I use to live down the street from this place. When I was 8 months pregnant they opened. I was there nightly. The woman was the best masseuse I had through my whole pregnancy I had the worst sciatica. I would be dragging myself there and walking out feeling amazing. This place is amazing. And they still call me every year on my birthday for a free 30-60 min massage. read more

This is the best massage place I've been to. It's not big but very clean to details. Maggie is very skillful and knowledgeable. She's also extremely caring and welcoming. My mom had Shan and he's beyond professional. Uh, I was too disappointed with this place. I was waiting and watching for them to open. They opened last year. Someone had told me not to go, but as an optimist and a neighbor I had to go anyway. The 1st time I walked in (2015) I noticed it smelled like paint and it still does. They were cutting corners so much that they didn't get non toxic paint. If you like the smell of paint, go here. I'm serious. It's 300 or 400 square feet and you will smell it. If you are pregnant do not go here. The 2nd thing that sucks about this place is that you can hear the staff and receptionist while you are getting a massage. There are walls but the walls don't go up to the ceiling, so you can hear everyone there text, type, talk, breathe, walk. It sounds like it is in the same room because well it is, it's only 400 square feet! Awful. I wanted to say something soo badly, but my masseuse (Maggie) was really, really good, so I shut up. I've been to a lot of massage spots and most are small. Not this small, but small and the staff knows that and everyone tries to be really quite. It's always the customers coming in who are loud. At this spot it was the other way around. The place doesn't have window coverings and is very light inside during the day. If your life depended on going here, wait and go at night. I went a 2nd time this year despite the fact the place still smelled like paint 5 months later and the other staff inconsiderate because I was in a lot of pain and thought ok last time. This place is too convenient, hopefully it doesn't smell as bad once I'm in there and hopefully they have learned from other people complaining to tip toe around that place while someone is getting a massage or just not move. The receptionist wasn't as loud, but you could still hear her breathe, text and move around and the worst part was the masseuse (Maggie again) left the room and was preparing hot water bags for my body without 1st asking me if I wanted them. I wondered where the heck she went and what that crinkling sound was. She was gone for a while then she came back and I felt them and thought ok this will be good. It wasn't. She was in and out of the room probably 5 times refilling these bags while other bags were on my body then she would switch them. I was really upset. It was not relaxing and all I could feel was pain. As I was getting dressed I noticed the painful sensation I was feeling were my calves. They hurt from the heat and were real red. I worried that they were burned they hurt soo bad. Maggie said it would go away in a couple hours. Oh thanks for asking me if I wanted to feel pain and have red marks on the back of my legs for hours. It's a poorly run business. That's all. That was the last time. I would go anywhere else. The nail place on the other side of the block gives excellent massages. Go there. read more

The best massage I had during my stay in NY by far!! Better than the $300-400 massages I had at many high end hotel spas. Ask for Maggie, she is INCREDIBLE and had some crazy effective massage and stretch techniques!! She took me in at 10:30 PM and did a 75 min massage for me. I was rear-ended a couple of months ago and my body was struggling. I had aches and pains and my personal trainer recommended me to the "I Love Spa". When I arrived I was greeted at the door with a smile by Maggie. The atmosphere was soothing and calm. The white walls with draping plants made me feel like I walked into a little oasis far away from the city. Before I began my massage with Shawn, he asked me where I was hurting. The rest is history! Shawn gave the right amount of pressure, and was very aware of how to relieve my injuries. I left walking and not limping. The "I Love Spa" was perfect! They are miracle workers! Seriously the best massages of my life. I have gone a few times and plan to make this place a regular massage. First off, like someone else commented, this is not a fancy spa, and neither are the prices. If that is what you want, you can find that for 3-4 times the price around the corner. iLove is clean and cozy. You have your own room, but the walls do not go to the ceiling. This place is the best for a clean, easy and reasonably priced massage! Sometimes after work I need a massage and don't feel like dealing with a large spa. I Love Spa is super accommodating and very clean. This is not the place for a true high end spa experience but it does just the trick if you need a great massage! Highly recommend. A pleasant surprise in the neighborhood iLove Spa is a reasonably priced, pleasantly clean place for a good massage. Maggie is very skilled. They've been open since November, but I just stopped in for the first time on a lazy Sunday. Definitely worth visiting. read more
