More like 3.5 and this review is strictly for an UberEats delivery. We ordered the boat noodle and Panang Curry. The panang curry is actually 4 stars, as it's very rich in that authentic Thai curry flavor. It's packed with peppers and chicken along with a side of rice which we appreciate. I would order again if I'm just ordering curry. Moving on to the boat noodle. It's hard to find authentic boat noodle in the area so I didn't have much expectations but high hopes that this place can be a normal go to. However it's not. The boat noodle broth was not rich nor dark-- it's more like a tangy with notes of tomato, in a sort of light golden brown hue. The beef was extremely tough, almost impossible to chew. There were 0 beef balls, no variations of Chinese celery or morning glory. Instead you get green onions/cilantro. They did have bean sprouts though. However this is not a boat noodle; it should be renamed to Beef noodle soup. The noodle did have some pork grind crumbs which I appreciate. I'm pretty sure they don't use pork blood in their soup base as the broth wasn't thick, dark nor rich. Maybe it's to cater to the customers preferences in this specific area, I'm not sure. So I give this representation of a "boat noodle" a 2 stars. I also requested they put some chili vinegar sauce on the side but they didn't so they must not have it or forgot. read more

Came here with family to celebrate the newly weds. Parking: There's a large parking with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: We had a group of 11, and they were able to immediately seat us. It wasn't busy for a Tuesday night. They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. It's a casual ambiance and not too loud. Service: We didn't catch his name, but the server that assisted us was courteous and efficient. He checked on us a few times and refilled our waters. Our food also came out quickly after ordering. Food & drinks: Each of us ordered food to share. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and iced Thai tea. The Pad Thai came out steaming hot and seasoned well. The chicken was cooked deliciously. I didn't get any spice because I can't handle Thai spiciness lol. The portions sizes are more than enough for two people. I thought the Thai tea was good, but I prefer equal portions of creamer and tea. Their version was stronger with less creamer. I also tried the Fried Rice with shrimp. This place is so good. Came here for a date and I wasn't expecting much for a Thai place in Anaheim hills, truly questioning their authenticity, but I was so glad to be wrong. There's so much flavor. We got the curry and boat noodle soup. That was already a win as most Thai places I've been to don't even offer boat noodles. An elder lady seated us and took our order, no chit chat but she was very nice and quick. She was also patient since we took some time going over the menu. Still our favorite Thai food!! We've been eating here since they opened years ago and the quality and flavor are still amazing! Our favorites are the spicy eggplant with tofu (you can customize the spicy level on almost all the dishes so don't be scared to try it it's delicious!), the garlic pepper with chicken, the chow mein with chicken, the wonton soup, and the BBQ ribs. The veggies steal the show! They are always fresh and perfectly cooked and make eating healthy feel like an indulgence! The ambiance is nice and it's a great place to meet up with friends for lunch or for a dinner date. They also offer carry out and when we visit family and friends we order carry out almost every day!!! We had dinner on a quiet Thursday evening, with only one other couple in the restaurant. At the end of the meal, we paid by cc and left a cash tip. We clearly designated no tip to be taken off the credit card. Imagine our shock to discover that they added an 18% tip, in addition to the cash tip!! I got the opportunity of visiting Imperial Thai Cuisine a few times. It's in a small plaza with parking spots directly in front; parking hasn't been an issue. Restrooms are towards the back and are maintained and cleaned. Indoor dining seating is not overwhelming and the ambiance is dark and chill, appropriately decorated. Customer service has always been one guy, manning the entire restaurant. He's attentive but his vibes aren't friendly. Everything I've tasted here is average - nothing I would crave. The orange chicken doesn't live up to it's hype. The pad sew ew, ribs and sweet and sour were all mediocre. It wasn't a place that wow'd me. read more

Ordered this through Uber Eats and the food is an absolute insult to Thai cuisine. The Tom Kha soup is basically a cabbage and carrot stew. It does not taste anything remotely close to Tom Kha. The Spice Keep Mao Noodles are soooo overcooked. And guess what more cabbage. The Red Curry was probably the most decent thing we got and that is a low bar. It honestly looks like yellow curry more than red curry. The Imperial Wontons, had no filling whatsoever, supposedly, it had filling. The sauce that came with it is basically syrup. From the moment me and my boyfriend stepped in, we were immediately welcomed and greeted. Capacity was about 75-80% full and staffing seemed a bit short handed. With that said, I was impressed with the attentiveness from the staff. Even then, our water and follow up was constantly being checked in. It's dim lighted and quite peaceful where we sat. There may be some talking noise amongst other parties, but that's to be expected. Food: was fairly decent considering we're not in a highly populated Asian community. We ended up paying $75 for 4 dishes after tip and tax. Loved the Tom kha soup and the drunken noodle. The chicken was a bit dry, and the papaya salad was pretty decent. We did get level 3 spice for the salad and that was pretty spicy, but enjoyable for us. Could be quite spicy for others. It does complement well with their Thai iced coffee. Food is good. Very nice portions. Loved their garden veggie spring rolls. All the veggies were so fresh! - A thicker piece of tofu would be nice though Ordered their mixed veggies stir fry with pork. It comes with rice (soft and fluffy). I ordered level 3 spicy (it was too spicy) but oh so good! Place is clean. Service is solid (water refills are great). When it was time to pack up some left overs, the lady gave me a proper container to avoid leaks of sauce (this was very considerate and thoughtful). My only thing was they were vacuuming during my meal (which was disturbing my enjoyment of their food). When I told them, they obliged me and put the vacuum away. :) I would like to go back and try their lunch specials as well as other dishes. read more

Last time we went here was about 6 years ago. The food here is ok. We ordered Pad Thai, curry chicken, another chicken dish, beef dish, and some coconut milk soup. The place was clean but why the one star????? Whoever the only the waiter was, has to lose that attitude. And please don't show patrons when you roll your eyes! We tried to be nice but this waiter was just so indifferent that it just ruined our dining experience! Thank goodness there's other BETTER Thai restaurants around the area so NO LOVE LOST here! Not sure if you're from this area but there's a bunch of Thai restaurants and most of them are good but this place was great and the quantity was a lot conspired to other places. We barely finished half and had lunch for the next day. I really liked the papaya salad - the crunch, sour, sweet, salty, spicy . My man loves drunken noodles - it was good but I'm still a pad see ew fan. The Thai basil w beef was great - the meat was tender and the sauce was yummy. We got medium for all and let me tell you it is spicy... The service was great as well - we were greeted and seared immediately and the waitress took our order in a timely manner. The food came out hot, she always refilled our water, and came by to check in on us a few times. I would highly recommend checking this place out!!! read more

I've been coming to this Thai restaurant for years now and we've noticed that they have been a bit inconsistent in their food. I came recently for their lunch special which I usually love. I got the drunken noodles medium spicy with chicken. The noodles were very mushy and the chicken was dry. I read some other reviews also mentioning the mushy noodles so I believe it's been occurring sometimes in their orders. Their food is still flavorful but next time I hope to get something that isn't a noodle even though I love noodles. Other than that, service is great and the restaurant is clean. Hands down the worst Thai food I have ever had in my life. Nothing had Thai ingredients or spices or reminded me of Thai food in any way. The wontons had no filling - just crispy dry wrappers. The noodles were edible, but didn't have much flavor and were not at all reminiscent of Thai food. The tom kha was just bizarre. It was a broth filled to the brim with cabbage and carrots, neither of which I have ever seen in this soup before. No Thai chiles, no cilantro, no kaffir, and not a piece of lemongrass to be seen. The "red" curry was by far the best thing we ordered, and it was just barely mediocre. I had the Thai cashew noodles with veggies. There were hardly any veggies and the noodles were mushy. The sauce was sweet which I didn't like. My husband got the Thai fried rice with shrimp. He liked his but the next day the leftovers were mushy too. The portions are large, enough for at least two meals. They are pricey and add a 10% service charge without asking or disclosing it until the end. I'm giving it a 3 because my husband liked his dish, otherwise I would give it a 1. Came to Imperial Thai on a last minute whim and was blow away by their food and service. I ordered online where they offered a discount. I arrive early and when they knew I was in the building they hurried to complete my order so I won't have to wait long. Food smelled delicious and it was torcher (in a good way) on my drive home. 1. Shrimp Pad Thai is delicious! Exceptional flavors. Shrimp is fresh and cooked perfectly. 2. Pork Drunk Noodles are so delicious! The mixture of flavors are perfect. Veggies are cooked well. 3. Chicken Yellow Curry is amazing! Sweet with spice. Great amount of meat to veg to curry ratio. 4. Chicken Mussaman Curry is great. If you like peanuts, this is excellent. The first time, I had some type of noodle soup, and it was verrrry mediocre. But this time, they had to go blowing me out of the water with the food. This place does not have vegetarian curry. The red, green curry has fish in it. I called to ask and he said they have vegan curry and after getting seated I explained my son is allergic so no fish sauce and he then admitted most of his curry has fish sauce??? The food all had great flavor, but the curries were thinner/watery than we typically like. We liked there was some heat to both curries. The pad see ew also had great flavor, but noodles were falling apart, felt slightly over cooked. We loved the eggplant and tofu in the green curry.
