I suppose that is to be expected in Hawaii and in a hotel. A very modest breakfast for 2 with tax and tip usually exceeds $50. Service is friendly and the food comes out moderately quickly. You order at the cash register, they give you a number, and you find a table inside or outside and they bring your food. We like to sit outside and enjoy the weather so the ambience is pleasant. There are other restaurants in the area that are cheaper if you want to get in your car. Or, you can walk to the Polynesian cultural center where there are quite a number of food trucks and some of them serve breakfast. All trucks are open during lunch and dinner time.

At the end of our meal, Telani walked over and handed us a personalized postcard that she had written to commemorate our visit! The texture was flaccid and it had a gamey smell and taste to it though, in fairness, untrimmed poultry thighs have a similar taste and smell. It briefly ran through my brain that maybe they ran out of store-bought chicken and subbed feral chicken, it was that bad. The inside of the trailer was run down and incredibly cluttered and dirty. The pork was wok fried with a combination of fresh veggies, and was the perfect complement to the ahi cakes.
