My BFF and I come here often for a Ritual pickup on our girls' nights ... doesn't get much better than pad thai, wine, and Netflix. It's never very busy, but don't let that deter you because as it turns out, it's a great little spot to dine in as well. Most recently, we came with a group and had a delightfully cozy dinner in. I normally order the vegan pad thai but this time I wasn't as hungry, so went with the coconut soup. Had no idea what to expect and I loved it! Everyone else was thrilled with their dishes too, arriving beautifully plated and overflowing in portions! Service was great and aside from them not having the Malbec we wanted, everything was perfect. 4 stars for food and presentation! Wow, pieces of art rather than food! We had the paneng curry and pad med chicken as mains and the chicken wings for appetizer. LOTS of flavour and the food was plated beautifully. But a bit too much MSG/fish sauce, because it was way too tasty... I would dial this back. This place is near College and Grace Street (Near Nightowl bar). The space was intimate so a booking is needed or you can wait/eat at the bar like we did as we dropped by casually. Great for big groups but I saw that not everyone's food was brought out at the same time. (The lobster dish looked ravishing though) They are a bit new (disorganized) but I can look past this because of the delicious food. Washrooms were clean!! I've eaten here a few times in the past, both with take out and in the restaurant. I've always enjoyed the food in the past and would give it 3-4 stars. We just ordered dinner here today (for Mother's Day) and were pretty disappointed. We had two orders of Tom Yum Pad Thai, both mild, one chicken and one shrimp. They were both too spicy for the kids. One of them had way too much lemon grass flavour, or something similar, and was not very good at all. It was such a strong flavour that no one wanted to eat it. This one is going into the bin. The Massaman Curry was good tasting, but had zero potatoes. About the same level of spicy-ness as the Pham Thai, but this was supposed to be spicier. We also tried the Malay curry for the first time and it was decent. Nothing I would want to get again though. We also ordered the Thai Fresh rolls. Not a fan of these either. Rice wrapper was a lot thicker than I was expecting and took away from the dish. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially after the good experiences we've had in the past. read more

Good service, reasonably-priced drinks, and tasty food! Came here for a surprise birthday party with a group of 8. The service we received was lovely! Our servers were attentive and very friendly. We were allowed to bring in a cake, and the staff put on candles and dimmed the lights to sing Happy Birthday. They also gave us plates and cutlery to serve the cake. It was really nice that they put in this extra effort. I ordered a Lychee Bikini cocktail which was so yummy. Their cocktails are Thai-inspired and priced $6-$9. For dinner, I ordered the Lobster Tom Yum Pad Thai. It was a little on the pricey side ($24), but I guess it's lobster. It was really yummy, but a little spicer than I would have liked. I'm always down to try a new Thai restaurant, so it wasn't much of a stretch for me to say yes when Imm Thai was suggested. We started with several appetizers, including some spring rolls and a deep-fried sweet potato dish, and everything was definitely on point. I should also note that our server was very friendly and funny. For my main, I decided to go with the Tom Yum Pad Thai ("stir fried rice noodles with tom yum paste and Thai herbs, served with fresh lime and roasted tomatoes") and I asked for it extra spicy. It's a decent plate of Pad Thai, for sure. I mean, Khao San Road doesn't have anything to worry about, but I certainly enjoyed eating this dish and the plentiful (and very large) shrimps were much appreciated. (I'll say, too, that the dish was actually pretty spicy, although, as per usual, I probably could've gone a little hotter.) read more

We ordered delivery and were so impressed !! We visited Thailand and Cambodia just before COVID and this is the most authentic and delicious Thai food I have had before going or since returning. The food arrived very quickly, hot food was still hot. Lots of sauces and toppings. Mango salad had tons of mango, cold vegetable rolls were great. It reminded me of chinese hor fan. And I like hor fan. Pad Ka Pao - this is a minced pork dish. Our friend told us that this was the street food that she ate a lot while growing up. So it was cool to have a taste of her childhood, and to say that even as a child, my friend already had impeccable taste growing up lol. Lobster Tom Yum Pad Thai - good dish. Not spicy but tasty. I have been hoping to check out Imm Thai Kitchen since last year but somehow never got around to going there until a recent meet up with one of my favourite foodie friends. Imm Thai has an understated elegance. The grey toned seating, white painted brick walls, wood accents and wooden feature wall offer a contemporary and overt Thai inspired decor. My friend had posted pictures of a delicious looking egg crepe wrapped pad Thai while in New York and when I saw that Imm Thai had a similarly prepared pad thai at this restaurant, we were both eager to try it. However the wait staff sold us on the house specialty Tom Yum pad thai with lobster. This was a beautifully presented dish with two halves of a small lobster tail topping the nicely al dente rice noodles. It came with some yummy shrimp chips and a great garlicky citrusy sauce (presumably for the chips). We both really enjoyed the spicy kick in the pad thai, which was a welcome change from the sometimes overly sweet way that many restaurants prepare pad thai. We also ordered the Penang Chicken curry. This came with a conical mound of red rice. The curry itself had generous amounts of crisp long beans and carrots and a good amount of chicken (which was a bit dry). The sauce was creamy and peanutty but surprisingly sweeter than I've tasted elsewhere. It made a nice sauce for the pad thai and together tasted a bit like khao soi. Checking in on Yelp scored us free thai iced teas, which were sweet and refreshing on the warmest winter day we have had so far in 2019. Has some serious Thai cravings and wanted to try a new place so stumbled upon Imm Thai kitchen. So happy to have found this place. Finding parking in the area was quite a challenge on a Saturday night even on the surrounding residential streets. We checked in on yelp for free Thai ice teas were at a perfect level of sweetness and came in very insta worthy glass jars with cute labels. We ordered the Tom Yum shrimp pad Thai and the special lobster khao soi. Pad Thai and khao soi are typically my go to dishes for Thai food and both dishes tasted great! The Tom Yum shrimp Pad Thai (17.99) was huge and the shrimps were plentiful. The Tom yum flavours weren't too strong...didn't really taste the difference with your typical pad Thai to be honest. Khao Soi lobster (20.99) was my favourite and it came with 3 pieces of halved lobster tails. The lobsters itself were small but all in all still a great price for lobster. I wished there were more noodles though, the portion felt a lot smaller than the pad Thai. The service was also also swift and thoughtful. How do I even explain what Thai hospitality means here or how Chef and owner Mo opens up her warmth to you so easily. I probably would not be able to articulate it completely but the simplest of answers would be to come here or Sala Thai (her original spot). If you're super lucky, she'll be there, and you'll feel it immediately. The new space is open and has a great eye-catching detail at the bar. Though it has a lot of natural grain woods detail, it never feels country or low key... there's a nice relaxing refinement to it. We were told that Chef Mo was the one designing it and I think she did a nice job. Typical of most spots in Toronto, it's not large but Imm Thai does not cram in the tables. You feel comfortable at your table and you have your own nice little space. That being said, I feel the space is possible too small for the immense generosity I experienced. Service here is what kept me smiling ... between Chef Mo and Porruthai, we were left overwhelmed with such sincere warmth. If you have Porruthai helping your table, listen to her suggestions. Honestly. Her knowledge of the dishes are spot on... we ordered and then she came to our table with further suggestions. We should have listened to her the first time around. She will not steer you wrong. Note to anyone... Thai Hot is HOT. Like, you will experience a heat that your tongue is not prepared for. It's flavourful but even their medium pushes my limits and I can handle Canadian medium. Another thing about the flavour here, this is not your Thai food court special. True Thai herbs flavour the dishes and they're brought over from Thailand according to Mo. Lemongrass, ginger, fermented seafood, galangal, coriander, shallots... all the flavours are here. I love how they dont shy away from the true flavours of Thailand. I even encourage them to push it to be more like home... one of their dishes was tame to please a more North American palate. I get why they do that but for me, bring the Thai flavours home! Papaya Salad - Ok, this killed my tongue but in the best way. Thai medium is really North American hot. And this flavourful salad was just delicious and pungent. Bright, bold, lightly sweet, but highly flavourful with a touch of the sour and umami. It's quite different than your regular Thai salads. It also comes in a very cute display. 4.5/5 Mun Tod - Crispy matchstick sweet potato. This is just a fun snack to have on the side. Not a must do but for those who want some crunch in your life, this would be a nice add. 4/5 Tom Yum Soup - This... this is legit. It had a wonderful balance of sour, savoury, heat, and a touch ... herby citrus? maybe from the lemon grass? Either way, this was genuinely one of my favourite dishes as it was perfect the winter weather with nice plump and perfectly chewy shrimp. Some how it was not overcooked. Just great overall ... you can adjust the heat. I went with mild and it was full on flavour without the runny nose. 5/5 Laap Tod - This was recommended by Porruthai and she was completely right. Just amazing flavours and in a completely different way. It's froed Thai pork meat balls and its so flavourful. It's a bit spicy, definitely a lot of good porkiness. Honestly, unexpectedly so good. 5/5 Tom Yum Pad Thai - This is unique and completely created by Mo. It is also a shining example of the expression 'OMG' when it arrives to your table. It has a sizeable lobster tail on top of a wonderful pad thai. I loved it because the noodles were perfect. Just individual, not overly sauced ... just amount of dry stir fry. Just so well executed and the flavours... so good. They were savoury, sour, touch sweet, and a lot of wonderful herbs. Honestly. I like this better than the regular street version. 5/5 Kheaw Wan (Green Curry) - We got ours with shrimp and it was filled with a lots of big chunky vegetables perfectly cooked and wonderful QQ shrimp. Of all the offering, this was the most muted from the usual Thai flavours. It was a bit heavier on the coconut milk so it was a much more sweeter... it was a nice creamier texture though! Of all the items, this one I felt they could push the edge a bit more to be showcasing the amazing nuances in Thai cooking. Give a bit more of the spices and flavours that traditional THai food has... that being said, we finished all of it so it's a good curry! 4/5 Overall, there's a lot of heart, warmth, and great cooking here. I saw a number of my Yelpie friends checking in here on IG and decided to bring my beau with me. Make sure each person checks in here for a free Thai iced tea, which is usually worth $5.50!! On Tuesday, their appetizers are half off if you order a main, but I got lucky and my beau and I got the discount on the appetizers without having to order any main. So we paid only $13 after tax and tips for a meal that would have otherwise costed us about $41 in total (including drinks, and this is only because I didn't have to order a main to get this app discount, otherwise, I would have had to pay $25 more for 2 people). Talk about $28 worth of savings!! The food and service here were great! My Yelpie friends sure has good taste! We got 4 items for the price of $13. What a deal!! So blessed to be a Yelp Elite!! The location is a bit far for me and finding nearby parking can be a pain, since you cannot park on the main streets until after 6:30 pm or else you would be fined... so it's Green P or side streets for the win. The decor is bright and modern with classic wood walls and tables. Love their 'enjoy' sign right near the entrance and their daily specials outside the restaurant to grab passerbys' attention. Their iced tea was AMAZING!! It came with a paper parasol and it would be perfect year round, especially during the summer time. Reminds me of the classier and much more hygienic/environmentally-friendly presentation/packaging than ones you get at night markets!! College Street now has a wide variety of cuisines in Lil Italy. Imm Thai was recommended by a good friend so needed to try. It was easy to find and the staff quickly sat us at a table. There was so many choices that we needed to ask the waitress for some help. One of the new dishes that is not on the menu yet was the Lobster Khao Soi. The sauce was creamy and not too spicy with a few lobster tails to share. Noodles were done right with great presentation. We also ordered some chicken skewers and taro fries which were both nice. The dessert was the best and it tasted like as if we were in Thailand again. Mango sticky rice was done perfectly with enough mango and sweet sauce. Yelp recommended this restaurant to me two weeks ago when it first opened, so of course I decided to check it out. Located in ossington, this is a small and cozy restaurant. The menu was very comprehensive and had all kinds of Thai dishes. I settled for the shrimp pad thai. It took around 15 minutes for the food to come. When it came, it was wrapped in an egg omelette. I broke the omelette to reveal a huge portion of pad Thai. There was lots of shrimp and the noodles tasted delicious in their sauce; mixed with the egg and you get a filling AND flavourful dish. Don't pay attention to their website: no longer doing the Lobster pad Thai special on Sunday and Monday (she said that was "only for Covid" -- what does that even mean? Is Covid not around anymore??) Talk about yummy authentic Thai food!! What attracted me to this restaurant was their lobster tom yum pad thai. We came here for a birthday on a saturday night, lucky we made a reservation as the restaurant is quite small with limited tables. With a big group, we pretty much got to try almost everything on the menu - from the fried fish cakes to pad thai to fried rice, curry and mango sticky rice. The only one downfall that we had was that there were a few items we wanted to order but was not available( ie. chicken wings & thai iced tea icecream), and the meat in the paneng curry was also a but dry. Overall price is also pretty good, comparable to other similar thai restaurants. We paid about $30 per person including tips. They are now bringing the same consistency of great authentic Thai tasting food, hospitality & service along with the food presentation that comes along with a smile. The Khao Soi was also pretty good and the boiled egg was interesting because I've never had it like that before. My least favourite would probably be the Pad Thai. It was a bit dry and although the egg wrapped around is the same way they serve it in Thailand, I prefer scrambled eggs in my Pad Thai. I was expecting the food to be spicy, especially since we requested it be made extra spicy. I had Thai iced tea for the first time and to be honest it wasn't as good as I imagined it to be. It consisted of strong black tea and evaporated milk. The portions were okay (for 3 people), but not huge like other Thai restaurants where I end up with leftovers. If I do return, it would probably be to try the signature lobster Pad Thai, which looks super cool. I liked my experience at Imm Thai. The restaurant is fairly cute and I liked the dishes I tried. I think my favourite was their Tom Yum Pad Thai with shrimp and also they have these laab flavoured meatballs that I can't remember the name of. The Tom Yum Pad Thai can be ordered with shrimp or lobster, I chose shrimp and the flavours of the noodles were very good. The spice level is good here too, make sure to tell them you can't do spicy foods if that is the case because they don't dumb it down here. The meatballs were really flavourful, with strong lemongrass notes (similar to northern Thai sausages in flavour if you've tried those before). All enjoyed with a cute glass of Thai iced tea. All the dishes were absolutely delicious! The chicken wings were a bit spicy but still yummy. The mango salad was our favourite, we only wished there was more haha. Fish cakes were nothing special, probably wouldn't order again The Pad Thais on the other hand were delicious, both beautifully presented. Surprisingly the portion was really good as well. The Tom Yum version was the perfect amount of spicy for me, too spicy for my girlfriend though so if your not a fan of spicy foods best to go for their regular pad thai. This is by far the one of my favourite Thai restaurants solely based off of the Pad Ka Pao. The dish is so well presented. The egg, meat and purple rice is honestly the best mouth full you can have. Also got the Lobster Tom Yum pad Thai. Something about this is worth splurging for @23 dollars. I am totally biased with the Pad Ka Pao but this too was way better than any pad Thai you'll get. Got takeout from Imm Thai* My boyfriend and I decided to grab a quick bite and was in the area. I ordered off of Ritual and got the Authentic Pad Thai (with chicken). The food was made fast and hot! The dish is wrapped inside with a shell of fried egg and went really well with the noodles. The noodles were a little saucier than I was used to but not soggy. Loads of chicken that were great quality. Portion size was great and I would've had left overs if my boyfriend didn't devour it. Imm Thai Kitchen did a fabulous job of making my elopement luncheon feel extra special!  Everything from the fantastic e-mail communication, accommodating for bringing in our own cake and balloons, the fantastic personalized prix fix menu ( laminating one as a keepsake for us was SO thoughtful!), to playing entrance music and wedding playlist for our afternoon feast! Both we and our guests could not rave more about the food, and especially the Tom Yum Lobster Pad Thai! I wish I could eat everything on the menu and plan to return back to the restaurant in the future to do just that!
