This place is AWESOME! They took my husbands, hobby car, 1999 BMW Z3, that was literally in pieces, no drive shaft, no clutch, a gazillion wires pulled through the dash, the exhaust system laying on the ground, the rag top dry rotted, that had been sitting in someone's yard for 2.5 years on December 12 and had it cleaned up and running like a charm before Christmas. All that so I could give it to him as a Christmas present. He was so happy! So I bought a Used 2006 BMW 530i and it failed smog. I was told best to take it to the dealer for repairs since BMWs are harder to work on. I looked around first since I know the dealer would be super pricey and found this place. I dropped the vehicle off on Labor Day and drop my key in the slot on the door and called them the next day. I took my Mini Cooper in for a check engine light diagnostic and they checked it for me free of charge with a print out of the error codes. They recommended I get my oil changed before I do anything and see if that was causing the issues but I decided to do it somewhere else. There was no pressure and the guy was very nice. Called and the owner gave me a warm welcome via phone and invited me down. Showed up with no appointment and they immediately got to work troubleshooting. They provided me a fair quote and explained exactly what is needed to be done. I will be bringing the car in for the repair soon and feel confident that they will exceed my expectations. Took my Land Rover to get its 30,000 mile service done, they were accommodating and did same day service! They were also very thorough and I had the air filters replaced but afterwords I noticed a faint noise so I took it back. They were able to find out it was a piece of debris that got stuck when they closed the filter back up. They took care of it no questions asked! Great customer service. My 2006 MINI Cooper (S) had a shifting problems up and down through the gears in auto mode for over 6 months. The dealer had a few chances to evaluate the problem. They finally told us a part replacement as solution (third time diagnostics was enough $$$) I decided to look for outside service after 10 years with them. Chris is very knowledgeable and knew fully about the Trans and was very helpful. Tim the engineer provided great work. They even found other electronic issue which dealer never reported to us. My car is fix and now 10 years old, functions as a new car feeling with less $$$. During service, I had a loan car for my transportation and update from them from time to time. All I have to say is that these guys are awesome! My car would not start on a Saturday morning and I desperately needed to get somewhere. I live in the neighborhood right behind their shop so I walked over to see if they could help. My car is not generally the type of vehicle they work on as I have a 1961 Bug, but nonetheless they said they would walk over to my home to take a look. It appeared to not be something they could easily fix so the mechanic helped me push it into his shop. When he and his colleague took a look under the car, it appeared that a wire was not connected properly to the started so they bandaged my baby back up. The mechanics here in this shop were so generous they didn't even charge me. Their kindness and generosity go above and beyond. This really shows how much they care! read more

While on a road trip in my '65 bug, my breaks went out! In desperate need to get new breaks, I began calling every auto shop around. 7 shops refused to even look at my car due to how old it was. Finally I came across Import Auto Service. He agreed to see me immediately, and was straightforward/honest from the beginning. Being a Saturday, there was no guarantee that he would be able to get the shoes or drums needed. Tim was amazing though! While the other mechanic worked in my car *so sorry I forgot your name!*, Tim called and had the parts delivered to the shop within 15-20 minutes. We went to the taqueria next door, also amazing place!, and they got my car done extremely fast! He gave me an extremely good price and even offered to help me with anything else while we were in the area , anytime! The hospitality was more than any shop I have ever encountered before and I cannot thank them enough! They got us back in the road and we made it all the way back to Half Moon Bay. Also they put an amazing cleaner on my white wall tires and they are still shining after the long drive! I cannot thank them enough! And I would recommend them to everyone.
