We stopped in at this pizza joint on our drive from Indiana to New Mexico, mostly out of curiosity, because we had never tasted Saint Louis-style pizza. Imo's seemed like a logical choice, so we went to Yelp and chose the location closest to where we were...there are 50 locations! There wasn't much seating either, but the people who did come in were just getting take out, so we had it to ourselves. The pizza is definitely unique. The cheese, provel, is more like a cheese sauce than a thicker layer of cheese. The pizza doesn't have much sauce to it other than the cheese. We had it with bacon and hamburger. The crust is super thin, but it held the toppings up pretty well. The pizza was good...overall, the style was interesting. Gotta love provel & I do. I don't live in STL so I try to get Imo's any chance I get. This is a good location to hit up outside of the city. The inside is small so not a lot of dining space. It looked very busy for carry out. Pizza was good, people there were very nice and friendly. My daughter got the mostaccioli and it was just ok. Not the best - so better to stick with pizza, toasted ravioli, and provel bites. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! EXtremely disappointed!!! Ordered 2 pizzas with extra sauce So we would have leftovers for the next day. Neither of the 2 pizzas had extra sauce, they were as dry as the Sahara Desert. I tried to call the night we ordered them and was unable to get through. My husband called the next day and spoke with Jay, the manager, and was told there was nothing he could do other than put a note in the system so we never have to ask for extra sauce again. We are from Wisconsin and thought we would try St. Louis style pizza. It's hot as Hades out today so we thought "let the delivery person go out in this heat." The young lady that took my order was very sweet and patient, answering all my questions. The pizza was promised in 30 to 45 minutes and we received a nice hot pizza in about 25 minutes. Overall excellent service. Now, the pizza. Interesting. We ordered pepperoni, onion, olives on the entire pizza with green peppers and mushrooms on half. It came exactly as ordered. The toppings were finely cut and tasty. The sauce was nondescript and then the cheese. To us Wisconsinites it seems like a white Velveeta..a strange texture and unusual flavor. Imo's is very popular with the natives but I thought it was terrible. I must say Imo's has very good sandwiches, I highly recommend the Imo's special I think its called, its kinda like a Italian sub. I love IMO's. Now, if you're not a St. Louisa , you maybe won't, but different strokes for different folks. That being said this location leaves a lot to be desired. We've tried delivery twice, and both times, our orders were messed up. The manager was somewhat helpful in getting it fixed but it took over 30 minutes to redeliver a single sandwich when they're literally 3 minutes from our door. I'm in a business that offers a delivery service. If we make a mistake, we fix it immediately. Even if the sandwich takes 10 minutes to prepare and bake, SOMEONE should've brought it to the door in less than 30-40 minutes. The mistakes seem to happen because they don't read the instructions on the items. Even something as simple as "PLAIN" was overlooked. No cheese on a basic side salad. I don't mind paying the higher price for good IMO's but I don't care to pay that much for crappy imo's. Three stars is because I love imos and that provel. read more

Staff is polite. But the pizza is terrible. The crust, while crisp in the way I'd expect of a thin crust pizza, is bland. The sauce lacks complexity and is overly sweet, akin to tomato paste with some seasoning. And the cheese, perhaps I'm not a fan of Provel, but it is tough and stale tasting. Put together it tastes similar to what would come in a Lunchable back in the 90's. Overall a disappointing experience, especially for the price. read more
