Food: 10/10 - amazing!! So delicious! - we are sooo much food but the best dishes we had were the Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and Red Bean Sticky Rice Wrap - the braised beef noodle soup is an absolute must try. One of the best I've had outside of Taiwan! - the milk teas were also amazing! Very happy they were all lactose intolerant friendly! Service: 9/10 - everyone was super friendly and accommodating! - our server was so nice! Ambiance: 8/10 - super busy! Definitely recommend making a reservation - atmosphere is very nice! Nice place to eat after walking all around Disney

Had an amazing time at Din Tai Fung I had a reservation, so getting a table was super easy. I definitely recommend making one ahead of time because I noticed they're typically completely booked, especially on busy days. The only downside is the parking situation. You really have to fight for a parking spot, and then you have to walk over to the security checkpoint before making your way to the restaurant. Honestly, the whole process feels like you're going through TSA just to get to dinner . The restaurant itself is pretty noisy and, unfortunately, it wasn't very cold inside when I went. If you're visiting during a hot summer day, just be prepared for it to get warm in there. My ice was melting FAST in my drink! That being said, the food and overall experience were definitely worth it. If you're in Downtown Disney and love dumplings, Din Tai Fung is absolutely worth trying!

Fantastic meal at Din Tai Fung! The food was delicious, so good, we didn't leave a thing on our plates. Amazing service, which is to be expected with anything Disney. There are plenty of seating, but make that reservation because it fills up fast! It's very cool in there, great atmosphere! The dumplings were so tasty, the Xiao Long Bao were absolutely amazing, especially the Chocolate & Mochi, it was spectacular! I highly recommend this place!

We love Din Tai Fung and we just had to check out the location at Downtown Disney! We did put in a reservation when it opened up a month in advance from the date we were going to be in town (we were visiting from Hawaii) Check-in was quick and we still had a bit of wait but it wasn't that long. The service and ambience is always amazing no matter which location we go to! Food was great as always! We ordered our usual dishes and tried new ones. My kids love the chocolate xiao long bao and look forward to it every time we go there!

Review of restaurant thru Delivery by Uber Eats! Food were still warm when delivered to the hotel lobby!! Food always amazingly crafted deliciously! ***Except for the packaging of the braised beef Noodle Soup which the lid got crushed from every other food packages that were packed on top !! It was a mess with soup broth was spilled inside the plastic bag!! Braised beef meat were very tender that melts in your mouth!! Broth was flavorful!! The baby back ribs had perfect glazed sauce BUT meat are not tender falling off the bones!! Love the chocolate and sesame XLB ! The fried noodles had tough skirt beef strips!! String beans had that delicious aroma of garlic as well as taste as expected!! Pork in the sticky rice wrap was not tender !! Grandkids and I enjoyed the dishes just the same !!!

Had lunch with a friend for her birthday and we had a great time. Our server Lucia was phenomenal and had a great personality. The place is very big and has a cute dumpling mascot/statue in the lobby. You can see what feels like a dozen or so people working in the hand wrapped/made wontons/dumpings and noodles... it reminded me of watching the people make cinnamon roll/pretzels in the mall back in the day. You see them making all of it fresh for the day and you can tell when you enjoy your food how fresh it really is. THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS PACKED!! I highly recommend reservations or if you are lucky and patient enough they have walk ups/yelp waitlist available. We waited TWO HOURS! Which for most places can be problematic but not when you are here at the downtown Disney location.... Go on a ride or two while waiting and then return when it's your turn. My friend is pescatarian and we shared the vegan spicy wontons and vegan dumplings as well as the garlic string beans and wok noodles with shrimp. Everything was phenomenal and oddly enough I think the string beans were my favorite!!! They have the perfect amount of garlic and perfectly cooked not too tender not too crunchy! Overall if you are looking for a good family meal this is a place you can go to enjoy. Party of two was about 100 dollars including the tip. Definitely check it out.

We finally tried the Din Tai Fung at Downtown Disney after visiting the Las Vegas location more than five times, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations! The food was just as incredible, the restaurant was as pretty as the other locations I've visited and the service was excellent. The pork ribs are an absolute must--they're truly to die for. We also loved the spicy noodles, the perfectly seasoned green beans, and the hot and sour soup. Every dish was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. If you're spending the day at Disneyland and want a break from theme park food, this is 100% worth it. We'll definitely be coming back on our next visit!

We came, we ate and we conquered. One delicious xia long bao at a time! Din Tai Fung has my heart! If someone suggested eating there a second time today I wouldn't say no! Try the cucumber appetizer and when the tasty morsels are gone, drink the sauce! When ordering dumplings order extra. When making your sauce always add the chili oil! Try the spicy shrimp and pork wontons! You'll enjoy the punch of flavor! The spicy noodles are a must! So flavorful and amazing! Try the mochi chocolate dumplings and don't miss out on the sea salt cream. Bathe me in the please.

Came here to say during the week with my friends and had only a 5min wait. I know on the weekends and during peak times waits can be crazy long. They do take reservations and you can join the waitlist on Yelp so you have time to walk around Downtown Disney or enjoy the park. Staff was really nice and have great recommendations. They have plates for toddlers too. Food and Drinks were delicious and it's always great to watch the chefs make the dumplings. Once you're inside it's easy to forget your at Downtown Disney. Would come back but not sure if any wait time over 30min is worth it, especially when there are other locations so close.

This place is located in downtown Disney and totally worth it! Din Tai Fung aka DTF is a must stop if you are in the Anaheim area. This restaurant offers an authentic Taiwanese dining experience with soup dumplings, bao, noodles and much more! This is an elegant dining atmosphere for families as they are needing to eat while they are exploring the Disney area. They are convenient with guests' options such as pickup to go orders, dining in by joining the waitlist or reserving through Yelp. When it comes to the food, they have high quality ingredients and it is made with love by hand. My favorite appetizer is the cucumber salad. The dumplings are great! I like the chicken ones. The chicken wontons are also delicious. When it comes to the greens, you must check out the string beans with garlic. I appreciate how the garlic was not overwhelming. The various iced teas offered were good. Some had flavorings such as mango. It is important to note that the iced tea (even regular) DOES NOT have FREE refills. I would love to come back and try their dessert with anything red bean or the shaved snow with fresh mango. I would also love to try their fried noodles, rice, broccoli, bok choy and buns. I look forward to coming back next time I am in the area.

Another great experience with this location. The only thing different I tried was their mango shaved ice dessert, everything else I had was the same and just as good as before.

First time here! It was such an excellent experience! Our waiter Bryan was so attentive and helpful, he made the experience that much better. I ordered the new skirt steak noodles, so delicious!! I wish I could have them all the time. I love the new restaurant it's right by the entrance when you enter downtown Disney; super convenient. Can't wait to come back!

Everything was great! Service was amazing.. prompt to take our order and fast to come out. We were sat after about 40 min after we checked in. Got a nice table for two near the window. Very comfortable and nice view of the restaurant. Food was amazing! The dumplings with spicy sauce are definitely what I'll be back for. And those chocolate buns..... to die for!!! So delicious... There is a sign to go inside to get checked in when you have a reservation. Waitlist line is outside I think.

Hi Tyler, Thank you for your question!…

Do they validate parking if you order to-go?

We had lunch last month at the restaurant and they said they do not validate parking tickets.

There are a lot of other chicken, vegetarian, or vegan dumpling on the menu--the dumplings are made in site, but they do not take custom orders for fillings.

I tried to confirm via the app after receiving a text but the reservation did not show up in upcoming reservation section of the app afterwards. What is the best way to confirm the reservation?…

How long is the average wait time?

Depends on what the day, for two people on a Friday evening with no reservations . We got to sit at the bar and took about an hour.

Soy sauce, but I wouldn't risk it.

Do you validate for pick up orders?

We provide validation for dine-in and takeout. The first hour of parking costs $10. Validation for up to 5 hours apply after the first hour of paid parking.

What should I do if I want to make a reservation and my party is bigger than the limit (6)?

For party sizes larger than 6, you are welcome to join us on our walk-in waitlist if it is available.

A voluntary 18% gratuity charge will be added to all parties of 7 or more.

Din Tai Fung is located in Downtown Disney, which is not located in any of the parks and is open to everyone. No park-entry required.

Is the downtown Disney location like the South Coast Plaza location where you can walk up and put your name in for a table? No reservation?

Yes, you can walk up and put your name in person. But it is easier to join the list online. You must be within 3 miles of the restaurant to do so.

Super big pieces filled with pork and shrimp. A must order Chicken Feet - perfect Tang and chew to start your Dim Sum experience. Good for the collagen! Very flavorful. Super chunky pork and not overly sweet. Baked to perfection! Beef in steamed rice paper rolls - this was okay. I felt like the beef lacked the flavor versus shrimp.

Families Beware We…read morestopped by Chubby Dumpling while visiting Anaheim because our family loves Asian food. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to try the food because of the way we were treated. When I asked if they had a kids' menu, the gentleman behind the register (long curly hair, darker complexion) scoffed, smiled, and said, "We don't have a kids' menu," in a way that made it feel like my question was ridiculous. That was enough to make us feel unwelcome before we had even ordered. The ironic part is that we weren't looking for chicken nuggets and fries. Our kids have grown up eating pho, bún bò Huế, ramen, dumplings, vermicelli bowls, salmon, teriyaki chicken, and all kinds of Asian cuisine. Our 4-year-old regularly eats broth over rice, and our 13-year-old has been eating pho since before they were a year old. We were simply hoping for smaller portions because kids don't eat as much as adults. I was honestly surprised that a restaurant located so close to Disneyland, where thousands of families visit every day, doesn't offer a kids' menu or any kid-sized portions. The least expensive fried rice option was around $17-18 for a vegetable fried rice with no meat. That's a lot to spend on a meal for a child when much of it will likely go to waste while you're on vacation. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. I'm disappointed because I was genuinely looking forward to trying the dumplings. They may be excellent--I honestly don't know because we never got the opportunity. Unfortunately, the customer service made us decide to spend our money elsewhere. If you're visiting with children, don't assume a restaurant serving dumplings and other Asian dishes near Disneyland will have family-friendly portions or a welcoming attitude. Based on our experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

But the wontons, shu mai, garlic noodles, and fried chicken baos were all really tasty. Overall the food was pretty solid and service was great, too. It might be the only Asian restaurant among other food choices in Anaheim Packing House and we were glad to give it a try. 18 Folds 430 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805

One of the draws of eating here are the colorful lit lanterns in the evening. However, we ended dining here in the late afternoon while it was still light out. The inside of the restaurant was pretty much empty and it was a nice day, so we dined out on the patio. Even in the daytime, the colorful lanterns are cool to look at and there is a park area right next to the restaurant. The patio is wide open and completely in the shade. This was a late lunch/early dinner for us, so we just ordered a few different items off the menu to share. Their small sushi menu only has four different rolls and they were out of two of them, so we just had a California roll which was fine. The only sushi protein available is shrimp or krab so I definitely wouldn't recommend them for sushi. We also had an order of the chicken egg rolls. They had a good crisp on them, and the serving size was generous and very filling. The sweet chili dipping sauce had a good mix of sweetness with a little heat. They tasted fine, but it seemed like they were pre-made and lacked a little freshness. Finally, we tried an order of the spicy shrimp wontons off the dim sum menu. It comes with ten wontons, and the shrimp were good but the wontons were a little mushy. They had a nice heat that slowly creeps up on you after a few seconds. Service started out ok as we were able to place our order within ten minutes, but it then got progressively slower. I think there were only two other occupied tables and our three items took almost 25 minutes to come out. After the food arrived, we didn't see a server again for quite a while. Final rating 3.6 stars. These are the times I wish Yelp let you use half points because this experience was right in between 3 and 4 stars. I guess I'll round up to four stars for the relaxing patio and ambiance which is probably even better after dark.
