Been to this place twice now with my friends who all enjoy thai food like me. I enjoyed sharing their party crispy plate with its variety of fried appetizers. It pairs nicely with dishes like beef pad see ew noodles, yellow curry with steamed rice and thai iced tea. The orange chicken is also tangy and flavorful. The owner is nice and the food delicious - a perfect combination. Just know that the restaurant closes for an hour between lunch and dinner. In addition, it's good to note that they have a weekday lunch special. Save room for mango and sticky rice if you crave desserts. This little gem is tucked away in Orange worth checking out if you're in the area.

Been here in the past, slightly let down with last time in. Flavors just lacking a bit. Orange chicken (not pictured) was good and crisp but not very "orangey". Spicy Basil with Beef was lacking flavor, maybe needed more spice. Next time I would order medium spice perhaps. Waitress was kind, not busy when we came in. Clean inside.

Nava Thai is located in a small corner lot with limited parking out front. I ordered a take out order online and it was completed rather quickly. The pad see ew lacked a bit of flavored (6/10), the yellow curry was flavorful (8/10), and the pad thai was also tasty (8/10).

The owner and host was very nice and friendly. Very good and flavorful food. This is a hidden gem in the city of Orange.

This is definitely a hidden gem! It's tucked away in an unassuming plaza and there was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived around 12:45 pm. The restaurant is really clean and the waitress was super nice and attentive. We got our food pretty quickly (within 10 minutes of ordering) and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered the yellow curry and pad see ew, both with chicken and mild spice. The level of heat was perfect, not too spicy but with a slight tingle that added a depth of flavor. The pad see ew was super savory with a nice char on the noodles. The prices were also super reasonable and much more affordable than other places we've been. 100% recommend! Ratings: Pad see ew: 5/5 Yellow curry: 4.5/5

Dined here for the first time recently. Although the restaurant was nice and clean, their dishes could've been slightly better. Beef Nam Tok was OK. Tom Yum soup could use some more stuff in it, but otherwise tasted good. The only dish I felt was delicious and worth the money was the Pad Thai.

If you want simple Thai comfort food, Nava is the place to go. It's a small but mighty location. Service is great and food is yummy. I wouldn't say that the food is the best Thai food I've ever had. But it's consistent and it keeps me coming back. I always enjoy their khao soi. I usually like the crunchy noodles on the side so they stay crunchy. The coconut broth was creamy, salty and sweet. They chicken is fork tender and very flavorful. I also ordered their garlic chicken and sticky rice so I can have them together. And oh man that was a really great combo! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the Thai iced coffee. It didn't have any depth to it. The plus side, I thought everything was reasonably price. Overall, the quality and price will keep me coming back for more.

Our view of the entrance from our spacious booth, which could probably seat 6 people comfortably.

Nava Thai is a little gem tucked in the northern corner of the city of Orange in a nondescript strip mall. But don't let the blink-and-you'll-miss-it exterior fool you; the food inside shouldn't be overlooked. What We Ate: We ordered the Khao Soi (coconut curry noodle soup) with chicken, the garlic wings, a side of sticky rice, and a Thai iced coffee. What We Loved: Despite enjoying Thai food for most of my adult life, I'd never had Khao Soi before. Heck, I had never even heard of it before I saw it on their menu. But when I did, I knew I had to try it -- and I'm so happy I did. It was delicious! If you love egg noodles and Thai curries, this is the perfect combination. The sticky rice was good, made even better when combining it with the garlic wings. What We Liked: The garlic wings were good ... but also quite salty. And of the 5 wings we got, 2 of them were overly chewy and difficult to get off the bone. Fortunately, the other 3 wings were melt off the bone and enjoyable. What We Liked Less: The Thai iced coffee was solid, but tasted like it came from a can, powder, or concentrate. If you're hankering for caffeine, it should suffice. But if you're looking for something more authentic, look elsewhere. What We Saw: The interior is kinda small, with a max of about 8 tables, and has a weird layout -- probably because it was converted from a different type of business. But it's clean and adorned with Thai decorations. Plus there are TVs showing a video of gorgeous Thai scenery. Outside, the parking is kinda limited and also oddly laid out due to the triangular plot of land of the strip mall. Fortunately, it's never super packed when we were there, so we easily found a spot. What the Service Was Like: The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't check up on us too often (typical of Asian restaurants) and we had to flag down our server a couple of times. But they were always quick to help when we did. Overall: Nava Thai has quickly become one of our top 5 Thai restaurants in Orange County. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the pricing remains reasonable in an age when we're overcharged for everything. I WILL be returning!

The food was pretty solid, nothing too special but good food. They have a large selection of different foods on their menu. It is a smaller place but it wasn't too busy when we went at 7:30 pm on a Friday night. The mango sticky rice was really good!!

    Well worth it, nice dinner.

I normally only give 4 stars to places I really like cuz 5 stars may be hard to believe. However my 5 stars is true for Nava, and no they are not my relatives or friend . My wife and I both loved our 1st visit here and our three dishes were great. We paid almost $50 and will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Give this place a try and I hope you also enjoy the flavors. We ordered a noodle soup, crab fried rice and beef pad Thai. Thumbs up!!!

Got food to go. The place was clean and the lady who took our order was nice. The food came out fairly quickly and it was still hot when I got home. We ordered thai tea, pad thai, massaman curry, pineapple fried rice, bbq ribs, and received complimentary cream cheese wontons for an order over 50$ which was a lovely touch. Thai tea had a nice strong flavor with the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Pad thai was nice and saucy and had plenty of veggies. It was also loaded with chicken and shrimp. Massaman curry had a wonderful flavor that was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Potatoes and carrots add extra textures and heightens the dish. It came with a serving of white rice that does a great job of absorbing the flavors and pairs well. Pineapple fried rice was a delightful mix of savory and sweet! It had a generous amount of chicken chunks and cashews add a nice crunch to your bite. The pineapples add a burst of freshness. Bbq ribs were tender and the meat was practically falling off the bone. It was marinated in an array of spices that made it so flavorful. Cream cheese wontons were crispy with a good amount of filling. The sweet and sour sauce provided rounded out the palate. Thanks for a great lunch meal!

    Orange Chicken

Best Thai Food Restaurant in the OC!!! Small hidden gem in Orange CA. Amazing food, service, and relaxing ambience. We ordered Cashew Nut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. Both delicious Orange Chicken sauce is homemade and the greatest I have ever had! The Cashew Nut is a go-to-dish for us and never fails to please! Check them out!

The wrappers had a nice bite, and the filling was juicy with that signature bouncy texture. We ended up ordering three bowls of Mì Sủi Cảo Khô, and everyone cleaned their bowls. The food was solid, but the service was pretty much nonexistent. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive, although that's honestly something I've come to expect at a lot of places in Westminster. One thing that really stood out, though, was the condiment station. The chili oil, fresh chilies, and sauces looked dirty, and after tables were cleaned, the serving spoons and sauce dishes weren't replaced. I actually had to grab them from another table myself. Overall, I'd come back for the food because it was genuinely good, but the service and overall atmosphere could definitely use some improvement.

There was a crowd of people waiting outside so I was a bit nervous that it would take really long. But we added our name to the waitlist on the iPad outside and we were sat in less than 30 minutes (when we went on the list, we were party 13). The wait went by super fast! By the time we finished our meal, there were lots of open seats. I first heard of this place as a "copycat Din Tai Fung". I actually think it's better to think of this place as another Taiwanese restaurant that serves similar food to DTF, but not a copycat. Although some of the popular items are the same (XLBs for example) the restaurants are definitely different. Firstly, the service here is SO FAST. And all the servers were really kind! We ordered our food and it felt like everything came out within MINUTES of each other. By the time we had all our savory dishes, I had only taken one bite out of the first dish. That's how fast it was! Haha We ended up ordering: Spicy XLBs, Beef Roll, Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup, and Taro XLBs for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! My husband's favorite was the Beef Roll, while I think my favorite may have been the soup. The Spicy XLBs (4/5) were great! They felt quite large as I ALMOST had to eat them in two bites (but like why would I ever do that). Flavor was great and I thought there was actually very little spice in these. Compared to DTF'x XLBs, I thought these were just as juicy, but less ginger-forward (which made it feel less flavorful), and more sweet. I was personally missing some acid and wanted a bit more salt cuz it was a tad sweet. The Beef Rolls were pretty good too (4.25/5)! Nice and crispy. Even though it's pan fried, it felt light because of the vegetables. And I know this is weird to say, but the combination of beef, hoison sauce, and veggies almost tasted like pho flavors...but crispy? Yummy! I personally again wanted a bit more salt. But I'd definitely order again. Now for my favorite, the Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup (4.5/5). WOOWWEEE! She's spicy! And I have a good spice tolerance so beware. I really loved the flavor of the broth. It was spicy and also had a really clean flavor. It looked like it would be a watery broth but WRONG! It was so flavorful. I loved the chewy noodles too and even the noodles on their own were spicy cuz they clung onto the broth. A really delicious soup! I'd love to eat this on a cold winter's day or when I'm sick. Delicious! The Taro XLBs (3.9/4) were pretty good too, but skippable. They weren't too sweet, which was nice. They had a lovely consistency and good taro flavor. But compared to everything else, they weren't that special. Overall, a really delicious restaurant! I'd definitely come here if I was craving XLBs/Taiwanese food.
