This restaurant needs to stay on our radar more often! Il Villaggio offers a Happy Hour Menu with drink and food specials. It's $6 off bar menu items, $3 off cocktails and wine, and $2 off draft beers. Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. At the bar, we enjoyed the Filet Mignon Carpaccio, the Shrimp Spring Rolls, and we all shared the Homemade Gnocchi (Porcini cream sauce). Get the gnocchi! For dinner, we ordered the Homemade Lobster Raviolis, Penne Vodka (my love and I split this) and one of the ravioli specials. Everything was delicious. We sat at a high-top table in the beautiful bar area. It was lively and cozy. There was live entertainment but at a comfortable volume. The staff was very welcoming and warm. Even the food runners were engaging. A great time all around!

Where do I start! This place was amazing! The group I was with was sat in a private room. The service was amazing by all staff. The bread that was brought out was warm and paired with a nice dipping sauce. I started off with the calamari that was amazing! I ended the night with some of the best lobster ravioli that I ever had. Will definitely be going back to taste more of the menu.

I wanted to try an Italian restaurant location that I have never tried before. I scrolled through Yelp and found IL Villaggio. What a beautiful location! This is a large restaurant with regular dining seating, a bar area, banquet areas, and outdoor seating. It was a sunny but not too hot of a day so I chose outside seating. The penne vodka pasta had the perfect Al dente bite. The drinks were good! The dessert was decadent. My waitress Heather was so awesome. Checked on me but was not overbearing and suggested items on the menu. I will be back Soon!

This was our second year coming here for our anniversary. We love everything about it here. We also sat at the bar tables for playoff baseball because part of our relationship is our love for baseball and it's playoffs baby! We split the buffalo shrimp appetizer which was excellent. The bread that came out the table was soft warm and fresh. Oddly probably for the first time ever we ordered the same thing. Chicken parm and as expected it was awesome. We ordered a side of pasta which came out hot and fresh with the perfect texture. For desert we had the cannoli and again it was amazing. As a treat we had chocolate martinis which were very different than other places we get them however that's not a bad thing because they were also excellent. A few things to note which I always look for. Everything here was very clean. Service was beyond excellent. Everybody who worked here was constantly moving there was never anybody ever just standing around if they weren't tending to customers they were cleaning something and that's the difference between dining and fine dining in my opinion. This is one of the places we always say we need to come to more often I believe if it was closer we would.

The four of us sat at the bar where Dawn (and her counterpart) took phenomenal care of us. It also seemed as if there were numerous regulars at the bar, all of whom were friendly and talkative, which added to the overall experience. We started off with drinks; Stoli Elit Martini, Hendrick's Martini, Blueberry Lemon Drop, and a glass of wine. The Blueberry Lemon Drop was really good especially if you enjoy sweeter drinks. I ended up switching to some kind of Maple(?) Fig Bourbon which was fantastic as well. The fried peppers they serve with the complmentary bread were out of this world. They actually convinced me to buy peppers at the store the next day so I could fry them myself. Prior to ordering dinner, we started with Caesar salads, which were dressed perfectly. We decided to split Crab Cakes for dinner which are served with green beans and mashed potatoes (as all of their entrees are). Let me tell you, these Crab Cakes were up there with the best I've ever had. They were big, packed with lump crab, and had a fantastic outer crust. We just got back from the Delaware/Maryland border and these were better than all of the crab cakes we had there. PSA: Make sure to get one, if not both, of Steak 38's table-side experiences. She had asked to go a few times, so we finally decided to take her on a Friday evening. I started with a Hugo spritz, my husband got the In-Fashion ( their take on an old fashioned) and my mom just got an unsweetened tea. There was an appetizer special - fried lobster tails with a lemon butter sauce - so we agreed it was a must try. While waiting for our appetizer to arrive we sampled the bread service which was a mix of warm cheesy bread, rolls, a flatbread cracker, and a pumpernickel with nuts and raisins. The bread was addictive, especially the cheesy bread, but we had to save room. The lobster was four small battered and fried tails with a side of lemon butter sauce. They were succulent and tender and so delicious. I could have eaten that as my entree, but you know we had to get steak. My mom got the surf and turf and my husband and I both got the Snake River Farms wagyu filet mignon. I got a side of Courvoisier cream with mine. We also did the au gratin potatoes, creamed corn with bacon, and Brussels sprouts. While I have had wagyu before, this was much more lean than I am used to. That didn't stop me from eating almost every bite. It came with a fondant style potato with onion jam, which was unexpected. The sides were all fantastic companions to our steak. We had to get dessert too because life is short, so we did the coconut cream pie and the flourless chocolate espresso cake. The coconut cream pie is a MUST when visiting capital grille. It's light and airy, the crust is buttery, and the presentation is beautiful. The chocolate cake is rich but not super sweet, with a bittersweet chocolate flavor balancing the espresso. Both desserts were great but I'm partial to the coconut cream pie, and I don't normally even like coconut cream pie much. There's is just THAT good. Service was perfectly paced and attentive. Valet parking is a plus. If you are looking for a more of an upscale spot, add this to your list.

My wife again chose The Chop House for her birthday dinner celebration and for great reason! We came on her birthday, a Tuesday evening, for drinks and appetizers in the bar area. The gentleman working valet was very respectful and professional and while I can take or leave valet in most cases, he definitely added to the upscale experience of the entire night. Upon seating ourselves at a high-top, both bartenders on shift greeted us with huge smiles and very warm hello's. They are familiar faces to my wife's family and were genuinely happy to see us. Unfortunately, we learned my wife's family's favorite server, Debbie, recently retired but great for her! The bartenders were fabulous themselves. Service, personability, mixology skills were all top-notch. They fit the sophisticated vibe of the restaurant perfectly. We started with drinks of course! A Stoli Elit Martini with a twist, a Dirty Martini, an Apple Butter Old Fashioned, and a Tito's and Club. The drinks came out beautifully. Smooth, chilled. I ordered the Apple Butter Old Fashioned as I was intrigued, but skeptical. While I thought it was good, I'd prefer a regular or Smoked Old Fashioned to the Apple Butter. My wife loved it though. We ordered lots of food to split and each appetizer we picked was as good if not better than the next. The Tuna Nachos fresh and had a tropical, savory flavor with pineapple mixed in. The Kona Tips were tender, full of flavor coming from the Kona crust and sautéed mushrooms/onions, and were served in a skillet full of sauce perfect for soaking up with bread. I actually liked the Kona Tips appetizer more than I liked the Kona Crust I got on my NY Strip I ordered last year (the Strip was great I'd just prefer no Kona crust on the entree). The Flatbread De Jour was a Kona Tip flatbread, which you may call us crazy for ordering two Kona Tip inspired appetizers, but the Kona Tips are just that good. The Oysters we had were small (just how I like them) and were up there with the best Oysters I've had. We finished up with Fried Calamari. They were lightly battered, fried nicely, tender, and served over a bed of different hot peppers (when I say hot, I mean it!). Everything was delicious and there wasn't one appetizer we chose that I wouldn't order again or recommend to others. We did order a few more drinks throughout the night -- another Elit Martini and a Hendrix Martini with the appetizers and then Bailey's on the rocks and Frangelico on the rocks as after dinner, dessert drinks. We ordered a Brownie Sundae for the table for my wife's birthday while she was excused from the table and the bartender brought it out with a lit candle. The bartender also brought out a complementary miniature Crème Brûlée for my wife as she acknowledged The Chop House's Crème Brûlée as one of her favorites earlier in the night when we were talking about the menu. I thought the entire night went as good as you could have hoped. Valet, bar service, food, drinks, desserts, atmosphere. Everything was amazing and most importantly my wife had a great birthday. The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!
