We had a truffle pasta and their special pizza and it was great! We were welcomed into the restaurant and had a beautiful view! The food was wonderful!

Walking in the Brera area, we walked past this spot a couple times and were greeted by the friendly host. It was early for dinner so we decided to stop for drinks and a few snacks. After ordering our drinks, we ordered the ham and melon dish and the bruschetta. Both were delicious. We spent about and hour and half on the patio area doing a little people watching. While we didn't have dinner, I would recommend for drinks and snacks. Enjoy!

We thought the food was great, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was excellent!

When I think of Italy, this is the type of restaurant I have in mind! It's everything you could ask for - family run, friendly servers, eclectic interior with great patio seating in the bustling Brera neighborhood, and the food... Benissimo! We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and Prosciutto e Melone to start. In addition to the normal menu, they have a whole menu dedicated to their Porcini Mushrooms that they prepare. Make sure to check it out! We ordered the Tortellini with Spinach, Ricotta, and Truffle, a Spaghetti Bolognese, and the Papardelle with Fresh Porcini Mushsrooms. Everything was delectable, even the timing that they brought our dishes out was perfect. It seems to be popular amongst the locals as there were big groups in the lunch time rush. Will be sure to come again when I visit.

Came here as part of a large tour group for late lunch/early dinner. The food must have been extremely unmemorable because I seriously could not remember eating here. (Thank goodness Google photos has that location info). One of many other restaurants that exist to please American palates, I don't think the food is what you could call authentic or typical of the region. The flavor profile was either over salty or bland for most dishes. Service was okay since the group was expected and we received a prix fixe menu. I was happy to have beef and fish served with the many other dishes. Just a warning, most restaurants do have a cover fee to be seated (usually about 2 Euro per person, and water is also charged - never free).

We came here as part of a tour and had our welcome dinner on our first night in Milan. It was a pleasant venue with friendly servers. They asked us about any dietary requirements and were able to accommodate requests (like no dairy in the risotto for one table). The fried calamari was quite good and the mozzarella was fresh and just the right texture. I wasn't blown away by the food but it was good. We had several fried entrees including the ricotta stuffed peppers and fried fish along with the calamari. There were also nice thinly sliced beef strips with arugula which was a bit chewy but nicely flavored. Dessert was a sweet pastry with powdered sugar. There are clean bathrooms and the staff understood English. PROS: friendly service. They did try to accommodate dietary preferences CONS: the dishes we had were part of a pre-selected welcome dinner and were OK. Next time I'd like to pick some of my own selections BOTTOM LINE: the calamari was solid. They have nice staff that speak some English and clean facilities.

Tomato and basil, not on menu but vegan friendly available if you ask

Super busy night during salone but they managed to hustle up a table for three picky Americans. Two vegans . Poor waiter. Nothing on the menu without cheese or butter but we left completely stuffed. Mille grazie! Great pasta with just tomato sauce and basil. Asparagus steamed. Tomato and basil salad. Bruschetta with tomato and olive oil. Wine. Yummmm Thank you

    1. the man who worked there was with really bad humor! So he also offended me! 2. the prices in menu looked fine for a lunch, bu at the end we realised, that elwe also need to pay some taxes, for table and dry bread! So at the end the price was CRAZY HIGH!!!! 3. I ordered a pizza (not from menu, but they let me choose my own) and it was realy good and tasty! Also the caffee latte was good! 4. My friend ordered Gnocchi and salads - it was also tasty, but really oily!

The food was good but not outstanding - the host aggressively tries to attract passing customers but has a good sense of humor so he was entertaining once we were seated. Paying for water, bread/cover is standard so I'm not sure why the other reviewers complained about that - prices seemed more or less average for the Brera area.

Terrible overpriced food, surly service- very close to being a tourist trap - very disappointing in a city known for food

I literally wrote 4 paragraphs and Yelp glitched and deleted my draft…read more Please make sure to ask them to charge you in Euros because we didn't get the option by the owner and he charged us in USD which costs us more. He's been in business for 44 years so obviously he knows but still charged us in USD which is kinda shady IMO. We decided to dine here due to all the reviews and photos posted. When we approached the restaurant, the owner immediately said "Ni Hao" which I thought was kinda racist. What if I wasn't Chinese? Mink felt offended but we committed to dining there so we did. He asked if we wanted to dine inside or outside. Since it was chilly for Mink, we opted to dine inside where it was 90% full due to a Chinese tour group. They all had the same dish so we figured preset menu for them. I wasn't sure what I was going to get but since they all ate the Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta, I decided to order that as it was one of the dishes I was considering. Mink ordered their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare. I'm not sure why but the owner exclusively took care of us. He also made it a point to bring a photo over of Jay Chow saying he's dined there 4-5 times in the last few years. Maybe that's why the Chinese tour group eats there? He was arrogant enough to brag about how much money he's made because of Jay Chow. There were lots of celebrities that dined there from what gathered looking at his wall of fame. I bet he didn't charge any of them in USD *smh* The Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta was really good and probably the best we had in Milan. They must be able to make this dish with their eyes closed at this point with the daily Chinese tour groups dining there. Their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare was decent but didn't have as much seafood in the dish as other restaurants and the flavor was about average. The bread and EVOO offered was legit though! I loved it and I normally hardly ever eat the complimentary bread. Food is good overall and customer service felt extra. If we didn't get charged USD, wasn't getting bragged to about how much money he made off Jay Chow and wasn't greeted with a "Ni Hao" then the place is 4 stars. Since all that did happened, 2.5 stars.
