Food has been kind of getting average. I'm not one to complain and I'm an early bird. All of their restaurants are 24 hours now which is very helpful for taxi drivers and early gym members. The worst experience from IHOP yesterday. Very mis- managed. I placed an online order to be delivered with door dash. Original delivery time was 9:51am 5/9/2021. The delivery time keep changing. I called the driver who told me that the parking lot was overcrowded and no one could get in. The manager was in the parking lot telling everyone that there was a two hour wait on food. I asked the deliver to ask the manager how to cancel the order and was told had to go through door dash to cancel. IHOP turned phones off so you couldn't even call the store. In the process of canceling I get a notification from IHOP that my food was delivered which it wasn't. Now I have to fight between IHOP and DoorDash to get my money back. Horrible service high price. I went for coffee grits toast and eggs. The server brought the eggs toast and grits all together when I asked for the grits first because I can't eat all of the hot food fast enough to keep it from getting cold. I didn't get a spoon to eat the grits with and when I asked for one the server was taken back and told me he gave me a spoon when he brought the coffee. I explained that the teaspoon he brought was for the cream and sugar with the coffee and I can't use it to also eat the grits plys most people eat cereal including grits with a soup/cereal spoon not a teaspoon. He was annoyed and asked a coworker to bring a spoon to me. I asked for the eggs to be loose and not well done but they arrived dry and not even close to how i ordered it. I asked for melted butter on the toast it came out with butter in a plastic cup not even on the toast let alone melted. By then I was annoyed and sent the toast and eggs back and cancelled the order. I Had the grits 1 cup of coffee and 1 glass of ice tea and the bill was $7.88 - ouch! I never liked the quality of IHop food but like today it is sometimes the only game in town so I tolerate it. If no stars were available, I'd vote for that. First time ever I ordered take-out for this IHOP and it will be the last. Start off with ordering on-line. I had the Colorado omelette less the shredded beef and pork sausage. I added avocado and sour cream. Both never came with the order. Completed the order at 9:15 and was told to be there be 9:30. I waited and waited and waited more. I was informed that they messed up the order by including the pork sausage and would have to re-cook it. I was given some drink and fruit to sate me, but refused them. I again resumed waiting and waiting and waited more. It was now 9:50 and the order arrived. The parking space for pick-up orders is too small and badly signed. It is suppose to be one-way, but people enter it from the other way. The omelette came with lots of ham and cheese, but very few green peppers & onion. Hash brown were trash. I wouldn't even give them to a dog. read more

I write reviews on businesses in the hopes the owner will correct problems or continue behavior I appreciate. Specifically, I've eaten here 3 times, and the wait staff is always nice. I'm not an idiot, I don't go there during peak times. But, I don't know of any real coffee shops in Woodbridge. So I choose an evening, and I enjoy IHOP pancakes and a monster omelet, bottomless coffee, me and my trusty kindle. Add a happy waiter or exotic waittress? All for $10.49? Perfect, just Perfect! The tale of the worst IHOP in history... Our story begins dining on a Sunday at 1pm, we ordered milkshakes(because well buy one get one free why not), except when they finally arrived(10+minutes later), the waitress switched my wife's hazelnut milkshake with another tables banana milkshake, so that needed to be corrected. You'd think the waitress would go over to the other table and apologize and correct her mistake, but that never happened. Also during milkshake time, we had no utensils or napkins, and the milkshakes were spilling over the sides making a bit of a mess that a napkin would have been GREAT for. Next up was of course waiting forever for food to come, took about 35 minutes, yet everyone but me received their food. I ordered the quick 2 egg (over medium) breakfast with bacon, toast, hashbrowns, an extra side of sausage, and a glass of OJ, showed up about 5 minutes after everyone else, but was missing several other pieces to this meal, the OJ, toast, and sausage. Also the eggs came very, VERY overcooked, like smashed yolks and cooked straight through, so I asked for over medium eggs please with the yolk still runny, but also didn't mention the other things missing and wanted to see if they could at least fix that without me telling them. Another 10 minutes passes, and my eggs arrive, complete with lots of uncooked egg white that couldn't remotely even pass for over-easy, let alone over-medium. So I tell her at this point I'm done and also nicely let her know of everything else that was missing from in front of me, let alone all my other food was barely warm when it came out so it was mighty cold by then and the rest of my family was pretty much done eating anyways. So she goes and gets the manager and she comes and brings me the check and apologizes and said she took my meal off the bill. I thank her and take a look, and the OJ is still on the bill, so she runs off and corrects that and brings me back the corrected bill. Next I go up to the cashier to pay, and the manager is there and she starts to ring me up and I hand her my card, as the person next to me getting rang up has them get told that their credit card was declined, so they give the cashier another one, that one is also declined. Then my card comes back declined, so obviously they are having some sort of issue with their credit card system at this point as well. Told her to stop trying to run my card for the 3rd time and just paid her cash and left. I honestly don't feel I've ever had a meal(well, I didn't in the end) with so many things go wrong. There is something severely wrong with this IHOP location, god only knows what's happening in the kitchen...IHOP corporate really needs to look into this place... read more

I placed a order in the IHOP application for a in store pickup. IHOP charged my credit card right away. The application said it will be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived at the store on time and there was a large number of people waiting. After waiting 30 minutes was told by the manager that it could be 10 minutes or a hour to get our food. He said they are very backed up. I asked the manager to cancel my order. He said he could not to cancel it in the application. I could not find how to cancel the order asked for assistance from the manager. He said he has no control over it. When I asked for a customer service number the manager pointed to a business card. I called the number and got voicemail. I ended up leaving the store without my food and and IHOP taking my money. I am still waiting for a call back from customer service and have contacted my back to get my money back. I recommend not using the IHOP application since there is no support for it. I also recommend not going to this IHOP as they do not provide basic customer service. read more

Just left this location and I'm very disgusted!!! No one finished there breakfast, the eggs had a weird smell and were cold. The kids ordered pancakes and they kept saying, " mommy this tastes very bad." Never coming here again!!!! read more

This place sucks- go to the one on Hoadly Rd or on 234. Came here Wednesday- not busy- takes 15 minutes to sit me down and get sit in a room with a loud party- available tables everywhere. Worst service ever. I called in a to-go order 20-30min before I arrived. When I came to pick it up, it wasn't ready for whatever reason. The cashier asked the waitress for "White Chocolate Chip Raspberry pancakes" ASAP and I waited another 10 min in the store....only to see the waitress come out with a White Chocolate Chip MILKSHAKE. She asked the cashier who it belonged to and he said "It was pancakes not milkshake". Then the waitress gave the milkshake to a random customer in line who took the milkshake and left, leaving me still empty handed. I am growing impatient at this point and almost ask for a refund so I can get the hell out of there, but thankfully my pancakes arrived just before I lost it. Every time I have tried to order food to go, the customer service on the phone was horrible. The last time I called to place an order the woman who answered asked me to wait and then told her coworker she didn't want to take the order because she was about to go on break. So I sat on the phone, not on hold so hearing these coworkers go back and forth about taking my order for about 5 minutes. Finally get my order taken when I go in, same issue nobody wanted to ring me out because either they were on break or "that's not my job to ring to go out". This location has major pest issues. Third visit in a row where ants and flies have been sitting on my food. Each time the assured me it was a one off situation. Today they said it's totally normal and acceptable to have flies on the food and table because the doors open and they come in and they have no control of the six flies sitting on my breakfast and my toddlers breakfast. They tried remaking it and put it on the table and the flies returned before the manager walked away. Their solution was 10% off military discount. I'm already military affiliated, so this wasn't an additional amount for me-- not to mention 10% isn't acceptable when you couldn't eat your breakfast or feed your kid due to pests. So we went into this IHOP with 17 of us in our group! (Including 5 kids!). Took 7-10 min to get our orders and drink acknowledged. It took 15-17 min to get the drinks after the waiter took our drink and food orders! It took another 15-17 min for the food arrive but the adults in our group got our food and the kids had to wait an additional 15 min for their food! Good golly! You would expect making Mac & Cheese and kids pancakes would be easy enough! No!! Poor kids looked so starved and anxious! I personally had the T-Bone steak dinner with broccoli and corn! Med rare! Somehow the steak in a WA IHOP taste better! It just does! Broccoli a bit burnt, corn needed flavor and of course steak needed help!! But waste not want not! I ate the meal!! Oh my meal came with chicken noodle soup! ( I did have a choice of Soup or Salad ) Which came the exact same time as the meal! So on the bright side, the soup was good on an early morning Virginia morning (4:30AM) but could of use more noodles and chicken!! It was good but I like more solid ingredients! So after the meals were eaten, kids and all, it took FOREVER for our waiter to come back to our table! We are talking 30 min! Then another 20 min to get the bill!! Dang! Patricia is amazing! Wanted to say that first. Her smile is infectious, and her delightful and kind attitude is refreshing! She made sure my coffee was full each time she passed and checked in often, but not too often. I really like this IHOP at 10am on Tuesday mornings. The food is well prepared and nice. It is becoming a ritual. Today the young ladies were making sure that the windows/glass near the entrance was shining and greeting people with the biggest smiles and best eye contact. Way to go IHOP! Fast service and the friendliest staff make this one of the better Ihops I have visited. The location sits near Potomac Mills mall and looks like it is always crowded. It's not a very big place but the staff is helpful and attentive and made the visit enjoyable. Make sure to stop here if you are passing through driving down Route 95. read more

I am 38 weeks pregnant and was craving a chocolate chip funny face pancake at 2 in the morning on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, when I got my pancake, it was doughy and undercooked. Not to mention, I had waited over 20 minutes for this appetizer. Our server, Jose, was not attentive and never once said thank you or you're welcome. It got to the point where I was saying thank you very often, so he could realize he wasn't using his manners. Eventually, he just said "yeah." Our food came out after 45 minutes of waiting and it was delicious! The manager Quinn, was absolutely a pleasure. He was hustling and making sure we had everything we needed. When we were finished, we waited for about 10 minutes before we asked the manager to bring us our bill because our server wasn't coming to our table. We paid cash and tipped the manager. Both my husband and I work in a casual fine dining restaurant and we tend not to be too critical. I was incredibly displeased with our server and I don't think the service industry is for everyone. We prefer this location as it's close to home. They do have some awkward servers, some that are short with you, some older, some who look like they may have a drug problem .. all that aside- our order is always fast, accurate and delicious.
