She didn't promise us success but she did tell us she was going to give it her best shot. So, she got to work. She puts a good half hour into it, has another person help her out. Got some smaller ones out but the big one remained untouched. We warned my daughter that you going to have to get it cut, and we were right. Elizabeth called us over and said well we're gonna to just chop it off. We said ok. She worked for maybe another 30-45 minutes and my daughter had this cute layered cut that she of course loves! New location, new job, why not a new cut? I sat on the chair and Robbie asked what I wanted. I replied, "I want something different, but I am not sure what. Can you just do something for me that will compliment my face?" Without any hesitation or a thought, he knew what to do. Before he cut my hair, he did tell me what he was going to do and even though I couldn't see what he was seeing, I trusted him. As he was cutting away, I kept seeing my hair, piling up on the floor. It was like 5 inches and a lot of it just flying off of my head. I started to regret my decision. Once he was done cutting, I told him not to worry about drying my hair since it was raining really hard, but he refused and said that we needed to see what my hair was going to look like. He dried it and also curled my hair to give it extra volume. I think I lost 5 pounds after he cut my hair, but to be honest, I absolutely loved my hair cut! After years of having the same hair cut/style, I actually felt like a new person. Weird, right? I felt younger, looked younger, and the look was fun and modern. After about a 30 minute wait, I was introduced to my stylist, Kim Curling. Kim asked several intake questions about my hair, my daily routine, and my preferences before starting. Typically, I'm hard pressed to find a stylist who doesn't cut my hair too short on the first try -- but Kim did an excellent job staying in my comfort window. She also was very helpful by introducing me to a new styling product that is amazingly low maintenance, helps maintain my curls, and doesn't make my hair stiff as a board! Overall, it was a good experience. In terms of my star rating -- I went with four because it was an expensive endeavor ($80+), and for that price, it didn't come with spa perks that I've come to expect at that price level (aromatherapy, skin/scalp treatments, complimentary tea/coffee, etc.).
