Very disappointed in the customer service. Too much personal conversations between employees in the open, loud music coming from an employee headphones, crashing dishes as they cleared the tables. Not once were we checked on after we got the food. When I shared that my strawberries were still frozen he asked if I wanted to share with the manager, I said please just let them know. He did but her response was loud enough for us to hear and she said "yeah well that happens when you're very busy and run out of strawberries!" Wisconsin Dells Location - it's National Pancake Day, so we decided to head over and enjoy some pancakes. Seated quickly and menus were given. Took quite a while for the server to come take drinks and food order. Food was served quickly and was tasty. After finishing our plates we were looking to get the check. We sat around for 10 minutes and finally started getting ready to leave, hoping the sever would take the hint to bring us our check. Nope, still waiting. When we got the check, I pulled out cash quickly to cover the bill, but needed change. Had to wait another 5 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge that I was standing in front of the register ready to pay. Gave them my money and they didn't have change. Another wait for them to try and ask people for change. They come back with my change and tell me, "sorry. We don't have change. I owe you 30¢." Uhh, ok, so I know it's not a lot, but how do you plan on making change for other people?? They also said, "well the manager isn't here so we have to use our own money." So who is running this place?! I was upset, but I felt bad for the people working there. Clearly no direction. read more

This is the most unorganized, slow paced iHop I have ever been to. They sat us on a booth, we were a group of six. We were waiting for a whole 45 minutes for a waitress and it wasn't busy at all! Not even water was served or water! We asked for a waitress twice. Both times they advised she would be there shortly. On the third attempt we asked for a manager. We noticed they went up to our "assigned waitress" and she had no clue she was suppose to assist us! Ridiculous. Im only giving a one star bc we cant give none. No manager showed up! We asked twice as well for the manager. We would have been understanding but it seemed like no one cared. Dont waste your time here literally you will waste your TIME!! read more

i think this place is very nice for breakfast and lunch. service is always extremely fast and friendly. i lived in the dells for almost 2 years and used to go to ihop all the time... never had anything bad there. read more

Service was good and fast today. Oatmeal was watery and missing the bananas like it had in the menu, 2 scrambled eggs looked like one but overall it was tasty. -1 star because they got rid of the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity for adults. That was a buzzkill for me. read more

I was very excited to go to an IHOP it had been years. I would not go back ever again. Our order was all wrong. We had 3 different people bring us our food no one seemed to know what was going on. When we finally recieved the correct things everything was just average. They seemed to be out of everything, such as creamer, sour cream which I found very odd. We started out with a great experience being that it was Automotion weekend in the Dells. My husband and I got seated in about 10 min and lobby was very full. BUT... then we got sat down and had to wait another 10-15 min before our waiter came to even take our drink order. AT this point we ordered our food considering we had enough time to decide along with our drinks. Then 4 other tables with 4+ people in the there groups got sat down and got their food before we got ours. We just about got up considering at this point we had been waiting for an hour. finally our food came, it was decent food, but my omelet didn't have bacon in it, and my husbands sample plate was missing the sliced ham. I also just wanted a WAFFLE and they said it would be a 5.00 up charge!!! that's crazy ridiculous when it came with a side of 3 PANCAKES! any ways, I'm sure we will go back but was very disappointed at this trip! Restaurant was dirty. My husband's feet were slipping in something slippery on the floor and his arm stuck to the wall next to him. The bench in the front area was broke and we almost ended up on the floor. We were placed along the back wall so there was a ton of traffic by our table which wasn't great but then the bus boy decided to use the restaurant as his personal gym. He ran around and around the room carrying glasses and clinking them together the whole time. He would even jog in place while using the glasses as weights. He would "beep" at his coworkers if they were in his way. This was extremely distracting, loud and unprofessional! The young staff seemed to think it was funny. Toast was the thin, cheap Wonderbread variety. Didn't see a manager anywhere. Won't be going back due to the dirt, mediocre food and unprofessional staff. read more

Roaches!! Ew! Stopped here with a party of seven. Took a very long time to get out drinks. As we were waiting, I noticed a very active cockroach in the window next to our booth. I alerted one of the employees and she continuously told me she doesn't see it. I took the flashlight from my phone and pointed it out to her because by now it went on the bench to the floor. She saw it and said, "well I don't know what you want me to do about it". I told her she should kill it. She took an IHOP menu and started rubbing it all over the floor and smacking it down on the roach. The roach climbed up in the bench and she walked away. I sat back down and she brought our drinks. After sipping some of my coke, I looked and there was a dead moth stuck on the inside of my cup! I got up and told her I'm leaving and not paying for anything and went outside. She gave the rest of my party a bill for the drinks and said we can at least tip the waitress!! I came back in asked for a managers name, she walked away. So I called a number they had on the register and still not received a call back or an apology. read more

Worst ihop experience EVER!! We normally love eating at iHOP, but will never com back to this location!!!! We sat down with our 4 children (ages 6,4,3 and 4 months) and received menus. We waited for 20 minutes and then my husband went to ask for crayons for our antsy hungry kids. At this point we still had not received drinks or our server for that matter! My husband went to ask to host, who our server was, and then waited another 5-10 minutes! We finally had reached our limit and so did our kids!! More than 25+ minutes of waiting and no server no drinks! People who came in after us ordering and even RECIEVING THEIR FOOD! We finally started getting up ready to leave and a server comes and says "I'll be with you shortly." I said no thank you we have been waiting forever! My family stopped at I Hop in the dells hoping to get a good meal? My son and husband ordered pancakes which were good. I ordered an "Appetizer Sampler All our favorites" Monster Mozza Sticks, Onion Rings and Crispy Chicken Strips. Served with honey mustard and marinara sauces" Which had COLD mozza sticks, COLD Onion Rings and warm Crispy Chicken Strips I sat as watched my plate of appetizer sampler sat on the shelf for over 4 minutes then brought to our table "GROSS and COLD" I would tell people if they want ONLY breakfast go to I Hop otherwise go somewhere else where the waiters and cooks care about what they are doing. You can't mess up a pancake! I will never stop at I Hop in the dells again. You're better off going up the street to Mc Donald's! It's cheaper and better! read more

This turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. We wanted breakfast for dinner and voila -- we had good pancakes, a tasty egg sandwich and delicious breakfast-y, fruity drinks. The service was good, the place was very clean and quiet. We would definitely return. read more

This is probably one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to! Service was the complete worst, coming from Chicago we decided to choose IHOP here in the Dells; however worst decision. The waitress sat us down; brought the menu's but never came back to take our order, or bring us some beverages, or at least water while we waited. After about 20mins we brought it to the host's attention since she was the closest but it took about 10 more mins for someone to finally come. Her name was Ana & was a COMPLETE mess, still tying her apron on, unprepared. We asked for the manager, about 10 more mins passed yet there was no sign of one. So we decided to leave. By far this was one of the most unorganized, unprofessional restaurants EVER!! & it wasn't even busy. They definitely need a new manager along with better trained servers!! read more
