A few months ago I decided I wanted to dye my hair and started the process of looking for a good hair colorist. Since I hadn't dyed my hair in over 5 yrs, I wanted someone with experience. I came across John Torres (IG: JohnSalonDallas). I sent him a picture of my hair and what I was looking to achieve. First he asked how many times I've boxed colored my hair. None. Ive only ever gone to the salon. Even though he stopped responding, I followed him on IG to see his work to potentially schedule a consultation. Until I saw his story. I can understand that not everybody is going to love your work. How you go about it afterwards, reflects on you, your service, and your business. What you do about it, and what you put out there, is all you. I'd like to state that in no way am I affiliated with the client he posted about. I had a haircut and color treatment done by Veronica back in August. I had heard about her from a groupon she posted that was a cut, blow dry, deep conditioning, and balayage for $120 which i thought was great. I called her and she told me not to purchase the groupon because she will just honor the price when i get there. My appointment was at 1pm and i waited 45 minutes because she overbooked. Then when i finally get into the room she looks at my hair and we discussed the price we agreed. She looked at my hair and said because of the length (which is not that long) she stated that it would actually end up being $190 for everything. I was in shock and said i dont understand because we agreed upon $120. She said because the length she would need to use extra product and when that happens she said she has to charge an extra $30-$40. I said that still does not add up to $190! I was furious! And all she could say was yeah well it's just cause of the extra product that it would be $190. I then Requested to not have the deep conditioning treatment if we could keep it at the $120 which was the agreed upon price! She stated that it would not make a difference. As i was waiting for my color to set she finally comes back in the room and states she will not do the deep conditioning treatment or the blow dry and will make the price $160. I was still furious! Then as she is still doing my hair she leaves in the middle of my appointment and someone else finished my hair!! I left with no deep conditioning and wet hair! She should not be allowed to put groupons on the internet if she has no intention of honoring the price! It is a lie and scam! Do not purchase her groupons because they are lies! read more

BEWARE AND ASK 100+ questions of all that's included in price and DOCUMENT DOCUMENT agreed upon price! *If they threatened to call police you show the police the agreed upon price, they say they have cameras so they will show what all was worked on you. 1. She stated extensions would be $150 maybe a little more and after she was done she stated it would be $648. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 2. She then stated to leave the children while they went to get a cash loan! Apparently they've done that with another lady. Oh hell no!! 3. She "does the math" and stated it's actually $688. Either she doesn't know how to do her math or she's liking stealing from ppl. 4. After I take her my card and is paid partly in cash she said the owner is not there and she can't take card. Wait a minute the owner was in the back talking on the phone! LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE! ‍ 5. After she's told that and has no choice but to use the card, she says, " don't tell anyone how much I charged you, tell them $200." I love brazilian blowouts. If you have curly or slightly unruly hair and just want to style it straight and fast. .. do it. Not every stylist will do brazilian blowouts. . My usually lady was busy and needed one quick after a decision to donate my locks. I saw a sign and flee when when I was at yoga next door and thought I'd call. She got me in within a couple of days. Farrah was pretty considerate. It's a chemical so when she got near my face she even put a fan on to help the smell dissipate. She also thinned out my hair that was bulky in the back. She sensed me being nervous and stopped and brought me a mirror. No qualms here, I'll likely be back. She's offering 20% off since it's a new location and plans to have other services offered at this location in the future. read more

I got to Farrah with my hair destroyed by two stylists in the Casa Linda area; the color was a mess & the botched Brazilian blow a disaster. After 4 appointments w/Farrah the change is remarkable. She is the only colorist in the 20 years I've colored that has managed not to get red in the brown.. between that, a great Brazilian Blow & a fabulous cut/style, I'd say she is one of the best in Lakewood - Casa linda area.. believe me I've tried several through the years. read more

I recently purchased a Groupon here to find a new stylist in my area. Veronica was wonderful to say the least. She gave helpful hair care tips that no other stylist has ever told me before. One of which was pointing out my hidden, over-processed hair at the nape of my neck from the previous stylist, and how to care for it until it's gone. She gave me partial highlights, cut, and blow dry in under 2 hours and was professional and reasonably priced. Sold! Definitely coming back! read more

Farrah knows how to cut hair and doesn't take an hour to do it! I have long layered hair and she can wash, cut and dry in 30 minutes.

Farrah is a genius. She's been doing my hair for years, save a few misguided exceptions where I went elsewhere. Those times were mistakes, and I came back to stay. She continues to keep me looking more hip than I believe I am, despite my "difficult" hair. I always leave her feeling like a princess. I wrote all of this directly to the owner 2 weeks ago because I don't like posting negative reviews but I never got the decency of a response so it's my duty to warn people about this place. If you want to destroy your hair this is the place for it. The common joke between the hairstylists is 'if you still have hair left when you're done, it's working'. I'm sorry what kind of standard is that? Am I supposed to thank stylists for not making me bald? They said it would take 6 hours. They said they could get the exact look I asked for, I sent photos and they said they could do it. My stylist was Ana but Farrah said she could accomplish this very simple ombre. It took 10 hrs For some reason she teased my hair before dying it so it took 2 people 2 hours to comb the knots out but really they were ripping my hair out that whole time. Now every time my hair gets wet it bunches up at the roots because SHE PUT DYE ON TEASED HAIR! This whole time she didn't ask me if I wanted a break for food, I was never offered water I starved for 10 hours while she snuck away to eat. She left so much dye on my forehead for over an hour which caused me to break out so bad and I had a photoshoot the next day that I already paid for in advance so that was wasted money. My hair turned out NOTHING like the photo I have them. I wanted my ombre to start low, near my ears, she started it at the top so now I look like I'm just broke like I can't afford to get my roots done. The worst part of all is I was getting it dyed for a role, I'm an actress. Guess who lost the job because of my destroyed hair? Me. She also cut my hair after drying it! I reminded her twice before she dried it that I need it cut and she still dried it and cut it dry anyway so now I have split ends. The fact that this place has good reviews only tells me that those customers have never had an average or above average quality hair stylist. Thanks for ruining my 300$ hair 500$ shoot and 2,000$ job. Thank you for making my hair worse than it was before I came in, I am so grateful everyday as I spend twice as long combing through tangles that I never had to deal with before. You suck! read more

I was excited to use my groupon for a haircut, deep conditioning, and blow dry with Veronica since I know a lot of stylists who are new to an area/just starting out use groupon to gain new clients. I was pretty disappointed that Veronica rushed through my haircut (I was in and out in 20 mins) and did not blow dry as advertised. She said it would cost extra to blow dry since my hair was longer than shoulder length, which was not advertised. It would have been worth her while to blow dry as advertised and earn my repeat business, but instead I just feel ripped off. read more

We agreed on a date to color my hair I wanted to go a bit lighter and that day he texted me 2 times changing the times. Afterwards he calls me and tells me he can't do it because "he doesn't want to take the risk of breaking my hair" I was not even trying to go that light but anyways so unprofessional and I will never recommend this place to anybody read more

Went to one of their hair stylist, my appointment was at 2:30 she was cramming so many people in her schedule that day that I was not out of their till after 6pm. My hair color was botched and my hair cut even worse. when I asked for my money back or if she could fix my hair she threatened to sue me and has not responded to any reconciliation. read more

I went to Victoria at Image by Farrah... DO NOT GO TO HER! I used her Groupon for highlights and a hair cut. I read reviews saying this was a great salon. Victoria not only cut my hair shorter than I asked for (showed her pics) she also gave me the worst hair cut of my entire life. I will now spend the next year cutting it every few months to get it to where it needs to be. I am VERY unsatisfied and truthfully, angry. I went to a different salon two days later to see if they could fix it, which resulted in 5 of their top stylists standing around me and gasping "We've seen some bad hair cuts, but this by far is the worst we have EVER seen." Please please please save yourself from having this traumatic experience happen to you as well. My money back wouldn't even make me happy at this point, I just want my hair to grow. As for the color... she didn't do a real "partial" highlight, and it truthfully didn't look any different as far as color when I left. read more
