Ordered a large chicken pho cause the small size portion looked real small. Also ordered shrimp spring rolls as an app. The pho broth was comforting and had depth to it. The female owner, I think she was the owner, was VERY hospitable, warm and welcoming. (This made up for our male server who didn't serve us waters out on the patio and didn't apologize for accidentally giving my flip flops a flat tire when walking us out to the patio lol.) The pho was unexpectedly impressive for this area, I'd say on par with establishments in Westminster. The peach drink was good but gone in a few sips, too much ice. To elaborate on how gracious the owner Eileen was, seeing how one of our kids was asleep in our minivan, she directed us to a better parking space. I've been on the search for amazing Vietnamese food in Yorba Linda and I think this is it! I've been quite weary about trying Vietnamese food in YL, as I've experienced not-so authentic Vietnamese food in the area. So I was pleased to find authentic food here! Wings with a warm baguette and pate were great starters. I had a small pho tai (filet mignon) and it was the perfect size, with perfect, comforting broth. Met up with my best friend here for lunch. This is our first time here she found it and we spent about almost 4 hours here catching up. The service is great. The food was good. I ordered the shaken beef came with rice and a salad, and my friend ordered the pho l. For our appetizers, we had the spring rolls and popcorn chicken. And we had iced coffee and the red velvet cream cheesecake. She had the caramel crunch muffin something like that, but I was able to taste that and it was really good. We ordered monarch fries, large bowl of filet mignon pho, chicken yellow curry with baguette to share family style. Filet mignon pho is savory, a bit saltier than other pho but also strong and flavorful. Monarch fries is thin fries with bbq meat (1/2 fat) and Italian ranch salad dressing. We had our book club meeting lunch here and we all loved the food. They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options so everyone could be accommodated. We reserved in advance and they had a very spacious booth for us in the back nook. Updating my original review from 2019. Since that experience, we've actually come back several times over the years and I have to say things have improved quite a bit. The service is noticeably better now and the overall experience has been much more positive. The owner even remembers us when we come in and always takes a moment for some friendly small talk, which is something we really appreciate. I will say the pricing is still on the higher side, but honestly with the way inflation has been the past few years it's understandable. That said, I do sometimes wish the price of pho was still $11.50 like it used to be... those were the days! Just moved to the neighborhood and still looking for goto spots for food. My nephew wanted pho so i yelped local places and this popped up. Ordered the filet pho and man did that not disappoint. Wifey and I stopped by for dinner at 7pm and were seated right away. Inside, they have a nice cozy setup with about 8-10 tables for seating along with more additional seating in their outdoor patio. As for their menu, they have a nice selection of different appetizers, pho, and rice dishes. They don't have a waitlist or anything, so when we came we placed our orders before sitting so when we got a table our food was ready sooner which was nice. The service was also amazing, all the staff were so kind and attentive, and definitely gave off homie vibes. For the food, I ordered a Large Filet Mignon Pho and my table shared some of the Monarch Fries. Pho: Wonderfully rich broth with incredibly tender meat. Oh my gosh, I can't believe I haven't left a review for this place sooner. They have the best beef pho, especially the one with the huge bone. Very nice place with excellent customer service. They use seaweed as a substitute for fish sauce so it's a great place for vegetarians and vegans. They also use only free range chickens that are not full of additives, according to their menu. They say they make all their broths from scratch. BAD service. BAD food. BAD business model. First and last time customer!! And yes, I plan to share this BAD review with my friends and family. Total bill including gratuity was $80.00 for three entrees. The food was subpar and salty. When you haven't served a dish, Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew) on your menu since pre-Covid in 2020, then it would be ideal to update your Yelp, menu and website. When you DO NOT tell customers that you're out of the beef broth for the filet mignon pho (only chicken broth or vegan broth available) then only course corrected because you (the owner) realize I am a Vietnamese customer, it's a bad call and leaves a bad taste. Additionally, don't try to sell me on how it's the same and that the only difference is the beef. I paid $21.95 so at least do me the courtesy by switching it to ginger pho ga (chicken). No, I don't want to buy your oceanfront property in Arizona. When customers have to fight over seating (a mom with two young kids or an elderly couple) for a sit down restaurant because it's order and pay BEFORE you can save a seat and table, then it might be ideal to reconsider your BAD setup. And no, you CANNOT do it first or simultaneously. Because it is in the order of which customer paid first. You will be fed some malarkey by the owner about how "seats will open up by the time your food arrives." When your wait staff are miserable and unfriendly, it speaks more about management and ownership. All heads are down. Bad vibes. When the people who bus tables and wipe down chairs leaves the table/chairs wet, you might want to consider investing in new absorbent towels. Because the owner commented to waiting customers, "Is it still wet?" tells me that you know in advance about this problem. How this place has the foot traffic it does for the bad Vietnamese food, high price point and terrible service, I do not understand. I will continue to give my business and money to LePho in Yorba Linda (by Trader Joe's). At least, I know as a Vietnamese person the food is authentic and the friendly (happy)-service is 100% by owner and wait staff. read more

The bread was almost soaking wet from what tasted like pork juice. The bread was also more sponge than crusty like most Vietnamese sandwiches. The "grilled" pork was steamed or boiled but definitely was not from any grill. The pickle vegetables were almost nonexistent, no flavor, and mushy. Mentally, I expected a Vietnamese sandwich and instead got a weird French dip with no flavor and only a nod to anything even remotely resembling all other banh mi I've ever had. And it had no flavor at all...almost like it didn't even have salt. I would never order that again and wouldn't recommend it for anyone expecting a "Vietnamese sandwich"... I suppose it's possible that It's my fault because I do think the board said it was a "French Vietnamese" sandwich so maybe there's a difference but either way it's not what I wanted or expected.
