor. We were sat right away. Then ended in deep conversation. Finally, was greeted by an older lady, apologized for the wait. Ordered right away and then sat and waited for our drinks another 15 minutes in. I confronted a manager and instead of retrieving our drink order she proceeded to announce it throughout the restaurant. Needless to say, we left. The place used to be fun to go to. Today is New Year's Day and my husband and I come here often so we expected it to be busy. The only minor issue I have is people should be forced to wait in their car to be called upon, because today there was an uncomfortable amount of folks hanging out waiting to be seated when we walked in (after waiting in our car to be called). Our wait was longer than they quoted but when we saw how great they were being inside with their Covid-19 precautions, it was 100% understandable. I love IHOP and have been craving it for days. We came in, were greeted by a friendly host and the 5 of us were seated in a timely manner. We were also promptly greeted for drink and food orders. Unfortunately, thats where the positive review ends. After sitting for 45 minutes, we had not received food, been checked on, or offered coffee refills. When asked to speak to the manager, she claimed they were just getting the food placed together to bring out, when we could hear them continuing to prep the meal from our seats. They apologized and claimed an influx of orders came in (at 2pm on a sunday?!) And that was the cause of the delay. We will return to an ihop but it is unlikely it will be this one. read more

Empty parking lot should have been my warning! Walked in at 7:15AM and we are the only two people in the place. One waitress (young girl). I order a HOT tea with milk to start, my friend asks for an OJ when the meal comes. Water comes and it's not even warm, so need to get the waitresses attention for some HOT water. The milk came in a dipping sauce plastic container with a lid. We order our meals and we both got the same thing. Two eggs, sausage, shreds and toast. The meal comes and there was NO butter on any of the toast. The 2 sausages were size of a teenagers ring finger. The shreds were obviously frozen and not even cooked all the way through. And the best one, she never brought the OJ my friend asked for with the meal. Mind you, we were THE ONLY 2 PEOPLE THERE! We only went there because the 2 other pllaces we usually go were closed. Final Point...Stay far away from this place if you want a satisfying breakfast, anywhere is better. read more

We ordered a delivery for a group of 85 people. Liz was awesome from start to finish. She organized and stayed in contact with me until she personally made the delivery 7:15 am. Liz even adjusted the delivery time on short notice for us. The delivery was right on time with everything needed for a large group to have a really good breakfast. I have dealt with service and delivery throughout the northeast for our team over many years. Liz and the I Hop were some of the best we have ever had. Went to IHop yesterday and had an awesome meal. The waitress Lynn was very in tune to our needs and very helpful and friendly. The manager was also very helpful. We had ordered our eggs the wrong way and without blinking an eye the manager helped determine what kind we wanted and ordered them for us. When they came out they were perfect. The food was perfect temperature taste. I highly recommend this IHop and make sure Lynn is working. read more

My family was looking for a place to go out for breakfast and since we had a party of 10, figured IHOP was the best shot we had. We arrived at noon. Ask my daughter to go to go in ahead of us and let them know. When we got in a few minutes later, my daughter told me she was greeted with a major attitude from the host because we were a party of 10. When I looked around there were less than 30 people in the whole restaurant. Maybe even 15. The host was annoyed that she had to put a couple tables together so we did it ourselves. After about 15 minutes we still we're not asked for our drink order. We noticed there was about five or six workers floating about in the dining room but there was a young couple at a table looking around a lot. I asked the guy what was going on and he said that they got there at 11 o'clock and place their order and here we are at 12:15 maybe 1230 and they still did not get their order. I asked them why don't you just leave and they said the waitress insisted they pay for their meal ahead of time and that was about 1130am. They were super annoyed and they were even told at 11:45 their meal would be out in a few minutes. Clearly there's a lot of big issues going on there. So we all stood up and left pretty much explaining to everyone in the restaurant that these people were waiting for an hour and a half for their breakfast and work made to pay I had a time. If two people could not get there for 10 people definitely won't. I reached out to IHOP corporate a day or two afterwords and almost a week later they still have not responded. I figured it was time to let everyone else know Never again. And don't blame this on short staffing there was plenty of people working walking around not carrying any food. read more

Very disappointing. My wife and I were in Rhode Island to do some biking and we decided to have breakfast. My wife ordered eggs, toast, and well-done sausage and I ordered a combo with pancakes, eggs, and well-done bacon. The sausage was undercooked, the bacon almost raw, and they gave my wife ONE slice of toast. I love the pancakes at IHOP so when they served me two very small pancakes, i thought they made a mistake. The pancakes fit in the palm of my hand! I asked the waitress and she said that was the normal. It cost $12.99 for two eggs, two almost raw pieces of bacon, potatoes, and two miniature pancakes. We left the restaurant hungry. I can't describe how disappointed we were. We might still go to other IHOP's but never again at this one. read more
