Honest, friendly, and reliable. I have come to Hamlet for multiple repairs and he always does a fantastic job. Recently the oil light turned on in my 2003 BMW 325i and I gave Hamlet a call to see what needed to be done. He told me to come in during the afternoon so he could check my car out. He checked my oil levels and told me that was not the issue. After further diagnosis, he told me that the switch that controls that light was malfunctioning and a new one had to be ordered. He told me it was not a severe issue and that I could continue driving my car for a few days until the part came. Did the repair quickly and efficiently, and for a reasonable price. Hamlet will always greet you with a warm "Hello" and a smile on his face! Always offers water and coffee to you. Oh, and the shop is spotless! How is it possible for an auto shop to be so clean? To buy a new car or fix your car up ? I took my car to Helmet at Image Auto Repair and asked him that question. He looked at my car one afternoon, and let me know what all needs to be done to make the car have good and updated things in it - new brakes, new shocks, 60,000 servicing, new rubber seals, etc. Comparing the price of a new car with financing versus a big repair on my old car, i choose the big repair. I was recommended to Image auto by a friend, and boy am I glad I decided to take their word! I spoke with Hamlet and couldn't be more happy with his service and more importantly, his honesty! Not once did I feel that he was trying to take advantage, in fact you can tell he's been in business for a while and is totally concerned about his clients. I brought in my car once because it was hesitating when I would punch it after a complete stop. Hamlet pinpointed the problem within minutes and offered a temporary fix until I can pay for the actual part that needed to be replaced, which isn't much, just didn't have the funds at the moment. Today I brought my car in because my radiator burst (completely my negligence). He is repairing it at an amazingly reasonable price. He even dropped me off at Enterprise so I can rent a car. I rarely rate businesses but I felt compelled to rate this wonderful little gem of an auto repair shop. At 1pm on Friday afternoon, the started in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata essentially melted, leaving me stranded in Tujunga (about an hour from where I live). AAA referred me to Image Auto Repair (as they are AAA approved) and so I called them and spoke with Hamlet. He told me that it was likely that they would be able to fix my car that day as long as they had the parts. I arrived at Image Auto Body around 2:30pm. Being a smaller Auto Repair shop, I had a bad feeling that they would not be able to get me back on the road and I already started thinking about how I was going to get home on a Friday afternoon, how I would be without a car for a few days, and how I was going to get a ride back to Tujunga to pick up my car. Hamlet was incredibly friendly and honest right off the bat. Much to my relief, he informed me that they were able to get the starter for my car and that it would be done by 5pm. He also was completely up front with me regarding the cost of parts and what the total cost would be. There were no surprises. While waiting, he was very friendly, patient, and informative (which is unusual for someone as busy as he is on a Friday afternoon). Sure enough, my car was finished at exactly 5:01pm and now runs perfectly once again. I was home by 6 and I am happy to say that I am mobile and not without a car, thanks to Hamlet and his guys. It was a happy accident that I stumbled upon this little shop and I am incredible grateful that I did. I called Image Auto up for an issue with my throttle body. After asking if they do work on that, and being told yes, I then explained my situation to the man I spoke to. I told him that my car stopped accelerating while I was on the road, and that the other shop I took it to determined it was the throttle body, but they were unable to replace it for me. When he asked about the engine light, I mentioned that that it had been on ever since I had my engine replaced last year, as the place that put it in didn't reset the computer. He then told me, and I quote, "Sorry, but I don't really want to work on the. I don't want to spend the time to fix something if somebody did it wrong." Excuse me? Isn't your job to... I don't know... FIX things? In any case, I was unimpressed with the laziness and attitude of this employee (I did not catch his name, unfortunately, but it was whoever answered the phone today around 8:30 AM. I will certainly not be taking any future business here, since someone didn't feel like doing their job. read more
