IHOP has great service and friendly staff. The menu is very with attractive pictures to realistically depict many dishes. Service is efficient and accurate. The food is delicious, well cooked to order and hot when served. Coffee is served by the pot with unlimited refills. The restaurant is dishes, and area is clean. Good for families, senior menu, groups, and military discount. It has the most adorable flock of Mallard Ducks resident in there parking lot. This is the second time I've visited this location. The first time the food was slow as was the service. This last incident, I came in, got seated, got coffee, then 45 minutes later I walked out after leaving $5 for the coffee. Family of 4 was seated next to me about 30 minutes after I ordered. My experience here was fantastic! I didn't have to wait long only five minutes because they were having a rush. The service and servers were fenomenal, very kind, quick and getting you seated and polite. Was able to order my food with no issues and again cannot explain how kind they were when speaking and make sure you had everything you needed and enjoyed your time. The atmosphere was joyful and what's breakfast place should feel. Chattering happy family and you can see how the team her worked together to have a smooth running business there. Marking sure all were filled and satisfied. I dish I picked was delicious and I ate every last bite of it! Food was terrible! Silverware was dirty, pancakes were hard and we couldn't even cut them. The bacon was greasy, burnt, and incredibly salty. It was inedible. I had others try it and they all spit it out so I know it wasn't just me. I had to send back the pancakes and when they finally brought new ones out they didn't take the old ones away so we barely had room to eat at the table. There was no way to get the waitresses attention at that point. She didn't bring the pancake syrup I requested either and there was no syrup at our table to start out. She didn't offer a refill of our drinks until we were leaving. The young waitress was rolling her eyes and being super rude too. If you order online, they'll use DoorDash to deliver. But watch out! It's not an ordinary DoorDash order. When they forget your drinks (they ALWAYS, ALWAYS forget the drinks. 10 out of 10 times), you'll never get them. And there's a 50/50 chance they will give you the completely wrong order (like, Chicken and Waffles instead of a Breakfast Sampler) Call IHOP about it, and they'll blame DoorDash. Even if you rate it poorly, they'll blame DoorDash (look at the picture attached). But wait! Use that link to open a support ticket? And DoorDash will say they have no record of the order. Never mind that the tracking data, driver name, everything is all through DoorDash's website. You'll get jerked around for hours; DoorDash says they can't help you. IHOP refuses to refund you even though they screwed up. This review is, at its heart, an IHOP problem. Their poorly thought out systems, non-existent customer service, and frequent mistakes with their orders make them the most unreliable and undeniably worst restaurant in the Valley. The only reason they're in business is because no one else has opened a decent breakfast diner in the area. When that day comes, I'll be happy to watch IHOP die and fade away. read more

I was surprised by how small the portions were and especially how little you receive with an order. I thought these places were the eggs, meat, hashbrowns, toast, and pancakes kind of place. But it wasn't. Coffee was okay. They give you a whole pot which is nice. No need to wait on a refill situation. Makes it easy on the server I guess. Server still made sure to check in. One only because you have to in order to write a review. Stopped for breakfast mid morning on Monday. Not busy seated right away. Preceded down hill from there. Waited 25 minutes for creamer and more water. Our server and 2 others seemed consumed with another tables ticket. It seems the rewards weren't working. Good food, Bad service! We walked in after a long day of duck hunting and we were seated in the back corner. Our waitress asked for our drink orders, returned with the drinks, took our order, and the waiting game began. I ordered french toast with 2 eggs (over easy), sausage, and hash brown. My buddy ordered waffles and similar side orders. After 45 minutes our waitress finally reappeared to serve our food, then again disappeared and 15 mins layer returned with the check. We weren't asked if we needed refill on coffee and OJ. However, I can't complain about the food my french toast tasted great and the eggs were done perfectly. (Although I couldn't stop thinking about the movie road trip while waiting for french toast - no complaints about powdered sugar) I still smiled and we left a $4 tip. And I'm usually a generous tipper. I do still recommend this place for the food but not so much the service. 3.5/5 stars! read more

Three of us before noon, they were out of three things we ordered. My friend's menu had food stuck between the pages. She asked for a clean one. The server grabbed it, no apologies or acknowledgements. Husband wanted lemon in his tea. The server had to get the "prep" cook to cut some and she proceeded to serve them to my husband on her server's tray, no saucer, bowl, not even a napkin. Straight on the dirty server's tray! Gross! At this point we wondered if our food would come on a plate? After taking a sip of my tea the liquid level lowered to reveal lip gunk and my glass was filthy. I never thought I'd be writing a review for IHOP, but I think this one deserves it. I was driving up from Anchorage to Denali and it was getting pretty late. We decided to stop in Wasilla for food, so I busted out my Yelp iPhone app right away to try to find some local goodies. With my picky parents, anything Mexican or Italian was a no-no. Japanese not so much. When I told them there was an IHOP around, somehow they quickly made their mind up and were set on it. I was in the middle of a bad cold, so I was way too sick to argue with them. We ordered the Sirloin Steak Tips Dinner, Grilled Tilapia Hollandaise, and Swedish Crepes. Everything was perfectly prepared and the portions were just right for our hungry stomachs. Gotta love the way IHOP makes their Hollandaise sauce, which makes a great addition to their flaky Tilapia. The crepes had lingonberry jam on top, which you can't really find anywhere else. You really can't go wrong with IHOP. Everything is always prepared well, but in Alaska it somehow just tastes even better. The waiter was also very kind and we had a nice long conversation about our upcoming travel. Gotta recommend this IHOP to any hungry traveler on the way to Denali! read more

Awful. My husband and our two boys went in for breakfast the other day and it was a horrible experience. Took 45 minutes for my husband to even have the opportunity to ask for syrup for his pancakes, the waitress was rude and running into the bathroom every 5-10 minutes (go home if you're sick??), food was gross and overpriced. I'm not typically one to leave reviews, but my experience today at IHOP was pretty disappointing. I originally came in today February 28 at 11:50 To pick up a DoorDash order. When I arrived the order was just being started and I waited 15 minutes to receive my order. I overheard that this was due to the tickets not printing to the cooks in the back. These things happen and I do understand technology issues so I wasn't upset for waiting... however as you know for dashers, time is money. While I was waiting I noticed a sign saying "international pancake day, free pancakes February 28 from 7 AM - 7 PM" I asked the lady at the counter if they were offering this promotion today. She said yes, but we will be closing early at 3 PM. At the end of my shift, I decided to return and walked in to IHOP now at 2:06 PM when going up to the counter I spoke to the same lady as before. I asked her for a table for one, but she told me that they are no longer excepting customers for dining because they will be closing soon. I said "Ok no worries. Can I place an order for to go?" she said yes. When ordering pancakes and a coffee, I was told that the pancakes were only for dining-in customers. I reminded the lady of our earlier conversation and I confirmed they would be closing at 3pm and that's why I came back at 2pm... To again say, I'm not one for leaving bad reviews..but this was disappointing and overall humerus. So note to self, the international house of pancakes on international pancake day does in fact NOT serve pancakes unless you arrive more then 5 hours before their posted closing time. I completely understand being short staffed and having to make adjustments to accommodate to that, but all I ask is either take down your free pancake sign or actually give them to customers that ask. So I know what you're probably thinking... 5 stars at IHOP?! This guys doesn't get out much. And while that's mostly true, just hear me out. When you go to places like IHOP, Denny's, etc - it's for familiar meals. This IHOP was no different. My coworker and I were wary to stop by for dinner after work due to the low ratings this one had, but none of the reviews were all that recent so figured it was worth the gamble. Here's how it went down: We walked in and our hostess, Jennifer, politely greeted us and promptly showed us to our table. She took our drink order (water and tea) and while she was getting them, our waitress (didn't have a name tag, but very sweet and cordial) took our order. While sipping our tea and after waiting what seemed like 2-3 minutes, our meals came out. Everything was lightning fast. Several minutes after we started eating, our waitress stopped by again to check on us. We were both fat, dumb and happy - no complaints. After a relaxing 20-30 minutes, our waitress cashed us out and we took off. Before my post-meal-paralysis kicks in, I wanted to post a positive review so others aren't reading old reviews and unfairly avoiding this place. Food was what you'd expect at an IHOP and the service was A+ across the board. If you're in the mood for some lingonberry crepes or stuffed French toast, do give this IHOP a try. Yes- 5 stars! Because what's there to complain about! This is our weekly go-to spot for breakfast with the little guy. He loves the Jr. Chicken & Waffles. I usually go for the veggie omelettes, which are always perfectly made for my liking; not overdone but no runny egg in the middle. The hashbrowns are excellent. And probably one of the best coffees in the valley! I would also like to add, the food comes out fast and hot. The service is really what prompted this review. Jamie is the best! Always attentive and remembers how we take our coffee. She's very sweet and always gets everything 100% right. She was shadowing a new employee today and is very kind and patient with their new recruit. Carol, the hostess, is always pleasant and fun. Even when they're very busy and have a waiting list, she keeps it light and cheerful and never appears stressed. Good job, ladies. You're the reason we keep coming back every week. Went and ate out tonight for my uncle's birthday. It was his choice, so we dined at Wasilla IHOP. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. I ordered my steak medium rare, but what was served to me was too tough to eat. My steak was very dry, stringy and way too overcooked. It was the consistency of Jack Link's beef jerky. My kids love beef jerky, so they gladly took a few bites of it. My salad greens were a little limp, but okay enough to eat and my broccoli and potatoes were dry as if the whole plate sat beneath the warmer for a couple hours waiting on some sucker to order a steak. I left the restaurant disappointed, although, not entirely disappointed since my Uncle, mother and children were treated well. My mom was only disappointed that the steaks were cut so thin. Both Mom and Uncle's steaks looked like they were cooked perfectly, moist, juicy and a hint of pink. They even got a portion cup of butter to slather on their already juicy steaks. I don't know what butter would have done to my dry beef jerky steak, but damn! I wanted some butter too! Too bad the server never came around to see if we needed anything after serving our plates. Food scraps of bread and fries on the floor at my feet and beside me on the chair as well as a sticky table from syrup cause it hasn't been washed in forever... so much trash and clutter on the floors all around.. now I have diahreah as well.
