Through Yelp, Metavision LLC was a company that promptly inquired about our situation and offered to come and give a free estimate. The gentleman I spoke with, Brian, was very knowledgeable and professional. He came and assessed the situation and assured they would be able to resolve our leak issues. He had to check his schedule and let me know when they would be able to come for the repair. Communication was consistent by phone or text and they were able to come within 3 days. I received the invoice for the work and the amount was reasonably priced compared to the average price for the work we needed done. The day of the replacement, we were in communication before arrival, during service, and after the work was done. Brian was actually very respectful and personable. Then he started acting sus. First, he didn't want me to lock the house when he walked in. I didn't get that. Then asked me how many rooms I had and how many people lived in the house ( how does any of that concern him? ). Once I took him to the source, he told me what he thought the problem was and said he couldn't fix it. Fair enough. I walk him out and then he goes he'll "charge $145 only". I understood what he meant but still asked him if it was to fix the problem. He said "no fix, too high (location of issue). I come, tell you problem, $145". He was trying to extort me and obviously I didn't fall for it but wondered if people actually did fall for it. He gestured that he'll write me a receipt for $145 and I told him he could do what he wanted because I wasn't paying. The company rep on the phone explicitly mentioned there was no charge to look at the issue. His command over English wasn't the best, he's Asian looking and his name was Gah/ Hah / Ga / Ha.
