I've eaten here on and off for years.Service is quick, friendly, and efficient, and the food is always good. We've never had a bad dish from the extensive menu. I'm always glad they include free tea. One thing that's a standout is their sesame beef -- but don't order it to go. Fresh out of the wok, it will steam itself in the to-go container and lose the delectable crispiness which goes so well with the hot sweet sauce. The dish is quite amazing when eaten at the restaurant. You can carry home the leftovers and they will be fine. I usually avoid chow mein, but the chicken chow mein here is tasty, fresh, delicate, and satisfying -- really good for an upset stomach, a picky eater, or the non-adventurous, and it's a real crowd-pleaser. The tofu and vegetable soup is simple, elegant, and delicious, plus you can feel virtuously healthy. It's another dish that's great if your stomach is a little iffy. At dinner we usually order from the entrees that come with soup and egg roll, and we ask for fried rice instead of steamed. What a joke of a restaurant this place is! First and foremost, let me start this review by concretely stating this is a cheap, no-frills, dive-style Chinese restaurant with low quality ingredients and, therefore, low prices. The usual. But what earned this place a 1-star rating is not necessarily the quality of the food (or lack thereof), but the manner in which they execute their menu. I ordered delivery from this restaurant on Eat-24, an excellent third-party website, at about dinnertime last night. I ordered the Vegetable Chow Mein, a noodle dish, and my friend ordered their Sesame Chicken. The food arrived on time, but when I opened my dish it was simply a container of vegetables with these strange, crunchy flakes that one normally puts in a soup. I thought to myself this was both strange and hilarious at the same time because Chow Mein is supposed to be a "crispy" noodle dish that is pan fried, slightly more cooked than a Lo Mein. Apparently this restaurant thinks "crispy" means "crunchy". But, let me emphasize, Chow Mein is a noodle dish for sure. Not the case with this restaurant! They gave me these disgusting soup crackers and a load of smelly vegetables and tried to pass it off as Chow Mein. I live in California, and maybe this is some cruel Colorado joke that the Chinese restaurants play on visitors here, but apparently this is normal to them. Eat-24 called the restaurant back and after the establishment refused to give me a refund, Eat-24 themselves had to issue my money back because they felt bad about the situation. They also agreed with my notion of what Chow Mein ought to be. Kudos to Eat-24, and shame on you Imperial Dragon. So...case in point! If you plan on ordering the Chow Mein from this restaurant please make sure you want packaged soup crunchies instead of wheat or egg-noodles. I'm still laughing about this whole thing. Besides the fact that I have been getting sick all night and am almost not well enough to work , this is the worst service I've ever had and from the owner no less . I ordered delivery and motified a part of my meal of which I didn't receive on delivery . I called back asking for the situation to be fixed , on top of my order being wrong the entree that was delivered was so oily it was placed in a plastic bag to keep it from leaking . However if this is what constitutes as excellent Chinese food, I won't be eating any Asian anymore. The service was fast and friendly but the food leaves much to be desired. I had the almond chicken and the Mongolian beef. Both had very little meat, and was very bland. I'm not a bug fan of heavy sauce but I like my stir fry to taste like something. After opening the chicken and tasting it, my wife and I ended up putting the majority of it in the garbage as it didn't taste or smell "right". Unfortunately, after a pretty good first impression, the Imperial Dragon missed their mark today. I placed an order for delivery via the Eat24 app (which works really well!) at 8:25 MDST. The estimated delivery time was approx. 45 minutes, and I received confirmation that the order had been confirmed. After an hour of waiting, I called the restaurant directly. The woman that answered tried to act surprised that I had an order and claimed they never received it. Now, all the cooks were gone. She told me to call Eat24 to get a credit. Guess I was out of luck. I called Eat24 and spoke to representative Angel 9:48PM MDST. I explained my issue, and she promptly contacted the restaurant. When she came back on the line, she confirmed the restaurant claimed they never received the order. However, Angel informed me that the Imperial confirmed receipt of the order on the tablet that Eat24 provides the restaurants it delivers for. By 9:57PM MDST I had received confirmation from Eat24 they cancelled the order and are releasing the funds immediately. Mostly pretty decent but sometimes the lo mein can be oily and the chicken stringy. Other times it's incredible. Delivery is usually pretty quick but tonight not so much. That's why 2 stars. Literally would never spend one penny here ever again, if my life depended on it. Ordered online through Yelp at around 7:20. Was given an estimated delivery time of 8:53. Knowing they close at 9, I called them at about 8:55 to get an update. I give the lady my address and she is clueless as to my order at all. She tells me that she didn't get any order from me. I try to retrieve my online banking info to see if I had been charged, and I told her this. She said that they didn't get an order so there's no way I got charged. Ordered via the Yelp eat 24 app, second time using with no issues or complaints, everything worked and came through as ordered. Went with the chicken pineapple pannang curry some edamame and sesame chicken. The first thing I'll say is that the portions are what you would expect from a takeout Chinese place and then some, lunch and dinner the next day if you don't crush it the first time. The food: the curry had decent flavor and the veggies were fresh and crisp, only real downside is that when I ordered the spicy level curry, they achieved it by adding sliced jalapeños. Now I like jalapeños, however I've never seen jalapeños in a Thai dish, is assume they are easier to stock and cheaper than Thai chiles, but they don't belong and don't make the dish spicy, just the pepper. Edamame was cooked well and seasoned properly, no complaints but it's an easy one. Sesame chicken was also good, nothing special but it's sesame chicken so that's what you expect. This place honestly never disappoints. I went to a few select Chinese restaurants growing up and never really branched out but I am so glad I did! This place is always crispy/fresh upon delivery and you get a lot of food for what you pay for. The dinners are about 10-11$ and you get enough food to feed like 3 people. The egg drop soup is very good! The egg rolls are crunchy and hearty- the best! I highly recommend. Where's the family dinner with Pu Pu Platter, and the Chef's Specials that I saw on line, that looked SO GOOD?! The waiter told me those were on the dinner menu. I said; OHHHHH...! So we got that figured out and had a very nice dinner. Very good place! Here are a couple of photos of "Treasure of the Sea", with and without mushrooms! I even enjoyed the tea, more than I have at any Chinese restaurant before, and I don't usually even LIKE tea - I'm a coffee drinker! But this tea tasted like nice black tea, with lemony tones, and maybe jasmine. Very nice. Other Chinese restaurants have had very weak tea. We recommend this restaurant and will go back. read more
