Essentially, despite the yelp profile stating a "free estimate", it will cost you closer to $200 to get a quote. I see this as false advertisement. In addition, when the technician concluded that the problem was the capacitor, I received a final quote of $600. When I googled the price of the same capacitor online, the price range was in between 75$ - 150$. Essentially, they are charging a premium of at least $450 per replacement for a single part (capacitor). Despite their professionalism and quality work, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If price is not a concern for you, and you would rather pay twice the market value for a job then you should definitely choose them. EDIT: I actually googled the price of a capacitor and offered to buy my own. I was told that by the technician that if I purchased my own capacitor that the company would not install it. In conclusion, they did not address any of my concerns. Unfortunately, after reading the other bad reviews, there seems to be a consistent pattern of discrepancies between what they tell customers and what they instruct technicians to say on site. Making an honest living is so much more rewarding than making it dishonest living.

Steve made sure that at the end of the project, he was there to ensure that the inspection passed without any issues. They had a young man and his partner came out and they went in the basement and to the roof and told me all the work I needed done. They had to add a new and wide liner, fix the deteriorating staccato, ensured that there was no chance of carbon monoxide and of course the cap. It was well worth the investment. The first appointment I had there was a scheduling mishap so the woman that took my call offered to deploy an emergency weekend team but I opted to reschedule for the next week. The work was done in a few hours. I was worried about squirrels still getting into the attic so I put a metal trap up there but nothing has been in the attic since and no water seems to be coming through the wall. Highly recommend.

Before I found Osmin, I had gotten 2-3 other companies to come, evaluate and give me estimates for the repair. But I just did not feel comfortable with their explanation of the problem and how they were going to fix it. And, Osmin was the only one who could guarantee he could fix my smoke problem. Evolution is a small business and Osmin is the one who evaluates your chimney, knows exactly what needs to be fixed, creates the quote and performs the work himself! I think that was the big difference between him and the big companies. Also, he was very honest and gave a good price. He did so much work: remove the old terracotta liners, install new metal liners for both my fireplace and furnace, built up the brick wall between the two shafts (there was a big hole which was the main reason the smoke was coming back into the house and which none of the other companies addressed), coated the interior with high temperature cement. Then he worked on the exterior: power washed the stained bricks, replaced some damaged bricks, replaced the chimney cap, and even matched the color for the exterior mortar. It took him 7-8 days to finish the work on my chimney. He only takes on one job at a time which I also appreciate. Lastly, the smoke problem was fixed! I was truly amazed. All the smoke went up the chimney and I barely smelled any smoke in the house. Even on days when there was a little breeze outside I could enjoy a beautiful wood fire in my fireplace. On top of that, I was asked to sign paperwork on a laptop without being given a proper chance to review it, which I regret.
