My one only complaint was that their lentil soup isnt the traditional middle Eastern lentil soup. Looked more like a veggie soup with lentils in it. We didn't enjoy the soup and didnt finish it. Everything started off great--wonderful service and a nice ambiance. However, the whole reason we went was for a specific dish I ordered, and unfortunately, I didn't get it. That was really disappointing. The manager did come over to try and make things right, which I appreciated, but by the time she addressed the issue, my husband had already finished his meal. I didn't want to sit and eat alone, so it just left the whole experience feeling frustrating. OMG! I went here last night because I was in the area. I was so impressed. It was a Saturday night. The parking lot was full. But, we did get a nice booth in the dining room. I loved the clean modern look and the artwork. The food and service were very classy. The servers and staff made me feel like I was at a private club or a high end restaurant. But, the prices were very reasonable. We got $10 off a bottle of wine, which made the bottle a good choice. We both ordered the lemon lentil soup which was amazing. Then we got the fattoush salad which was really delicious! I had the lamb with sweet peas, it was also available with green beans. It was served with perfectly cooked rice. I only consumed half of the meal because I was so full. I took the leftovers home for another day. They also brought a nice bread basket with warm pita to the table (no extra charge) when you get your drinks. They apparently have a few rooms for parties. There was a wedding party in one of the rooms. The restaurant was not loud at all. We noticed other couples and tables of six or eight too, who were enjoying themselves with nice private conversations because despite the crowd it was easy to hear each other. The owner, Ike, came around to our table to see how we were enjoying our meal and visit. I definitely recommend this place and I am looking forward to coming again. read more

I love the food and service at Ike's. The staff are always professional and keep right on top of what you're doing what you need and come to ask how you're doing. It was late on a Sunday night. On our way home from an event in downtown Detroit and not many places are open but we went along van Dyke Road and I remembered Ike's. lucky for my memory, because it turned out to be one of the most awesome restaurants we could have stopped at along the way. I decided to try something different and off of the vegetarian menu I ordered Mjadra which is a lentil dish and was absolutely delicious if you like lentils. It came with soup salad, and always pita bread. I selected the lentil soup to go along with my lentil dinner, and it was a lemon lentil soup, which was unique. For the salad, you get many choices, and I chose tabouli. The servings were huge so needless to say I had plenty of food to carry out and eat the next day for a meal. My friend ordered the smothered chicken dinner, and he got the beef barley soup and a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, which he said was one of the tastiest raspberry vinaigrette dressings he's ever had So all in all, we had a wonderful experience, and walked out of there with full bellies and a big carry out bag. I suggested to my friend that maybe next time we would split a meal because they are so huge and with the soup and salad and pita bread it's just over the top. read more

Every time I visit my family in Michigan we always eat at Ikes. It's my favorite Lebanese restaurant to eat at. Ambience- the ambience is casual, but they have rooms that you can reserve for parties, family gatherings or meetings. The food is fantastic. They have Lebanese food as well as other selections. I always get the Kibbeh Nayeh. It is served with olive oil , Syrian bread, and raw onion. Other items that they offer are chicken marsala , chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, lamb chops, lamb, shank, spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, and several different sandwiches. They have something for everyone. Service - the service is always good. They helped us arrange a reception for a funeral for a family member a few years ago They were very accommodating. My favorite Lebanese restaurant. We've been here several times and every time we are on this side of town, we stop by for dinner. The food portions are very large so I strongly suggest splitting something. We got the small garlic paste thinking it would be enough for 2 and it was actually enough for 4. All dinners come with soup and salad which at most restaurants you get one or the other and not both. I got the chicken kebobs with rice (I love their rice with the right amount of sauce ). Service usually is great but this time it was very slow. We started with a couple appetizers (garlic paste and hummus) and never received our hummus. We constantly had to try to get our server's attention but I think they must have been short staffed and she was given way too many tables to wait on at one time. Nevertheless, the food was great. If it wasn't for the poor service, I would have given 5 stars. read more

We came here for a birthday celebration.Although I have no complaints towards the food I didn't like that the waitress took my salad before I was done without checking with me. The food was mediocre. 5 of us had chicken dishes or chicken salads, and all the chicken was dry. The pita pieces in the fattoush salad were not deep fried, just dry. Our server, although friendly, was wearing an Air Pod in one ear every time she came to our table. The place used to be classy, now it just seems used. read more

We ate at Ike's for the 1st time when attending a funeral luncheon. We were very impressed with the food, the service, the comfort and overall feel of the restaurant. We chose Ike's Easter buffet based and that first, and only, experience, and we were ever so glad we did. We were seated comfortably and right on time with our reservation, despite the many people who were also there to eat. Those who chose the buffet were very pleased with the food variety and quality, and those of us who were able to order from the generous, and varied, DINNER menu were very happy that was also offered. Our waitress, Angie, was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Management staff was welcoming and warm. I cannot wait for the next occasion to celebrate at Ike's. read more

Delicious! We came in after a disappointing attempt to eat at La Saj and it was wonderful. The service was fantastic (it always seems to be when I visit) and the food was phenomenal. I had the chicken shwarma dinner - my daughter was nervous about it and she's now a fan. My son had standard chicken tenders that he enjoyed. My husband tried the fish and chips and really liked them - meaty and light and fresh. We will return as a family for sure. read more

Drinks are very pricey, however, the food is great (and garlic dip with soft, warm puffy bread is AMAZING!) and the portions are large, so you can bring food home for lunch the next day :) The service is very good and the bathrooms are clean. read more

Ike's has been around forever and a staple in the community. I have always had a great meal at Ike's. Been to a couple private events, such as wedding showers and staff are always attentive. My most recent visit was during COVID-19. I also received a coupon via email for a birthday treat - receive a free dessert or appetizer up to $8.99 - great deal and had to use it! We placed our order and told them that I had a coupon from my birthday as well. Asked if they would do contactless delivery and they said they would. Menu wise - so many options! Tons of appetizers, Lebanese cuisine, steak, seafood, you name it. Everything is always fresh and tasty! We pulled up to Ike's and called to let them know we were here. Staff came out to our car with our food and she was wearing a masks and gloves. She set down everything in our trunk and we were on our way! I went with the veggie grape leaves dinner which comes with rice - in addition to a soup and salad - great value and portion. I had food for like 3 days! The veggie leaves are smaller than the meat grape leaves but pack a lot of flavor. The lentil soup is more broth based but has a ton of flavors. The salad dressing is the best! My only complaint is the rice and red sauce is a little bland. Baked kibbeh was delicious - good amount of stuffing and not dry. Hommus is the best - it is thick and creamy but also smooth. Disaster is the best word to describe this company and the experience. They were hired to cater for an event my neighbor was having. They used my driveway while I was not home, drove over my lawn, broke a sprinkler head, spilled grease on my driveway and refused to resolve any of the issues they created. Aside from the issues mentioned above, their food was very bland, lacked much taste and it was obvious they used very poor meat. The last time we had Ike's was in 2014. However, this time was a family Father's Day surprise with the target of lamb chops. The family picked Ike's, so I was not gonna spoil it. The Father's Day lamb chop was tasty. It was topped with feta, spinach, and others while grilled to the right doneness. Rice is a good compliment. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Even the kid said the kid's burger was huge. The chicken in other meals was a little light on seasoning but had moistness, so it's not a deal breaker. The service was exceptional. I found this restaurant on Yelp and really just skimmed the review. I was surprised what a nice restaurant it was (I had expected "diner"). It doesn't have a ton of ambiance, but it's nice with tall ceilings. We were also seated in a circular booth for an added cool-feel. Menus are extremely comprehensive and on iPads. Very nicely done and even have suggested wine pairings. Prices were moderate but fair and the food was AMAZING. Our waiter (Dominik) was very helpful and guided us through our dinner choices. We started with lemon lentil soup that was KILLER and the bread basket was fresh and delicious. Next up, out salads, a house and a fattoush were especially fresh and delish. For entrees, we had the lamb and green beans and the gyro platter. They were huge portions and so fresh and delicious. We each had plenty for lunch the next day. (Very nice that a waitress boxed everything for us - always appreciated). Our bill was very reasonable, especially for all the food we had.
