My wife and I decided a pizza would taste good for dinner on a Friday evening. Driving back from Kahuku the other day, we noticed a pizza food truck just a few steps away from the house where we are staying. He is only open Thursday and Fridays, so wanting pizza on Friday was fortuitous. On a whim I decided to call around 3:00 pm to see if I could order a pizza for a 5:30 pick up. The answer was "yes", and a good thing I did. Because when I went to pick up my pizza, he had to tell a young family he was sorry but he was sold out. So, ordering ahead of time was a really smart move. I ordered a supreme pizza. It was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, black olives, green pepper, onions, cheeses, but no mushrooms because he was out of them. That was okay, though. The pizza itself is huge. 20" overflowing the pizza box. Once I got back to the house, we immediately sat down at our table to eat the pizza because it was quite hot. We could only eat two pieces each because of the overall size of the pizza. We now have enough leftover pizza for dinner tonight. Just need to reheat it. This pizza place is quite interesting because it is a trailer attached to his truck on the side of the major road along to coast. He can tow it to different locations if he wanted to. We're just glad that he decided to locate it fairly close to our location. read more

Holy cow! This pizza was by far the best pizza I've had, ever! And this is coming from both trying many pizza spots and making pizza at home. The guy that runs the truck is super chill and does a great job to both make sure you get everything you want, and also ensure you know the price you are paying for the pizza (adding additional toppings can add up rather quickly of course) And, well, as far as atmosphere goes, it's pizza next to the beach...what more can you ask for! My wife and I stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort, which is at the crossroads of Nowhere and Desolate on the North Shore of Oahu. As such, the resort is more than happy to sell you mediocre food at exorbitant prices. Therefore, we decided to venture elsewhere and find some grindz, local style. My wife and I had a hankering for some pizza on Thursday...so we braved the traffic in North Shore (surfing competition at Pipeline) and sought out Impossibles Pizza, pizza we've heard great things about. We tried other pizzas since returning from Italy and we were mostly disappointed with the quality of the base/crust and the overall taste. However, we are happy to report that Impossibles Pizza delivered a good base/crust and great taste...with fresh ingredients. Quite possibly the best pizza we've had in Hawaii. Located across from Foodland by Shark's Cove, Impossibles Pizza is on a food truck operated by Micah, an artist with a brick oven, making delicious pizza. We learned, while ordering our Supreme pizza, that the brick oven in the truck/van was "relocated" from an old pizza shop by Ted's bakery and "re-purposed" as a brick oven in the food truck. A guy ordering a pizza told us all about it...and he claimed he even helped Micah install the brick oven in the truck...true or not, we are thankful for his efforts. The pizza was H-U-G-E...it was spilling over the edges of the pizza box. Micah had to tape the box up so it would remain shut. We parked our SUV, with the back facing the ocean, and savored the pizza while watching the waves at sunset. Quite romantic, really. The pizza wedges were big enough to use as chock blocks and can probably prevent a truck from moving...except the crust is thin. We can only finish two wedges each (and that was probably too much as it was) and had to take back the rest of the pizza home...which, by the way, was just as good the following day. Supreme pizza cost $28...more than enough to feed an entire American family of four...or an entire Chinese village...and it only took less than 15 minutes for the pizza to be ready from the time we placed our order. NOTE: I am grading on a curve. Having just returned from living in Italy, the pizza is not quite as good as the pizza we get from the local pizzeria we get there...but based on other pizzas we've had here in Hawaii, it's quite possibly the best we've had since returning to paradise. read more

They're now pretty much static across from the Foodland so it's easier to find them. I ordered my masterpiece at about 4:15 for a 5:30 pick up after our jaunt to Haleiwa town for shave ice. Returned to Impossibles at 5:25: pizza was ready to go, just in time to watch the setting sun from the rocks under some shade, Pic Nic style. $25 for the large, but enough for dinner and lunch the next day. We were stuffed and just had a slice for lunch. We still have two more slies for tmw! The owner's name is Micah. You'll find Micah working inside of his food truck, on a rainy night, pitch dark, with a smile on his face. I had the pleasure of meeting Micah today, and purchasing some of his deliciously crafted pizza. My fiancée and I were looking for some good pizza on the North Shore; a place where you're not going to find sprawling blocks of strip malls and food courts. The Impossibles food truck screams of a North Shore, Hawaiian lifestyle, with a laid back surfer situation. Don't let that fool you though. Micah is legit. He has a strong philosophy about crafting and serving a quality pizza, and his dedication to his craft will become very apparent once you take home and devour one of Impossibles' pies. Impossibles is locally owned and operated. I could tell you to do Micah a favor and support a local business, but I don't need too because the pizza speaks for it's self. Perfect thickness for thin crust pizza. Not crunchy, folds nicely. Perfect amount of grease and cheese. And a good overall size (one size only available) even though it's $24 (cash only btw). Takes about 25-30 min to cook. Relatively easy parking. It's a perfect meal to take and head to the beach for a sunset.
