We had so much fun today at the IKEA in Emeryville. We went to the Midsomer celebration. They close the restaurant at 4 o'clock to prepare for a 6 o'clock opening. They had decorations on the table Little maypoles and little Swedish flags and the buffet was amazing. They had so many of my favorite Swedish delicacies. The dessert area was phenomenal and that strawberry cake was delicious. The cashier Carl was so nice and gave such great service. Everybody was just so happy there. The service was great. The tables were clean. We just had such a great time. I highly recommend it.

Swedish meatballs - 12 Piece entrée, 11.49 Served with Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Gravy and Lingonberry Jam

I hadn't been to IKEA in ages, but we decided it would be a fun trip for the whole family to grab inspo and of course also stop at the restaurant for a yummy, cost-friendly, comforting, and quick/fast-paced meal. We ordered the classic Swedish meatballs (12 Piece) entrée for 11.49 ~ Served with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Peas and Lingonberry Jam. Oh! And the soup of the day (mushroom). There's also near checkout downstairs a Swedish Bistro with pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, and a dry goods/frozen section to pickup any additional items before checkout. Large open space for sitting/enjoying mid-shopping experience, and high chairs for the littles. I noticed they have these really cool food carts to place your items in, and people were ordering all sorts of items including salads, sandwiches, and desserts. They don't serve alcohol, but their Lingonberry juice is delicious. All in all, it does the job in a unique way, solidifying the IKEA trip with a bow. The froyo upon exiting the store is a cool treat, and everyone is just so friendly. We will def do it again next time we're in Emeryville!

Like this place. Has a decent view and really good prices for a Bay Area place. In the land of everyone trying to rip you off, this place does it right. The Swedish meatballs are fantastic and pretty much all of their food including that berry drink. The food tastes like a nice home cooked people so expect that. The area could be a little cleaner, but overall a nice little spot.

    Strawberry swirl ice cream cone

It was a warm day and frozen treat was deserved. We stopped by IKEA in Emeryville to grab the $1.75 ice cream cone. The first floor area had way less people and ordering was by kiosk. It was quick to order and quick to get our order. I think it was less than 5 min total. There were chairs set up nearby to sit and enjoy the treat. The strawberry part of the swirl was watered down because it was more icy than ice cream. I think I'll stick with the original cone next time.

Sorry, I had already eaten into my cod, peas and mashed potato before taking this picture.

I came on Saturday for an early dinner. The place was packed and we had a decent and orderly line going. The place is well lit and clean, and the vibe is active and bustling. There's a wide variety of Swedish-inspired food choices from warm meals to cold dishes, desserts, drinks to bars of chocolates, cookies, and other Swedish goodies. I ordered the garlic cod with peas and very flavorful mashed potatoes. It tasted really good.

Their supplers must be different at all ikea's . The fries are much better at this location. These are the fries I know and love, crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle. Either that or the people pay more attention to simple items like fries, Either way these fries are a vast improvement from the ones I got at another Ikea location.

There was no one in line. We made it through the café style servive very quickly. Swedish meatball plate and Stockholm salad were both very good. Seating was plentiful and we had a view. We both loved the sparkling pear drink

The IKEA restaurant is located on the 2nd floor near the kids bedroom area. It's cafeteria style. The line starts with 2 windows of their desserts (not fair!) It was tempting, but we opted for a tin of gingerbread cookies on display next to the line. They serve inexpensive hot meals that actually tastes good. The dining room is self-seating. It's very spacious, but does get crowded on weekends. What we had: + Swedish meatballs meal - this is their most famous meal. The meatballs are super tender, served with mashed potatoes and veggies. The lingonberry jam goes so well with the meatballs and gravy. + Salsa Verde chicken - doesn't sound very Swedish, but it was quite good. The chicken fell off the bones. It's served with rice and beans and plantains. + Gingerbread cookies in round tin - These are heart-shaped, thin, crispy and so addicting. So good, it was hard to stop. There are plant-based versions of most meals (including their meatballs). Good, inexpensive food that even the kids enjoyed.

I didn't realize that this was a popular spot, especially during the weekend in the morning time. I came on a weekend and there was so many people mind trying to get the breakfast. Overall, breakfast prices were reasonable. Their chicken strip combo did increase. It comes with fries and a drink and it's $13.99 which is pretty expensive. They also have a few new additions and the dessert section as well as some new menu items. Overall, I feel like the food wasn't as good as before. They also eliminated quite a few of their kids meal menus.

Always loved this location, staff super friendly and helpful. Showroom is neat and clean. There's a coffee machine in which i enjoy getting a fresh cup of Americano. It can also dispense a cappuccino or a double.

I have been a loyal IKEA customer for years, but shame to say I have never eaten at their restaurant. That finally changed on 08/10/2024 when my family and I stopped by to have lunch here. This place totally reminded me of a college cafeteria, with lots of tables and foot traffic. It's always crowded, and our visit was no exception. At around 2:15pm, it was almost completely full. Fortunately, my brother spotted an open table and grabbed it quickly. After asking what my family wanted, I proceeded to the food line. It was long but moved swiftly. I ended getting four items - Swedish meatballs, salmon plate, pulled pork sandwich, and Stockholm salad. The total was a reasonable $43. We all thought the food was good. My mom is a light eater and she really enjoyed the salmon plate. My brother and I shared the rest and we liked them as well. My interaction with the staff was good. They were friendly and helpful. We will definitely eat here again next time we shop at IKEA!

    Small breakfast - $2.49

Surprisingly decent breakfast. I wasn't expecting much considering it costs $2.49 but it was actually pretty tasty. Potatoes had the best texture out of the three. Fuels you up properly for shopping in the IKEA maze.

I came here to claim my free breakfast and coffee in celebration of IKEA's 40th anniversary! I enjoy coming here and eating here. The price is right! Service is not bad. Lots seating space and friendly for family.

I pedaled my bike over there this Wednesday morning, aiming to secure a proper breakfast that would actually carry me past 11 a.m. The shop is cozy, definitely on the smaller side with a few seats inside, giving it that familiar, neighborhood spot feel. It's not a sprawling, antiseptic café, and I appreciate that. I ordered the Laney Breakfast Sandwich, which features egg, fresh spinach, sliced turkey, and Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin. What impressed me was the intentionality--this wasn't something sitting under a heat lamp, looking defeated. It was clearly made to order. The egg was seasoned right, the turkey wasn't flimsy, and the spinach added that necessary fresh bite. It was a damn good sandwich, simple as that. I paired that with the Berry Lovers Smoothie. The original recipe calls for banana, but I asked if they could swap that out for mango. My people know that mango adds a different kind of sunshine, and they executed the substitution flawlessly. It came out thick, perfectly blended--a rich mix of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and that mango kick. It was super refreshing and didn't taste like I was drinking melted ice. The service was quick and friendly, which is key on a weekday morning. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and intentionally prepared. If you're looking for high-quality breakfast fare that feels less commercial and more like something someone actually cares about, stop by. The short bike ride and the intimate seating are worth it for what comes out of that kitchen. They earned this review.

Our orders were taken and we sat down to wait. There were a TON OF FLIES buzzing around and I kept having to wave them off especially when we got our order to the table, which honestly was gross. We were called to pick up our order, but only 1 of the 4 items was ready: Zadie's Masterpiece Breakfast Sando - Really tasty and enjoyed the biscuit it was on. Skimpy on the bacon, there was ONE piece but overall good breakfast sandwich. Next item ready 5 minutes later: Khadija's Slow Burn Harissa Hot Honey Breakfast Burrito - Really tasty. Definitely flavor packed and would order this again. *BUT there was an issue. Apparently the person that ordered before us asked for the same burrito to go...they NEVER got it and yet our order was ready. The person was pretty cool about it but they were definitely annoyed and gave us a look although it wasn't our fault. *The ordering system seems unorganized with the cashier writing orders on a slip of receipt paper and putting them on a stand by the kitchen. I wonder if the slips were out of order or fell and they skipped this persons to go order? IDK but they need a better system! We tried waiting for our coffees before starting to eat but then our food started getting cold...YOU KNOW WHY?... because the poor person that was taking orders was also in charge of making drinks. Having one person as cashier and barrista is NOT a good idea on a busy Saturday morning. It was hard for them to take a moment and focus on the drinks becuase people kept coming in an placing orders which means we waited for 20+ minutes before getting our drinks. By then our food was mostly eaten! Thankfully we noticed they had a water pitcher for free water which was a saving grace! The wait for drinks was so long that people that were already sitting when we arrived and had already eaten their food were JUST getting their drinks before us. HORRIBLE! I felt really bad for the cashier/barista :( Another turn off, there is no understanding on what to do with dirty dishes. Do we bus our table? If so where do we put it? We noticed people leaving plates by the water pitcher and cups, some put them on the long counter by the coffee area. There wasn't a garbage or compost bin, so we weren't sure where to put food scraps. There was a bin for "Plastic Only" but only the cup lids were plastic and the cup itself was paper, so where TF do you put that? We noticed a black plastic bin that someone had brought out from the back, so we placed our stuff in there but wasn't exactly sure. We tried to ask the cashier/barista but they were slammed with customers so we ccouldn't get their attention. IDK the place is just poorly organized and messy! There are tables for people to make artwork which is nice but on a busy Saturday it might have been nice to clean those areas up to allow people to sit. Sorry guys... *You need a dedicated barista! People waiting 20+ minutes for drinks is insane especially when the food comes out relatively fast. *Please clean up your restaurant. The amount of flies was gross and no one wants to swat them away from food & drinks. *Tell people if they should bus their own tables and if so.... *Make it clear where to leave plates, cups, garbage, compost etc.
